trueblueal got a reaction from dougie76 in The pitch
The egde of the pitch and start of the astro have never been so close together. That's the issue, you can't prepare for it coming as there's no overlap. And players keeping a ball in play or dribbling tight down the line will often have a foot off the pitch. Bad idea. A bit embarrassing actually that it was given the ok as it is.

Are you stubbornly sticking to your point here or do you really mean that. Come on man, who are you kidding. Nobody with any sense would design it the way it is right now. Just because it's a Rangers fuck up doesn't mean it isn't a fuck up. A player would rather run on slightly worn grass than one foot on grass one on astro at the same time

trueblueal reacted to Inigo in The pitch
There's reasonable logic behind those things and a reasonable balance between safety and necessity. There's no good reason to gave a surface change inches from the pitch. How many of us if we were making a pitch would do that? Would you?
If it's easy to avoid then even if it's a small risk, you don't do it. Common sense says that.

Normally I think you might be right, but he's Gerrard and the normal rules don't apply. He's a born leader and a world icon. Zidane at Real? Pep at Barcelona? There are many examples of a player steeped in a club going to manage them early on.
We are borrowing Gerrard from Liverpool make no mistake. And sadly that will probably mean half our backroom team too. Our job will be to find the next manager with the correct aura about them to lead us. Gio is my vote for when the day comes which is hopefully a few years away.

trueblueal got a reaction from Redwhiteandblue in Candeias
He's not pish but he's not starting quality either. He is a trier. Much like Jack. We need an upgrade in the wide forward area, centre mid, left back and a striker if Morelos goes. That's the 4 major new players I hope are high quality

If he's gutted he'll be the only one. This was a car crash we could all see coming.

Aye he went mental at a petrol station or something. I think Stevie G will be wary of taking an Osijek player somehow.

You haven't, it was cringey as fuck with the forced deliberate use of local dialect making it sound like a bad episode of River City.
Actually it was like when the national news interviews a Scottish Ned off the street and you wince a bit.

Gail Porter does surgery: Live.
Could easily be a channel 4 documentary

trueblueal got a reaction from Blue Avenger in Jordan rossiter
Jack is a replaceable player. If there's an interest in him from England as rumoured Rossiter has a chance to take that role. He can also play deeper like Davis who is unlikely to manage 40-50 games next season. I'd keep Rossiter and I'd play him I can see a talent there that a functional player like Jack will never reach. Rossiter has only ever needed fitness and if he plays this season out and can be relied on he's a part of the team for me.

I think he would compliment Kamara quite well. Jack's our weak link

trueblueal got a reaction from Blue Avenger in Jordan rossiter
Fair enough, I don't think he's enough of an influence on games for a starting centre mid. He's average at everything so he gets by but in my opinion he is no more than a steady player. Reliable, tries his utmost but limited.

trueblueal got a reaction from magic8ball in Morelos 4 match ban
Morelos was our best player before he got banned. He's still our best player and btw he isn't sold yet, likely though it might be. I'd play him on the right of this narrow system in Candieas place with Defoe central. Rather than wrap him up to sell him if play him to show his ability and I'd try and talk him into one more season

trueblueal got a reaction from BlueThunder in Are we a better team with Defoe rather than Morelos?
We aren't better because it's Defoe over Morelos. We are better because we have narrowed the forward 3. We are now playing a similar system to Liverpool, who you'd think Stevie G would be very familiar with. Should have done so a while ago because our wide men didn't score enough.
-
trueblueal got a reaction from Courtyard Bear in Are we a better team with Defoe rather than Morelos?
The wide men aren't so wide and support the striker better. Think Liverpool.
Morelos could easily play inside right in this narrow 3 in place of Candeias if he stays. That's a goal threat
