  1. Tbf, Donnelly is what he is but any time I have heard him he shoots from the hip and calls things pretty much as they are…
  2. Heard Postecoglou on the radio earlier today, had to switch it off. Over the last few months and especially following his actions on remembrance day I’ve progressively grown to have a real dislike for him, anyone else of this opinion? At least with Lennon his nonsense was expected as a dyed in the wool follower of them, hasn’t taken the current incumbent long to slide in to the standards we expect of their institution…
  3. I remembered that game as being in Ibrox, my bad. Fair point re the European match also. I just felt his whole tactical approach changed towards them after that match but like you say fatigue may have played it’s part on his thinking that day. Unless my memory’s totally going wasn’t there a foul on Jack (I think) that wasn’t given on the build up to their goal also?…
  4. Michael Stewart is a paid employee of celtic, do you expect anything other than for him to play to his core audience (I was about to add ‘even at the expense of his credibility’) then I remembered it’s Michael Stewart I was talking about🙄…
  5. Gerrard did the exact same in his first game against them and that was at home. I imagine the learning curve he took from that match will replicate itself with GVB, I never expect us to be to timid and unaggressive against them ever again under his tenure…
  6. Undoubtedly the best forward in this league, (plus his link up play and work rate is superb) had his up’s and down’s but he’s matured in to a top talent who is only going to develop further. GVB speaking to him in his native tongue, Roy Makaay, settled in to family life with his daughter? Who knows but he’s got his hunger and intensity back and I see him finishing top goal scorer in the league this season (as champions of course)…
  7. If anyone was serious about them they’d be looking at sanctions covering far more than a league game…
  8. Yeh, best we can hope for now is he has learned as did Gerrard that you need to be aggressive and play on the front foot against them…
  9. Reminded me of Gerard’s first game against them, we were very passive, stood off of the play and suffered the consequences. Not sure about the 3 ghosts lol, but GVB certainly looked like he got a fright and like yourself I hope he learned a valuable lesson…
  10. Fair point, hopefully the hurt of the nature of that defeat on Wednesday plus the noise surrounding it will be something they never want to experience again. Plus, with Jack back, Alfredo looking hungry and Ramsay added to the squad we look like a completely different animal to that of Wednesday. Onwards and upwards…
  11. You only have to look at the reaction from Holyrood (Sturgeon et all) re the Raith Rovers situation compared with nothing on the industrial child abuse at celtic, which has had and likely to have more ‘criminal’ convictions to back this up. I have no doubt that had it been Rangers instead of celtic in that position this type of political comment and pressure that would be relentless x10… Why stop at Holyrood, MSM/ SSB/ Elected local representative’s, Evidence mysteriously going missing from production rooms prior to high profile trials, the list goes on…
  12. Fair point, but regardless of a change in their game tasking it’s no excuse for a players lack of heart, ambition or endeavour which unfortunately last night we witnessed in abundance. As for GVB, I’m genuinely unsure what his ‘style of play’ is at the moment, he stated on interview prior to the game that his team did not play counter attacking football, but over the last few matches that’s exactly how it’s looked. In summary however, he has some serious work to do and if he wants to keep any level of fan support, he had better start doing it sooner rather than later…
  13. Yeh, a lot of understandable raw emotion in here tonight, reminded me of Gerard’s first game against them where we sat back and got beat by a goal, GVB had better learn and reassess his tactics, and quickly, Gerrard did. Shutting the site down for the night and look at things with a cool (cooler) head in the morning, so disappointing but not totally unexpected after our last few games…
  14. Bold prediction with this scenario…. ‘Oh looks like we’ve lost’…. ‘lets see if the producer can get him back’ … ‘not been able to reconnect however here we have Frank from Royston to take his place’ :-)…
  15. It’s a show with a planned narrative from start to finish, if any caller changes tack that paints a certain club (who pays to advertise with them on every break incidentally) they always have to finish for a break cutting things short yet never amazes me how much air time the many moonhowlers they attract seem to accrue. If anyone plans to listen then set your expectations low and you’ll never be disappointed….
  16. …….. take your pick mate, the list is not a short one of late…
  17. Yeh I was surprised at this myself, given his (Advocaat’s) high profile and level of success I think he’s now woven in to the fabric of the club and probably is remembered as being here longer than he actually was. With Gerrard the time has literally flown bye, probably a combination of lack of silverwear like you say plus the covid pandemic etc, how time flies…
  18. Could have just stopped here🙄
  19. He certainly was cheating (imo) on that game at theirs, whether this was unconscious bias, favouritism or afraid to upset the crowd and face the later consequences. There is no way his decision making that day over the many highlighted incidents was unbiased, fair or even handed. One or two decisions maybe but straight from that penalty award (likes of which I don’t think I’ve seen since), his decision making was bizarre, one sided and crossed the line of incompetence…
  20. Remember that too Scott and also remember there was nowhere the level of condemnation of the Dundee United player as we are seeing/ hearing from MSM, literally because of who the injured players team is. I watched the tackle again and the Livingston player literally had nowhere else to put his foot after winning the ball. Is this based on he won the ball, but he did it too aggressively, not like it was a sliding challenge or out of control, literally trial by media (their media it would seem)…
  21. He’d be one of many in a long queue who should hang their heads in shame if your post ever came to fruition CB…
  22. Gordon Duncan (celtic fan I’m convinced) fawns over him like a long lost grandad and the rest of the presenters aren’t far behind. This is a man who was at the forefront of Scottish football journalism for decades and I have no doubt was aware of all of the abuse going on at celtic park (or at least suspected it). However, here he is on a program which was tripping over itself to welcome callers (east end tax experts and suchlike) to make comment during a police investigation when we had our troubles and refuses to talk about the celtic abuse case (largest in world football). He drones on about his grandchildren however was he concerned of the countless grandchildren/ children who were being abused when I have no doubt he was aware and could have highlighted it. I’d love to hear him put on the spot if the ‘separate entity’ excuse stacks up? Apologies, a bit off thread but the guy is an increasingly bitter one sided clown…
  23. Outraged at Rangers report re Clancy ‘they complain about everything’, similarly outraged at the ‘referees failure to protect celtic players from industrial primitive football played by Alloa’, the epitome of the clowns clown who wouldn’t recognise irony if it slapped him across the face… (well actually he probably would but that would be contrary to his agenda of late)…
  24. Quite happy for him to continue to ramble on, actually can’t remember the last time I enjoyed listening to this as much, clown of the highest order…
