Why would there not be? Davis will shortly prove to be the gerrard eras shrewdest and best signing. First the taking of the armband from tav going into next season, then onwards and upwards to 55. Of this there is no doubt.

Given another few weeks and another few games, Davis will prove to be a far better asset to the team than arfield. When back to his best Davis will rule our midfield and arfield will struggle to keep a place in a premiership team midfield. Best case scenario is we keep them both to sweep to 55.

Fully agree with this. Also there are loads of folk come out with this, never a captain, and just sat back and never defended the club pish. The guy was forever taking the press conferences and coming out defending the club at a horrendous time, when even the management and board were cowering behind their desks. Was a far better player and captain than tav will ever be. Deserves a decent send off from the fans.

A loan spell to a decent team is required. No doubt the lad has ability and loads of potential so maybe just needs confidence to kick on to the next level. Has a better dead ball delivery than anyone in the first team imo. Really hoping he is still around to be a key player for us as the lads from the youth set ups start coming through as first team starters which wont be so far away.
