Big Lee Legend puts Miller through again for
fonics7 replied to BLUEDIGNITY's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
well played Lee, fuckin braw winning the ball, and a lovely weighted pass in for Kenny. -
The atmosphere was as quiet as usual and the volume only increased a handful of times in my opinion. At the 2 goals, Jelavic coming on & when we didn't get a decision - There's far too many people that go to Ibrox and don't sing. I kinda understand the "the team need to entertain the crowd" philosophy, but why don't you take that train of thought with you at a Champions League game too ?
-
what a cracking signing
-
is hodge that 15 year old that was on the blue heaven tv programme years ago ? he moved to blackburn from us & was scottish under 15 or 16 captain at the time
-
If we sign Smith & Jelavic, I think that means Lafferty & Naismith will be used in midfield more often than up top. I'm not overly impressed with the prospect of signing Smith - but then again I had the same impression when the papers talked of us signing Novo, Prso & Rod Wallace...look how they turned out

Webster can finally find his rhythm at Blues
fonics7 replied to bombaybadboy08's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
definately I think Andy Websters a good CH, hopefully it's Webster & Bougherra partnering each other this season -
Nice to see that we're getting some money for the last two lads to leave. Allowing Boyd, Beasley & Novo to go for fuck all is just not good business management

I played CM, and my target for games would be to get at least 2 shots at goal during a game. I'd try and push for more if the situation/time came for an effort. Depended on our tactics if I was given the chance to get forward or not, but I'd certainly be looking to hit 3 or 4 shots on target during each 90 mins. Naisy is a striker, whether he is playing left flank, right flank or through the middle, he needs to have efforts on goal. Shy bairns get no sweeties.
-
haha, get a grip guys
-
i'd hazard a rough guess that about 4 or 5 of our posters have seen him in more than 10 games. Yet he is slated all through this thread. This will be a long season if there is this level of judgement around our supporters ?

our bench looks quality i'm loving the look of it, get them on for the 2nd half Walter
-
Yes, Yes and Yes ! Above are 3 reasons Thomson was sold (along with only having 1year on contract left of course)
-
Why would anyone be confident that we can keep a hold of Davis or Bougherra now ? Selling Thomson for fuckin £2million is a joke ! If that is the correct fee, then I'd reckon our moneymen would listen to offers of £3/£4million per playervfor both Davis & Bougherra. Guys, should either be sold - you and I will want more than £3/£4 million, but in the club's situation, I'm not so sure we'll get more. Likewise should we receive an offer for McGregor
-
Edu has played at CH for the States, so i agree with OP - we certainly don't need a CH. LM, RM & CF please Walter
-
you two are correct, but take into consideration the periods when we have injuries, i still think the youths will get games then. Not ideal, cos you would rather have youths playing than seasoned pro's out of position week in week out.
-
We'll get injuries this season, we always do. By the looks of the recent cash strapped stories, I think this season more than ever before, Walter will be "forced" into playing more young lads. I love the idea of youths being given a chance, just wish Walter would come around to the idea
-
aye bud, i meant to put him in my last post. Bendiksen is meant to be pretty classy too MON THE YOUTHS !!!
-
Hemmings looks a big strong lad & looks the part, and Archie Campbell is quick and knows where the net is. Rory Loy had a good scoring record at youth level, whether he can make the step up to SPL, time will tell. Andy Shinnie has had glowing reports from Hong Kong tourny & Dundee fans. John Fleck & Danny Wilson, in my humble opinion should be first team regulars. Gregg Wylde should also be in our 16 week in/week out. Would love to see him at LM/LW to see what he can do
-
Gregg Wylde, Thomas Kind Bendiksen, Jamie Ness, Kane Hemmings, Kai Naismith, Andy Shinnie, Steven Stirling, Archie Campbell & Rory Loy have all been spoken highly of, in the past 12months. I agree with you Muff, if some these lads can be given an opportunity to show what they have, along with Fleck, Little & Wilson - then there are 12 youths that should be able to do us a job. Jordan McMillan - there's 13 extra players. Our first team squad is thin in terms of experienced pro's, but our youths have a ton of potential.
-
Sadly, this is very, very true. However, on a positive spin - I will like seeing youths given their chance. It's just a shame the main reason the young lads have a chance of a game this season under Walter, is due to our non existent finances. Have to ask yourself how good our youths are, when McMillan has agreed an extension & Walter quoted "he is ready to come in and support the first team if necessary." IF NECESSARY ? the lad will be a regular squad player this season & will probably get a fair few games.
-
Walters reliance on Steven Davis suggests otherwise. he picked beasley quite regularly though didn't he ?
-
But saying that... Are we really looking for any players to bring in, I have my doubts. The way things are heading it wont just be Celtic we need to look out for, Dundee Utd and Hibs wont be far behind. I agree with these points too, it will get to the last day of the transfer window again & well bring in shite like Rothen to fill the bench. IF we aren't going to bring in pro's, then I hope some of our youth players are given more of a chance
