  1. Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos is a contender to replace Paolo Maldini at Milan when the legendary stopper quits the game at the end of the season.

The Rossoneri are considering their options for the post-Maldini era and the Spanish centre-back is being heavily linked with the club this morning.

Spanish newspaper Marca today claims that the European and world champions are “obsessed†with the talented defender.

Milan are said to be pondering a swoop after the intervention of former Diavolo boss and Real sporting director Arrigo Sacchi.

The latter is understood to have spoken at length about Ramos to both President Silvio Berlusconi and Vice-President Adriano Galliani.

Sacchi was instrumental in convincing Real to sign Ramos for around £20m after a string of impressive and commanding displays at Sevilla.

The proposed move does have a number of obstacles though seeing as the 21-year-old is still contracted to the Bernabeu outfit who wouldn’t want to sell.

It’s also expected that Real would insist that Kaka be involved in any Ramos sale which Milan wouldn’t take into consideration at this stage.

I would be happy with this, although it seems that Maldini is never going to Retire every year he says he might but never does!

  2. Adriano’s 2007 ended with a dawn car cash in the streets of Rio de Janeiro as the ex-Inter star’s troubles continue.

L’Imperatore was driving his Audi TT at dawn when he lost control, crashed against a barrier and went on to hit another three cars, according to Rete Globo and Globoesporte.

The Brazilian and the other people involved were not injured, but it is another bad news story for the hard-partying striker.

On loan with Sao Paolo until June 2008, Adriano was hoping to revitalise his career and calm down his private life with this spell in his homeland.

Instead he has been pictured at several parties and this car crash at the break of dawn would suggest he was again out on the town.

The Sao Paolo directors noted this week his nightly excursions were tolerated “because the player is on holiday,†but that things will change as soon as the season kicks off.

At least no one was injured.

  3. Hes a midfielder, isn't he?

Lola, your a Milan fan, whats he like?

yip I am Milan fan, but we loaned him out like we did with Donati so cant say I have seen him play much, there was a reason he didnt get played at Milan much like Donati he obv wasnt good enough, and Napoli were in serie B until last season, sooo if he cant get a game for Napoli and Milan dont want him, gers must either be seeing something that both these clubs are missing or they are making a daft buy . I have not decided yet

  4. Napoli midfielder Samuele Dalla Bona could be on his way to Rangers after his agent revealed the SPL giants’ interest.

The Venetian grew up in Atalanta’s famous youth system but was signed by Chelsea in 1998 at the age of 17.

After three years and 55 games at Stamford Bridge, Dalla Bona moved to Milan but was sent out on loan to Bologna, Lecce and Sampdoria before arriving permanently at Napoli.

However, it seems that the 26-year-old will be on the move once more having fallen down the pecking order at the Stadio San Paolo and he could return to Britain.

“The only contact we have had for Dalla Bona is from Scotland,†agent Claudio Pasqualin explained on Radio Kiss Kiss Naples.

“Rangers have made their interest clear and it is clear that Napoli have chosen other players ahead of him, so he won’t feature in the Vesuviani’s plans.â€

  5. Respected agent Ernesto Bronzetti insists that Milan are closing in on a deal for Ronaldinho. “They are like an engaged couple.â€

In recent times, Ronaldinho’s relationship with Barça has soured and it is now believed that he could leave the Nou Camp, with Chelsea ready to battle Milan for his signature.

“Berlusconi has clearly said that he wants Ronaldinho and the Rossoneri are in pole position if he becomes available,†Bronzetti told Sky Sport Italia.

“They are like a couple waiting to get married, but it isn’t certain that the wedding will go ahead.

“It’s clear that ‘Dinho would choose Milan, rather than England, given the affection that Berlusconi has for him and it could happen in January.â€

As one Selecao star is linked with a move to Italy’s fashion capital, another could be headed for the exit door.

Struggling striker Ronaldo has been blighted by injury in recent times and there are growing whispers that he could return to his homeland with Flamengo, but Bronzetti concluded by denying such talk.

“Adriano Galliani has told the truth,†he claimed. “There have been no negotiations or meetings between Milan and Flamengo.â€

The never ending saga may come to an end n January then again pigs might fly

  6. Unsettled Chelsea hitman Andriy Shevchenko is set to discuss a January return to Milan, according to the English Press.

The Ukrainian international was a hero at San Siro between 1999 and 2006 when he found the net 127 times in 208 outings.

