  1. Said at half time, he should get a retrospective red. I didnt however think it could happen so quickly and im sure he will have a right to appeal which will mean it may drag into next season ala Chesney a few years back....

I know they changed the appeal process so that can’t happen, I just don’t know when they will schedule the original hearing….

Didnt know that about the appeals process GCL. Good that they have learned their lesson.

From what i can gather though is that the SFA will reveiw the incident today and then ask Thomson if he saw it and chose not to act on it as he believed it to be a fair challenge, or if he missed it. I would hope and expect it to be the latter in this case. If it is the latter, they will then refer it to a Video reveiw panel which at the very best would be next week but more likely to be after the end of the season.

  2. We need to start closing down teams and stop giving them easy possession. Against celtic yesterday not many players were trying to close them down and its a bad habit we seem to have. Also our midfield will have to start holding the ball much better, and not look as if the quicker the get rid of the ball the better. also we need mendes back to his best and help us get over the line but the Hibs game will tell us all we need to know.

Thats where we really miss Thommo. He never gave anyone a minutes peace and i think the work he put in allowed Mendes the time and space to be more creative IMHO.

Cant wait to Thommo comes back though i do think Edu has stepped up to the oche well since the demise of Fergie.

  3. That we could win the league absolutely by right. By going on a winning run, including a victory over timmy which saw us overtake them, this season would be the first for 9 years, should we win all our remaining games, that we have won the league by proving we truly are the best team in Scotland.

In 2002/2003 we won by GD against a strong timmy who'd got to the Uefa Cup final - as nice as the title felt, it couldn't have been closer.

In 2004/2005 we won thanks to timmy throwing it away at Fir Park - as great as it felt, it wasn't a clear win.

Both of the above wins felt like Celtic losing it, rather than us winning it.

This time, if we win the league by winning all the upcoming games, for the first time since the days of DA, we will have won the league completely by right, and will halt 4IAR.

This league, for me, would be the sweetest one in the last decade.

We won the games and deserved to win both those leagues, especially in 2003 , we had to win 6-1 to win the league, how did that feel like celtic lost it...... <cr>

    Spot on GCL.

Dont buy into this theory at all.

As for helicopter season and saying Timmy threw it away, well you could esaily go back to the middle of April and our defeats to United and Timmy at home and say, we actually gifted them the position they were in on the last day.

We won the leagues and deservedly so....end of.

  4. With McManus being out for the season i honestly don't see anything being done about this. The press won't make a deal about it, so the SFA feel they don't have to deal with all the abuse that would come their way if they did.

Im pretty sure if anything was going to be done about it, it would have to wait until the next review panel which may be days, weeks or months away. Loovens would then have the right to appeal which they would do as a matter of course so even if action is taken im not sure he would miss the end of the season tbh.

He should receive a red though (tu)

  5. I would stop myself from saying it was brilliant but 10 out of 10 for at least doing something and to call it shite when people have went to the bother of organising is out of line.

I have often wondered though why we dont do the big Union Flag in the Govan and the St Andrews cross in the Copland when Timmy roll in. They would hate the sight of it and lets face it......what a sight it is on CL night ?

Are any of our members in TBO who can tell us if there is any reason why we keep the big flag displays to CL nights only ?

    Probably cost

I thought of that, but due to Watty, we didnt have any displays in Europe this season so surely they could have done one for the game yesterday.

I dont know how much they cost but i would be sure their would be willing donaters if it was to happen yesterday.

Would have been some sight and would have shown them how to do it properly..

  6. Now before i start, it has to be remembered that some of these games may change home/away as you are never guaranteed to play equal home/away games against individual team however these are the most likely scenarios. I have included Hibs as the 6th team as HOPEFULLY they will dispose of St mirren tonight. I would much rather Timmy wasnt facing McGhees Motherwell truth be told.

    Rangers

    Hibs (a) = 3 pts

    Timmy (h) = 3 pts

    United (a) = 1 pt

    Aberdeen (h) = 3pt

    Hibs (h) = 3 pt

    Hearts (a) = 1pt

    14 pts total

    Timmy

    Aberdeen (h) = 3 pts

    Us (a) = 0 pt

    Hearts (h) = 3 pts

    United (h) = 3pts

    Hibs (a) = 1pt

    Aberdeen (a) = 3 pts

    13 pts total

Goal difference decides it and its gonna be oh so close.... :craphead:

    What says you all ?

    Thought i would revisit this........

If you swap the Hibs(h) with Hearts(a) for the Gers due to the change of venues then so far im spot on

    Rangers

    Hibs (a) = 3 pts (tu)

    Hearts (h) = 3 pts (tu)

    Timmy (h) = 3pts (tu)

    Hibs (a) = 1pt

    Aberdeen (h) = 3pt

    United (a) = 1 pt

    14 pts total

    Timmy

    Aberdeen (h) = 3 pts (tu)

    Aberdeen (a) = 3 pts (tu)

    Us (a) = 0 pt (tu)

    United (h) = 3pts

    Hibs (a) = 1pt

    Hearts (h) = 3 pts

    13 pts total

I hope though i get the last 3 wrong now.... :anguish:

  7. I know people may get fed up with this and think its a witch hunt but I feel this is as good a time as any to get answers and whilst i may not agree with Cooperonthewing, i have to applaud her for fighting her corner on here. As many have pointed out, this wouldnt happen elsewhere and you would find yourself with a life ban, to return"never" for being "Timothy in disguise"

So COTW, i was having a wee look at your achievements page and the first thing that strikes me is that the last thing you appear to have achieved is in 2005.....according to the page. But anyway a couple of things caught my eye and if you would be so kind to clarify.

