  1. Outstanding statement from the Rangers board, probably the best I have ever seen! It's almost as if the board asked D’Artagnan to write this statement, venting the pent-up frustrations us supporters feel after years of ‘dignified silence’. Whoever did write it, take a bow! Now that this longstanding boil has been lanced we must keep pressing our case. We cannot go back from this new line in the sand. It appears that there is almost universal support for this stance within the Rangers community so let’s galvanise this feeling and push forward against our detractors. Names have been mentioned, with good reason, and they must now be forced to fall on their sword. For any of the hard-of-thinking, Rangers hating brigade lurking here, consider this; are you really trying to compare fans singing a song containing a so-called ‘offensive word’ against the actual physical assault of football players on a pitch? Really - just take a step back and think about that again and see how twisted your thought process has become, Spiers, English, et al.
  2. Superb game and excellent performances from all the boys in blue. For me, Black and Wallace were outstanding and really dictated the play for 3/4 quarters of the game. Well worth missing a night's sleep to watch that!
  3. The sound and pictures are great on the official Rangers TV source so it must be the relay. When did we get the score and time graphics? Never noticed that before but long overdue. Happy 140th Birthday Rangers, now give us some goals for our present!
  4. Sitting in Perth, Oz watching our fantastic fans with the cards celebrating 1872 does your heart good! What a club, what a support - the best in the world without a doubt! WATP - We welcome the chase!
  5. Done and sent to all the Bears and sensible thinking people on my Facebook contact list.
  6. Thanks El Carpintero Now settled down with a beer for a late night Sunday in Oz to watch the Gers with BBC Alba and Overplay smart DNS. Here's hoping the BBC servers can handle all the traffic in 15 minutes!!! C'mon the Bears
  7. Unbelievable! Just when you think you have seen it all Reagan and Doncaster reach new depths of stupidity and corruptness. Will someone of note please make a public stand and call for the heads of these two clowns and bring this charade to an end!
  8. Having moved away from Scotland, I have not experienced first-hand the day-to-day developments of the excruciating attempted destruction of the team I love. Instead, I have kept quiet about all of the goings on, using this forum as my primary source of information from the other side of the world of what was happening to us. God knows, the Scottish media have been a collective shambles in trying to report impartially (!!!) about what was going on at Ibrox. Hopefully we are now reaching the end of this indefensible witch hunt in which the hatred and malice shown to Rangers has left me absolutely gobsmacked! Being a previous ST holder I have sung ‘no one likes us, we don’t care’ many times, but the feeding frenzy of hatred and demands for punishment, almost to the point of our extinction, has been astonishing to say the least. I think this is the most one-sided, unfair fight I have ever seen. People that I have known for years, and thought were decent folks, have shown themselves on Facebook, Twitter and other public forums for what they are, acting like a baying, blood crazed mob of hounds on a fox hunt. The level of malevolence and vindictiveness has been appalling. The SFA and SPL have been an utter disgrace. Regan and Doncaster should be absolutely ashamed of how they have conducted their respective organisations. We all know that they have been manipulated by the scheming, malicious, and jealous oaf Liewell, but that is no excuse. We can all see that whilst that bitter little excuse of a player & manager from the east end of Glasgow was publicly whining about conspiracies against Celtic for years, that his paymasters were slowly, but surely, manoeuvring themselves into powerful positions within the Scottish football organisations, waiting for their moment. Their moment came whenever that lying cheat Craig Whyte was allowed to buy (?) Rangers. Of course David Murray is complicit in this whole unsavoury affair, and one can only hope that if there is an honest police inquiry into the sale of Rangers, that the two guilty characters in this charade, Whyte and Murray, will be brought to justice and pay the requisite price. A nice little cell for two in the notorious B hall at Bar-L will do for starters! That is what happens when greed, power and delusions of grandeur get the better of people who should have been clever enough to know better. They (and their accomplices) are the guilty ones and deserve all that is coming to them, but none of the resulting debacle was the fault of the team, manager, fans or the entity that is Rangers. All we are guilty of is supporting the most successful club team in the world. And therein lies a big part of the problem, jealousy. But what of everyone else’s contribution in what will be remembered as Scotland’s most embarrassing sporting period for generations to come? Again back to Regan and the SFA. An organisation that is supposed to be there to support its member clubs. What did they know about Craig Whyte? Even if they knew nothing of Whyte’s background, there were a select few journalists making enough noise about him that even the thickest SFA employee would have been alerted? What of their supposed ‘fit and proper persons’ criteria that we heard so much about? What about three Rangers Directors being sacked and another two resigning from the club because they were not being allowed to fulfil their Directors duties, one of them being John Greig, with the club for 40 years and still classed by many as the greatest Ranger ever. This was only 5 months into Whyte’s disastrous tenure, and still almost 5 months before the fateful day of 14 February 2012, and yet still no alarm bells rang at Stewart Regan’s office. The same Stewart Regan that had previously told us that he would have his finger on the pulse and be at the forefront of pushing Scottish football forward! Again look at this man’s previous employment connections and it is easy to see why his Ibrox blinkers were on. At best incompetent, at worst a cheat of the highest order. Either way, he should be removed from his position immediately. And that is even before we start to look at his Twitter gaffs. Is Regan Teflon coated as nothing seems to stick? As for Regan’s fellow Englishman and head of the SPL, Neil Doncaster where was he during all this? We heard next to nothing from him, in-fact he might as well have been out for a wander with Captain Oates whilst Rangers were being assaulted. Again, isn’t the purpose of these organisations to look after and support their members? Compare how Rangers were treated by the SFA and SPL and how the English FA helped Portsmouth. Instead of sitting back trying to think up illegal punishments under the guise of ‘sporting integrity’ the FA offered Portsmouth £800K to try and help