Not often I agree with with Esquire but today is the day. Dio was superb today and will give us a great return on our outlay. Some posters need to realise that midfielders will surrender possession due to the time they receive the ball in precarious positions, Lundstram is a good example.

Had a look and agree with you on the post-split fixtures. Strangely optimistic as Killie and St Mirren away for them are never easy games. Our away games are likely to be more open affairs which suits our style.

By my reckoning there were 6 major referee/VAR decisions in this game. Ignoring the rights and wrongs of the 6, that is an incredible number of calls to justifiably debate after a single game. My concern in what I believe will be a very tight run-in is that there is no confidence that VAR can correct even the most blatant wrong decisions. We are constantly told that VAR look at all critical actions, this mid-week highlights that they are constantly getting it badly wrong. I am dreading the wrong call that costs us a fair crack at winning this league.

Should have been a doing for county but fair do’s to their goalie, made some good saves and a few lucky ones. Got to say I’d rather we miss a few unlucky attempts on a night when we win 3-1 than a time when we win one fluke goal for a win. This league will be won by the team that doesn’t blink first, that will be us!
