  1. 5 - 4 - 1 can work to the guy who said it couldnt. We played really well against valencia at ibrox using this formation! We also got a result at old trafford.
  2. I did't check that for spelling. That must be the laziest post i have ever made. The grammer is gash as well. haha sorry guys
  3. McGregor Foster Bougherra Weir Papac Bartley Whittaker Davis Edu Diouf Jelavic I think this is an excellent move from Walter. We will be able to nulify the celtic full backs and play some attacking football ourselfs if they can adapt to us habing an extra player out on the wing. When we attack foster can go on the overlap as there left back isnt the best at defending. I really hope and expect the boys to come out at 100 miles an hour tonight with alot of changelled agression and belief. Lets back the players and believe we can win.
  4. what's the update with Conway? It seems to have gone cold. If we sign him and sell Webster I will be getting the beers out.
  5. Really hope he comes! Can admin change the title / spelling of my thread? Looks like we will sing him before the deadline. A gret bit of business if you ask me.
  6. Think Matavz moved to Napoli for £7 Million.
  7. Defo. How much a week did Miller Beattie and Velicka command? There has to be a striker comming in. I have a sneeky feeling we will be happier come 12 tonight!
  8. Defo. How much a week did Miller Beattie and Velicka command? There has to be a striker comming in. I have a sneeky feeling we will be happier come 12 tonight!
  9. Yes. I would defo take 1 or 2 from that list. Maybe Adam will move. We will net say 800k. Then after 5pm will will go out and buy one of these guys. I think this will happen.
  10. I think we should put a bid in for him tomorrow. Thoughts? How much would he cost? Any idea?
  11. Agreed. Time for some fans to show some bottle.
  12. Haha some good replies. I do think we need a small striker to partner jelavic. The thing is , we can talk all day about casting the net wider to get a cheap player who turns out to be shit hot but now we need instant success to push for the title. Walter must have something lined up. I hope im wrong but Healy coudl be such a bad signing! Most of us havent seen Healy play in recent years but how many times has Walter and Ally seen him play? I just dont understand it! These guys would be much better in my amatuer opinion.
  13. As above guys. Salmon has just scored his 18th goal and Adam Rooney is on 14. Ive watched these guys play this year and think theres a chance they could make it. Now it seems as if we are trying to sign Healy. Ive not seen him play in a few years but his record is utter gash of recent. Walter knows more than me but I think he may have got this one wrong if we do sign him. Im not saying we have to go for SPL players but these guys can be bought on the cheap and are proven in the SPL. Who would you take?
  14. SPL players outwith Rangers can make it to the top level. When are people going to learn this! Goodwillie and Rooney are the only 2 Strikers I would take at the moment though.
  15. Sorry guys I know Rooney is Irish but you know what I mean. A player who plays in the SPL.
  16. Its on Follow Follow that Clyde 1 are claming we are going to try and sign Adam Rooney of ICT. They may just be putting 2+2 together though as they are rarely correct. I thought I would post it anyway. I think he's a good player. I hate when people say players who play in Scotland are not rangers class. Kenny Miller was once at Hibs and would have probably not been thought of as Rangers class. Scotland has produced some excellent players in the past and it's going to in thr future. Think about Naismith and our recent Scottish signings. I think Rooney is a better player than Miller was when we signed him first time round.
  17. Turkish Press reporting that the fee is 700k or 1.7 Million Turkish ........... . I believe we will sign someone. We have just lost a player who was earning 20k a week , Im being optimistic but i really think we will! Keep positive guys.
  18. I think we need a striker who is small and can finish. He needs to have a bit of skill , alot of pace and works as much as Miller and Novo did. If we sign Commons we will no doubt push Naismith upfront with Jelavic. This sounds ideal but Naismith has been playing so well in his postion. IMO we need a small striker to partner Jelavic. This combination has worked so well in the past. McCoist Hatley and Prso and Novo. This is something I have been thinking. Why dont we take a slight gamble and buy a striker for around 2-3 Million and eat into next years funds? Whats the point in gambling on a guy for 450k because if he doesnt make it we will have Beattie and this other striker for next season with nobody to replace them. Just a thought! Goodwillie being charged must be pissing Walter and Ally off but maybe we will still sign him!
  19. From PAUL HUGHES in Florence Published: Today Add a comment (0) FIORENTINA last night claimed that Rangers are threatening Kenny Miller's dream move to Serie A as they keep moving the goalposts. Viola sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is directing the stunning swoop for the 31-year-old Ibrox idol. Miller had his bags packed to fly out to Italy on Tuesday but the deal hit a hitch and Corvino told Italian media: "The reason for the delay is that Rangers keep restructuring the price. "We seem now to be moving closer to Valon Behrami at West Ham because Rangers want to raise the offer for Miller." The fee is understood to be around £700,000 plus add-ons but Fiorentina WON'T give Gers the £500,000 sweetener that Birmingham offered should Miller help keep ex-Gers boss Alex McLeish's side in the Premier League. Last night English sources insisted a deal has been struck to make Birmingham the ONLY club Gers can sell Miller to in the January window. The collapse of a move to Italy would leave Miller heartbroken, and he is cold on a return to the Midlands where he has played before for Wolves and Derby. Now here in the beautiful city that could become Miller's next football home the Fiorentina powerbrokers hold his future in their hands. Sources here insist the club's sporting director Corvino and coach Sinisa Mihajlovic are convinced that the Scotland striker CAN cope with the demands of Serie A. The club's wealthy owners, though, are still weighing up their options as a landmark transfer for Scottish football hangs in the balance. Last night the prospect of Miller going to Rangers' preferred bidders Birmingham was still ebbing away. Gers are desperate to see that deal go through because if Birmingham stay up they would get a £500,000 bonus to take the total deal to £1.1m. No one else across Europe will pay that sort of money for a 31-year-old striker with six months left on his contract. Miller now faces the most anxious wait of his career with Serie A strugglers Bari and Cesena also awaiting developments should the Fiorentina deal die. Meanwhile, if his swoop fails big Eck, who was due to meet Miller yesterday, will revive his bid to sign Robbie Keane from Spurs for £7m. Those talks were put on the backburner last week as Birmingham focused on Miller, who would cost a fraction of that. Read more: http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scot...#ixzz1As4lNk4i
  20. I hear that the Herald and various other papers are now reporting that Miller has signed a pre contract with Fiorentina for 40k a week and he will complete his move in the summer. They have also said that Rangers are trying there best to get him moved on now. Hopefully this is alot of pish but someone who has been pretty acurate in the past told me the same thing at about 2pm.