them through to the end of the season. And now I’ve said it, the catchphrase of every anti-Rangers person in Scotland, ‘Sporting Integrity’. Don’t make me laugh, when was the last time anyone witnessed sporting integrity in Scottish football? What does surprise me however, is how our friends from the opposite side of the city have demanded all these sanctions against Rangers in the name of ‘sporting integrity’. Really? Where does ‘sporting integrity’ figure on the scale compared to sexual molestation of young boys? They obviously have short memories over at Janefield Street and given the recent sanctions, stripping of titles and $60 million dollar fines at Penn State University, maybe Gollum and Liewell will be wishing they had kept their face shut! Even more remarkable was watching that idiot Michael Kelly pontificate about ‘sporting Integrity’ when we all now know that his family helped cover up the sordid Torbett affair! The irony that Jock Stein got rid of Torbett (without informing the police or authorities) for molesting players only to replace him with Frank Cairney, who was also involved in another covered up Celtic Boys Club sex scandal, is laughable. I would much rather support a team that has had financial discrepancies with the tax man rather than that lot who have that most shameful of all histories at Celtic Park!!! How dare they try and take the moral high ground under the claim of ‘sporting integrity’. But then again, they are the people that tell their children that they are different at the age of 5 and separate them from the other kids on the street to send them to a religious school until the age of 18 and then expect them to all to slot back in together and live happily ever after! Of course, as we all know the sectarian problem in Scotland is all Rangers’ fault because of our songs! Aye right ye are! If you are still reading Timothy, jog on! During this entire debacle where has the Scottish Government been? Or the opposition parties? Not a word, hiding away in Westminster and Edinburgh like cowards afraid to put their head above the parapet to help end this mauling. You may well hide just now but you will have to come back into public view when trying to get votes at the next election. The Rangers support, and all other fair minded people in Scotland, will have cause to ask what you did to help when one of Scotland’s most famous and successful institutions was wilfully dismantled. This must have caused huge disruptions to and left an indelible mark on the social fabric of Scotland that will be felt for generations. Shame on all you politicians. And whilst still in the world of officialdom, what of HMRC’s role in this? Whilst many other clubs have like Rangers been in administration, it is normal for a CVA or some other positive attempt to save a bad situation to be accepted. But not for Rangers. This time HMRC want to prove a point and go after the people behind the debacle. What was wrong Mr. Taxman with accepting the CVA, getting some money and then allowing the police to pursue the individuals responsible for any illegal actions. Rangers would have been back playing and contributing to the HMRC coffers under the good governance of a new board. Instead, most of the players are gone and the cost to Scotland, including the taxman, when more teams collapse is incalculable. How much of Allan McGregor’s £30K per week in Turkey will HMRC see! However, despite all my previous ranting’s above (if you are still reading here, thank you and well done), one thing surprises me most of all. With the exception of you guys here on the Rangers Media and a few other forums voicing your opinions, why is no one publicly standing up for Rangers and the tortuous persecution we have had to suffer? Where are the people of note and famous Rangers supporters saying enough is enough and helping to bring some common sense and realism back to this situation. If it was Celtic you can rest assured that Sean Connery, Rod Stewart and Billy Connolly, John Reid, et al, would be shouting from the rooftops on a daily basis about the injustice and religious bias being shown against their favourites and calling for an end to their persecution. Let’s not forget that Rangers are being asked to accept a yearlong transfer embargo (when half our team have left) which a Scottish Court has ruled illegal, and also, now agree to give up previous titles or our right of appeal for an for a EBT situation that many other clubs (including Celtic) have used and is still not illegal. That is just insane. Read this last section again and just see how utterly ludicrous this situation has become. Illegal sanctions and forfeit your right of appeal to something that isn’t even a crime. I can’t get my head around that, it’s bonkers. Where have the free thinkers and independent voices of Scotland gone? The country is now a shambles and I am glad I have left it behind. One man has stood up for Rangers though, and that man is our Manager, Ally McCoist. I have always liked Ally but the way he has managed this incredibly tough time has been absolutely remarkable. To you Mr. McCoist I thank you for being the glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and being the one thing that has (almost) kept me sane through this horrible episode. As Falstaff said “He who laughs last, laughs longest” I hope that is Ally McCoist. Stand up, stand up for Rangers!
  9. This decision by the SFA is an absolute outrage. It is time that Rangers and Charles Green assembled the best legal team available and challenged this through the real legal system, not some kangaroo court operated by a silly little football association. These sanctions have never been carried out against any other Scottish club in Administration or for not paying their taxes, so this must be a form of descrimination. Also, there must be some technical point that can be taken to the ECHR that this sanction is illegal as it is a restriction of trade against footballers wishing to play with Scotland's most successful football team. I'm not a lawyer but there must be some on here that will know if this route would be worthwhile? Let's remember there are no great legal brains behind the SFA's decision making process, they have made the rules up as they have went along, so this will be easily challenged in a real court of law. Don't forget lawyers managed to get OJ Simpson off a murder charge due to proper procedures not being followed so Rangers against this shower of bigoted despots should be a walk in the park in comparison. Forget UEFA and FIFA, we need real impartial judges who understand what is legal and what is desperate nonsense from clowns who are only interested in self (and their clubs) promotion. I know this will take time but we've got to start sometime. Let the boycott's commence, but stay away from Hampden this weekend, let's not give them the ammunition they want. Remember, with DIGNITY bears, a word that is unknown to that lot in the East end of the city!
  10. Radio Scotland talking about Fraser Forster being man of the match! Aye, right ye are!!!
