We could see Diomande moved out wide left as he played there at times in Denmark, and Silva moved onto the right, but not sure who is available that the manager would then use in the centre of the park. The idea of Jack or Raskin coming in there is worrying.

Could also see Matondo come into the line up, though again, he hasn't played a whole lot. If Clement somehow got a tune out of him on the right wing then I think he might be a miracle worker.

Not much wriggle room. Just have to back them for the duration and see where it takes us.

I would play Matondo purely because I think we'll get plenty space in behind them.

Then why do you believe you know better than Pep, Klopp, Clement etc?

Clement who is saying we go full pelt into every game?

It's comes with the territory playing at a big club. Fuck hoping we get beat on Thursday to make things a bit easier.

It’s not how it works. You don’t just fully recover back to peak in a week. There’s all sorts of research on this stuff - repeated muscle microtrauma that happens with each game, CNS fatigue, increased injury risk, inflammation etc

All that can affect performance as well as injury risk.

Just a nonsense to say that it has no effects.

There’s a reason top managers rotate players when they can.

And some of our players like Tav and Lundstrum will have played as many minutes as anyone in European football post the winter break.

    Neither of them are internationals.

At that stage of the season we'd just come out of a winter break and we had 2 cup games against cannon fodder. Had we lost the league because of points dropped later on the season when fatigue really should set in, the run might have been a factor.

We dropped most of the points before we played in Europe. Was that fatigue?

Dundee United pretty sure played them after a euro game. Either way if you don't think playing big matches on a Thursday night can have an impact physically and mentally especially this year with our injury crisis then good luck to you.

We've played 11 games in Europe this season, 10 last season, and 19 the season before that. If players are too tired to play after these games they shouldn't be at Rangers.

Yeah but it obviously wasn't over, I doubt we'd of won it either but my point is there is a clear sequence of it no leading to league champions

It had no impact. The majority of the points we dropped after the break was a 4 week period that started before we played in Dortmund. Winning positions lost against Aberdeen, Ross County and Motherwell. We missed a shit load of chances against Dundee United.

The tarriers beat us at Ibrox after an international break. That effectively ended it.

We went to extra time twice in a week after Leipzig and the final and won in the Scottish cup. Blaming Europe is a cheap excuse for us shitting the bed in the league.

Bullshit was only a point or 2 in it, the dropped points to Dundee away Motherwell at home and defeat to them at ibrox did it

There was 6 points in it in January before we played Dortmund. We fucked it against Aberdeen and Ross County in winning positions and then had to go to their dump 2 points ahead instead of 6. Completely different dynamic at that point and we shat the bed. They barely dropped a point after that.

Had we not been playing in Europe we still wouldn't have won the league.

Do you disagree with my comment? It fucked us is 2008 against a similarly uninspired celtic team and we had way less injuries, I am concerned about it.

Having to play 6 games in 2 weeks fucked us.

Surely just not risking him because he’s not long back, but would be hilarious if he’s fucked his hamstring again

Probably but it's not like they have two games a week and you'd think he'd maybe be on the bench.

That's the worst looking team of theirs in years.

100%. Might not be an exaggeration to say those 3 have played as many minutes as any player in a top European league. (And cumulatively over the past few seasons).

How many other teams have made it to their domestic cup final, still on a European run and don’t rest players in their domestic cups/europa league matches or have a large enough squad they rotate.

Just hope they don’t run out of steam towards the end. A bit like Arsenal did last season when they had a slim squad.

We don't have as many internationals as we maybe had in previous seasons. In the last European run we had Barisic, Bassey, Balogun, Aribo, Jack, Davis, Kamara, Morelos, Ramsey, Sakala.

Getting to that break without further injury is key.

I remember Ryan Jack getting sent off a good few years ago for a tackle at Pittodrie. ( on stevie may i think?)

Get's the ball but the follow through catches the opponent.

Since then it's usually a red card if it high speed or with excessive force.

The ref seemed well positioned and his assistant was very close to the incident.  Does anyone believe they somehow didn't see it?

The linesman isn't watching it. The ref had a perfect view. VAR has multiple angles and plenty of time to see it.
