  1. This is fucking madness re Cantwell. It’s like a tim narrative. Anger is being directed in the wrong place. Sima, Lammers, Danilo, Barasic, Tav, Cifuentes… all fucking brutal. He was by no means the player who should’ve been replaced tonight. Hope there’s individual threads about those frauds.
  2. Christ. Do we need goals...? Yes. Do we know any strikers who can score loads of goals in the SPL...? Yes. Do we want to win the league...? Yes. Get him back and worry about how crap he is when we're celebrating 55.
  3. From the official BBC report: "Celtic manager Neil Lennon can only dream of a transfer budget that could attract the likes of Falcao and Diego and the home side always appeared to have another gear as they built on the perfect start." Why do these clowns ALWAYS get a BBC excuse allowance? If this was us it'd be "Debt ridden Rangers can't afford decent players..." Fucking bring on Sunday. Right up them.
  4. Thought he was the most pro-active player in the Scotland team tonight by a fair bit. A few of our more senior players could have looked to him and the way he wore the jersey. If he plays like that for us on the weekends then he should be a sure start.
  5. Thought Fletch was decent, Brown was average. Maloney was shocking (one cross?). Miller missed too many chances, but they were a few leagues above us in general play. The main positive was Naismith who didn't show any great skill, but was prob man of the match in terms of wanting to win. It's a pain in the arse watching Scotland. Must be what it feels like to support them.
  6. Met big Eck at Springstein gig at Hyde park tonight. Total legend. Asked him about Fergie and got a total look of 'as if I'd tell you!' Brilliant!
  7. In the last few games, our midfield and team in general have been god awful. I can't understand why individuals are constantly picked out when we should be worried about the whole lot of them. Edu did well in the first half last night as did others (he's done well in the odd game here and there but equally been posted missing in others). Does that make him any better than Barry? Our captain should be ashamed of himself for the last few weeks, but certainly not since he came back from Blackburn (as Traynors' propaganda would have us believe). Consider the dross he's been used to in the last few years and you can potentially understand why he sometimes takes too much on himself. At the moment I don't consider either of them 1st choice. However, Mendes and Davis have just as much, if not more, to answer to (in that they don't have Barry's history to fall back on). The lack of stomach for a fight combined with (at times) a worrying lack of skill beggers belief. Consider what we've had in the past (on a budget might I add) and it could actually be laughable where it not so tragic. We can see obvious flaws in our defence/midfield/attack, yet I worry that the sometimes scapegoat attitude of both journalists and fans disguises the real problem. Our team is suffering from complete mediocrity and certain high profile individuals seem to blind us from this simple fact. We are sitting behind a Celtic team who are there to be crushed, but we don't seem to have the balls to do it. Although I don't post on here, I always read what other fans have to say about the club I pay to watch every week. It worries me that we seem happy to argue the case for certain players who wouldn't even have gotten close to a game 7 or 8 years ago. Maybe, instead of always blaming the same few names, we should look at a far more complicated and worrying problem.
  8. There's an awful lot of blinkered loyalty on here. I'm a Rangers fan first and foremost, and will support this team till I die. It bewilders me at times the amount of fans who express an extreme opinion on certain players! I'll use Boyd and Novo as an example here. Each and every one of us will happily cheer when these two score (which they both do in important games for us no question) yet we seem to revel in their individual failings. Boyd can be lazy (not as much as some claim) and Novo can at times play like he should still be at Dundee. But lets be honest here, compared to teams of the past, we don't have players at the moment to compare. Barry can be outstanding, Cuellar is class... but apart from that?! Surely we should just appreciate what we've got?! I've been a member on this site for ages and enjoy the banter, but I've only recently been compelled to post. I think this is our year... lets just get behind the f***ing team!
