  1. A Rangers player on loan St Vincent of Lunny may well increase the ban to 6 months.
  2. First away trip for me, for a European match, was Barcelona in 1972.
  3. AMcK wrote ---As I said the topic deserves a much wider debate and more informed contributions than my own Agree with that sentiment 100% and after listening to his interview I think so does Graham Wallace. Being a Scot he could easily have came in with bluster about being a lifelong fan etc. Rather he seems to want to be accepted based on his CV and his ideas for the future. We can all only hope he succeeds. Lets see how he 'engages' with the fans, just hope his vehicle of choice is not a busted flush with only 1500 members.
  4. Well done D'Art ----- Just watch they dont come after you with a tax audit M8.... Only wish another 99,999 fans had been as tenacious and we may have gotten that bloody petition signed by enough people.....
  5. One phrase in the original stands out fr me and clearly demonstrates the person who penned the article to be either deluded or a fantasist. 'If club legends sat alongside respected fans --------------' Question for the guy who wrote the article. Where were our 'club legends' in our hour of need?? Most with a few notable exceptions were nowhere to be seen. How many of the guys who made millions from the club actually put their hands in their pockets to buy shares? Even the very term 'respected fans' is a nonsense. Who determines who is 'respected' and who is not. Some of the behavior witnessed over the past few months has been less that respectable. We want our Rangers back sounds like the the republican cry about give us back our United Ireland - there in fact has never been such an entity, except under British rule. Just the same as we, the fans have never run the club and it is unlikely we ever will. I go back to the days of John Lawrence, we were a business then, we are a business now and are likely to remain a business if we wish to have a future.
  6. How much of our budget is spent on players salaries versus those of coaching staff and administrators. I'd like to see a break-down of those figures.
  7. CoI thanks for the clarification but it really makes me wonder if the 'losers' will ever back down or if they are prepared to jeopardize the future of the club in pursuit of their own agendas. Worrying times indeed. Lets just hope Graham Wallace, who wants dialog with the fans, has some fresh ideas about whom the club should be meeting.
  8. Forgot how cold that was ----- mind you we were pretty well tanked up before the match
  9. IMHO we had a democratic vote and its time to move on and rally behind the only entity which actually matters The Rangers Football Club.
  10. From September this year; Queen of the South offer season tickets at £246 and £256, The most expensive season ticket in the division is from Dundee's higher category at £290, with their cheapest option of £260 less expensive than that of Livi (£270). Based on that and assuming we are in the Championship next season I reckon between 300 - 350 is acceptable. At an average price of around 325 pounds and assuming we sell 38K, that's over 12.3 M
  11. . Billy Ritchie . Tiger Shaw © Woodburn R. Gough Eric Caldow . McMillan Baxter . Henderson McCoist Bob McPhail W. Johnston Well they all played for Scotland and I went for a 'soft' back-four LOL
  12. Concur 100% with the sentiment but do not see it happening unless mini accepts defeat and walks away, forever.
  13. From my time watching Rangers and in no special order - Bobby Shearer, Tom Forsyth, Jimmy Millar were all hard as nails but none were dirty players. Two players who played against him numerous times related to me that Ray Wilkins was a real hard bastard to play against
  14. Rangers fans will follow-follow everywhere, thats a fact of life though it is unfortunate that the vermin who tried and voted to kill s should benefit from our support. Jan1st hit the nail on the head - if you go, so not purchase any of the wee extras on offer such as programs food, drink etc.... wont make a massive difference financially but the money is better in your pocket than theirs.
  15. A bigger issue than one individual are the RFFF accounts and who is the custodian of the accounts. IIRC there was a substantial sum of money in the account at one time. Does anyone know that sttus of that money today??
  16. Reckon he's at it and that this will be settled behind closed doors.
  17. Dude thanks for sharing. My dad took me to my first game and too many more thereafter. Sadly he passed 35 years ago when I was only in my late teens. He never got a chance to see his grandson or take him to Ibrox but I have carried on the tradition. Used to love going to away games with my dad. Two matches still stick with me 1) the the Aleksei Kosygin match at Rugby Park what an amazing atmosphere and we were packed in like sardines. 2nd favourite away match was versus Aberdeen at the Phiggery when we won 6-1 with Wee Bud scoring hat-trick, that was a fantastic day. But nothing ever beat the many days at Ibrox....... Started with the short car journey, the ubiquitous 'lift over' the turnstile, a pie and bovril where we usually meet my classmate and his dad. We would then stand in our usual spot in the enclosure with my aunt peering down from her season ticket seat in the main stand........ a regular occurrence ever other Saturday the memories of which will live with me forever. cheers....... might have a wee toast tonight to my dad, my mate Billy's dad and your uncle.
  18. One of the more interesting pennies I ever saw was issued in Italy and had Guiseppi Garibaldi on one side a real collectors item.
  19. Let me see if I understand this; D'art, Bill McMurdo and Leggat are all one in the same......... the Father, The Son and the Holy Goat?
  20. Nice one Oleg beat me to it. He has NOT been arrested. (well not yet)............Scotlands finest media appears to love the 'ex-Ranger' tag.