Despite President Silvio Berlusconi’s best efforts to keep him, Sheva decided to join Chelsea for £31m but hasn’t looked the same player in the Premier League.

According to The Sun, agent Ernesto Bronzetti will arrive in England within the next week to discuss the possibility of the 31-year-old making a £14m move to Milan.

Relations between Shevchenko and the Diavolo have remained warm and Berlusconi is godfather to Andriy’s eldest son Jordan.

Rumours that Chelsea boss Avram Grant has asked owner Roman Abramovich to sign Bolton’s goal machine Nicolas Anelka are said to have exacerbated Sheva’s unease in London.

It remains to be seen whether a financial settlement can be agreed, but the struggling striker would surely relish the chance to return to the scene of the most prolific period of his career.

It is also unclear whether Shevchenko or Ronaldinho will take priority in the world champions' winter transfer campaign.

Find this very doubtful, Funny how its has came out from the English Press :) they speak only the truth dont they :craphead:

  7. *cries* ok my optimism for milan has now ended, everytime we play now I will expect defeat :(

DIDA WTF was he doing during that second goal, I thought he was back on a reliable form obv not, utter total disappontment, Pirlo's free kick was amazing, inch perfect gorgeous goal, apart from that not much that I found rather attractive about milan, im afraid to say.

You could barely here the Milan fans at all, even when the goal was scored the shot of the milan fans celebrated only showed a small group and I wouldn't be surprised if that was Milan support was much bigger than what was shown.

heres hoping somehthing amazing happens during the break and we can recover some sort of form in the league

cant believe you had any optimism even before today

it was clear to see that team needs a top quality striker. whether pato lives up to the task remains to be seen.

i always tried to be optimistic in the hope that maybe just MAYBE we might put on a top class performance in serie A, but i just got let down :(

hopefully Pato can perform but its a lot of pressure to put on a young guy

  9. We will prob not play our best team and lets face it even our best players at the moment aint doing a great job, last nights game was abismal, what was up with Kaka!! and the fact that it is at San Siro puts a dark cloud over the game, I know we have won at home in the CL but the San Siro is like a dark omen the now for Milan.... UNLESS at the weekend a miracle occurs and we gub Juve 5-0 :D then out luck turns around, would that be nice

  10. Milan striking star Ronaldo insists that he wants to earn a new contract with the Rossoneri after making his long-awaited return yesterday.

El Fenomeno made his first appearance of the season in Cagliari after a frustrating period on the sidelines with a thigh injury.

There was little sign of rustiness from Ronnie as he struck the post and was brought down for a penalty, but he believes he has much more to do if he is to renew his contract, which currently expires in June.

“I’m going to try and impress this year to win the trust of the club,†the Selecao marksman told Sky Sport Italia.

“I want to earn things for myself and at the moment I haven’t deserved an extension.

“If I manage to impress then I don’t see there being problems in negotiations with the club at the end of the season, but I need to get stuck in as I don’t want anything gifted to me.â€

I think Milan will keep him on, but it would help if he got back to a decent form rather quick he was not up to scratch on Sunday, not that i expect the 'great' Ronaldno but a better one than what performed at the weekend

  11. Azzurri hitman Luca Toni has revealed that he would like to return to Serie A, but he won’t be leaving Bayern Munich this summer.

The towering striker left Fiorentina for Bayern Munich in a £7m pre-season transfer and has been prolific in the Bundesliga so far.

While the Bavarian fans have taken to Toni, he has already admitted that he feels nostalgia for his homeland and has reaffirmed his desire to come back.

“I am just a few goals from reaching the milestone of 100 Serie A goals,†Toni told Domenica Sportiva on Rai 2.

“That’s why sooner or later I will return to Italy, but it won’t be next year as it’s still too soon.â€

Toni has found the net nine times in 12 games for Bayern and has 92 Serie A goals to his name.

    :)

    Good to hear

  12. Can see ra selik finally ending their awful away record at the San Siro!

so can i. simply because milan will have qualified by then and will field a reserve side, likr they did last season and lost 2-0 at home to lille in the last game.

yeah I remember that last season did they not sell the tickets to that game for one EUro in order to try and fill the san siro a bit, as they knew no one was going to attend. Im sure it was the Lille game.

  13. KaKA was totally off his game completely, Gila well it is gila what more can you expect

ronnie defo needs to be eased more into the game, he look a bit disjointed sometimes, maybe thats just me, wasnt just the front 3 that were bad, the back line had some major blunders also, but lets hope for a better performance on Wednesday
