  1. it may be walter smith, his contract is up in january. if he gets in then bring in gary mcallister and john collins as coaches. they are inexperienced just now to take the post and they will learn a thing or two from walter. Souness is out of the question, he ruled himself out. walter can easily over see some stuff at rangers to help mc coist out if he takes over. SFA may go for a foreign manager this time around.
  2. well for one, it is written in the articles section in RangersMedia website, another is http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/8...-targets-Davis/
  3. Reportedly Sunderland and Wigan are tracking davis, "Apparently, Steve Bruce is hoping to use £5m of his kitty to persuade the Scottish giants to part with the 34-time capped Northern Ireland international midfielder Davis, as he looks to strenghen his squad before the start of the 2009/10 season." Should he go?
  4. I think in the summer we should get hutton back, he has jumped down the pecking order at tottenham and we need him back, if we lose players at the end of the season should we go in for him?
  5. McCormack at Cardiff, Stevie Thompson has 6 in 5 for Burnley, Lee Miller is doing ok and Kenny Miller is they type of player and has the experience for Scotland they would be wanting v Holland away. Anybody but Iwelumo please. might end up being miller and mc cormack up front to start, fleck to come off the bench to score the winner.... just a thought ha ha
  6. His natural position is a striker, i think if he remains in form and plays well a may get a shot playing up front. except from boyd i can't think of anyone else who is in form at the moment to play in that position
  7. Edu was brilliant for me and hopefully he will get more of a chance to play with mendes. Ferguson wasn't up to par when he came on. Fleck again, such a good young guy and a star in the making.
  8. The thing is Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham have been linked. Man Utd have been watching him for quite some time now. If any of those clubs offer good money to Rangers, no doubt they will accept it and let him go. To be honest i hate to see that happen.
  9. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Ne...1521631,00.html on the website today walter smith mentione fleck close to have his first start for the team. to be honest i didnt realize this young guy was a striker i always thought he was a midfielder. At only 17 years old and if he plays his natural position as a striker could he be like the next wayne rooney of scotland?
  10. PETER LOVENKRANDS would be set to take a substantial pay cut to pave the way for a return to Rangers. As exclusively revealed in SportTimes, Lovenkrands was made a free agent by Schalke 04 and wasted no time in making his regret on leaving Rangers in 2006 public. The Dane has now returned to his Glasgow home with his wife and child and has been offered training facilities at Murray Park by Rangers manager Walter Smith. advertisement After having made around £5million spanning his arrival at Ibrox from AB Copenhagen in 1999 and his near £40,000-per-week stint at Schalke, sources close to the flying Dane have made it known he would accept a pay deal in line with fringe players to secure a dream return to Ibrox. That would see the 28-year-old snub interest from English Premiership outfits Hull City, Blackburn Rovers, Wigan, West Ham and Fulham, and from Spain where Real Betis and Villarreal would be keen to hand Lovenkrands a £20,000-per-week pay packet. Meanwhile, former Ranger Ross McCormack has revealed how he helped smooth the way for Chris Burke's £150,000 departure to Cardiff City. Burke returned to Cardiff today where he will finalise his move to the Bluebirds after agreeing personal terms yesterday on an £8,000-per-week basic deal with only a couple of minor aspects of his medical to be concluded. And McCormack revealed: "The gaffer had a word with me about Chris because he wondered about his attitude since he had been out the picture for a while at Rangers. "I just told him right away that Burkey's attitude had been great. I think Chris can be a real star in this league down here." http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/displa..._to_rangers.php
  11. Rangers are preparing to announce the imminent sale of Kris Boyd to Birmingham City. A spokesman for the CC Championship side denied that the deal had been finalised contrary to mother media reports. But all the signs point to an announcement later today or tomorrow. The Glasgow club have been attempting to increase the £3million offer initially tabled by Birmingham manager Alex McLeish. Boyd, the SPL’s leading goalscorer, trained with the Ibrox side this morning but is expected to travel to the Coca Cola Championship side later today or tomorrow. Rangers’ financial dealings are hampered by the fact that Kilmarnock will receive 20% of the transfer fee. The Ibrox side will also need to complete an instalment of £1million to Burnley for Kyle Lafferty by the end of January. The selling of Boyd will no doubt anger Rangers fans as it becomes apparent the club’s selling agenda is concrete. Rangers manager Walter Smith has made it well known that Rangers will consider serious offers as they attempt to cut their inflated wage bill. Rangers currently trail arch rivals Celtic by five points in the domestic league. Boyd has had a spectacular return to favour following a period of intense scrutiny and criticism. The striker’s future at Rangers was in doubt following season 2007-08 after he failed to secure a first team place and had his fitness and motivation widely questioned. Rangers turned down a summer bid of £2.5million from Cardiff City. Boyd then sensationally quit the national team after being overlooked on the bench for the Norway World Cup qualifier in October. A high profile war of words with Scotland manager George Burley followed. http://news.stv.tv/sport/68605-rangers-hag...ith-birmingham/
  12. Gelsenkirchen, Germany - Schalke 04 have released striker Peter Loevenkrands three days after banishing the Danish international to the reserves. The German Bundesliga club said Wednesday the player's contract until the end of the season had been terminated "by mutual agreement." Club general manager Andreas Mueller said Loevenkrands, 28, was a top-quality striker with a good character "but unfortunately things did not work out with us over the last half year." On Sunday, coach Fred Rutten banished Loevenkrands and midfielder Albert Streit to the reserves after they had both expressed a wish to leave the club. Loevenkrands joined Schalke in summer 2006 on a free transfer from Glasgow Rangers and scored six goals in 44 games for the club. However injuries have prevented him playing this season. http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/24...rt-company.html
  13. walter has already made it clear to murray that mcgregor is untouchable, even mendes, bougherra, davis