"The retention of ownership of Ibrox by Rangers FC." - Does the Trust really believe that they stopped the club from selling Ibrox Stadium to a third party ????

"The regular consultation of our members" Any members i know and any i read on the internet complain this is the very thing the Trust doesnt do. Many never hear anything at all unless its a request for money. Why is this?

"A democratically elected Board, which is genuinely broadly representative of the Rangers support." Is the Board completely elected democratically and going by comments on here and again other people i know, the external view of the RST is that IS NOT genuinely representative of our support.

"The setting up of an RST Members List." Setting up a list on Microsoft Word ? Is this an achievement ?

  9. To the tune of "If yer happy and ye know it"

If ye love the Orange Order

    Fly yer flag

If ye love the Orange Order

    Fly yer flag

If ye love the Orange Order

Cause their part of your tricolour

    Love the Orange Order

    Fly yer flag

A bit shitty but an attempt none the less

Scottish Premier Falkirk 0-1 Rangers 05-04-2009

Scottish Premier St Mirren 1-2 Rangers 08-04-2009

Scottish Premier Rangers 1-0 Celtic 09-05-2009

7 straight wins at end of season

No prizes for anyone guessing the common denominator.

Thanks Fergie for everything. Please step aside and let the new generation shine. (tu)

  11. Why do the tarriers sing that fucking song, "O'Dea Smashed A h**" or something? Sang it at the cup final too and I have no idea why.

It goes back to the incident at Karbon involving McDonald and Brown. Something kicked off and a few boys turned on Brown, allegedly. O Dea smacked one of them and got charged with assualt.

Tail end of last year i think.

  12. Thanks for the PM Cooperonthewing. The details provided confirm that the RST are NOT regulated and authorised by the FSA. The membership number which i will not disclose as you sent it by PM is not an FSA registration number and the FSA register holds no details on the Trust or the Gersave scheme though it does confirm that Direct Sharedeal are authorised and regulated.

I dont mean to sound patronising, but you should take extreme care when talking about the FSA as a member of a Board. You could get, not only yourself, but your fellow RST Board members and indeed Direct Sharedeal in a bit of trouble by giving a false status, irrespective of your intentions. Please dont mistake this for me saying you were lying about your status, but if your not sure, then you shouldnt state it.

Having said all of that, you might come up with something else to prove the RST status, in which case it would be cool.

    Back to you COTW (tu)

  13. No shame on you. I can see what you're trying to do and that is discredit me and, in turn, the Trust. There are some members on here who know the truth and what was being said at the time, in fact some of it was aimed at them. So I was banned for lying was I? What was this lie or lies? The truth is that I posted something slating the website because they identified me when I wished to remain anonymous, then I got banned. I wasn't even a member for very long. I did go in once under someone else's username and the whole thing had been deleted. I may be many things but I am not a liar and I resent this accusation. As for your petty name-calling, it does your cause no favours. You talk of smears and innuendo, just read back your last paragraph.

Are you on the RST Board and what do you have to say about the FSA smoke and mirrors ?

I was interested in your comments. I will be contacting the FSA on Monday demanding a return of all the money we pay them.

Can you tell me your FSA registration number or point me to it on your website :sherlock:

Oh and ARE you on the board ?

I could give it to you but why would you want it? I don't think it's on the website and yes, I am on the Board.

    Well:

    1. If you are regulated and authorised by the FSA then YOU MUST disclose your registration number on your website.

    2. If you are regulated and authorised by the FSA then you have a duty to any potential members to make them aware of your full FSA status, part of which means making the registration number available to check.

    3. I find it strange that you say you pay the FSA fees yet your website refers to Direct Sharedeal Ltd as being authorised and regulated yet here you are on here claiming its the Trust itself. Are Direct Sharedeal a subsidiary of the Trust or a separate organisation altogether ?

Thanks for clarification on being a member of the board. That answers the DPA question. (tu)

  15. It could of been given, but it wasn't.

if it happened on the half way line it would of been a foul, but it wasn't enough of a foul for a penalty. Even though that isn't in the rule book, it does tend to get played that way

A fair assessment Badger. Even Hartson said it would be soft and ref was spot on to not give it.

Anyway, they can have no complaints. They were lucky not to finish with 9 men today (tu)

  17. A pointless exercise that invariably ends with the other team getting possession or a free kick.

Much better to keep the ball and pass it around the team or even better going forward to create more chances.

We did for the last 5-10 minutes and they still ended up with a corner right at the end.

I would have loved Alexander to have 'shot' when that big idiot was stuck in our half.

On the other hand look how well Miller ran down the clock, fending off 2 players, winning a throw, fending them off again, nutmegging Hinkel I think it was then setting up a great chance for...was it Mendes who then bollocksed it up for a corner?

If you do it right, you eat valuable time. Miller did it right.

Spot on Danny. Miller was the only one who knew what to do in that situation and he must have killed a good 3 to 4 minutes winning free kicks, corners and shy's.

The one time, they got it out the corner, it went to Mendes who should have took it back in but instead took a shot, hence a clearance and the last second corner.

Well done Kenny..... Thought he was outstanding today by the way :gerbad:
