    Tavernier, Silva and Wright.

Not that Goldson was any good

    Tav is a fair shout.

Silva and Wright were anonymous, Goldson was a bomb scare and put us under pressure umpteen times so I’m saying he was worse.

It wasn’t even close to being the worst yesterday either

    Just my opinion, friend.

Who do you think was worse?

  3. That first half yesterday was up there with the worst performances I’ve ever seen from a Rangers player. Looked more like a youth player thrown in for his debut than an experienced player on a huge wage.

How many times have we heard that this a reality check after these players fuck up though? it keeps on happening that’s the worry, hopefully it was just a bad day at the office and not something bigger ie certain players shitting the bed yet again when the pressure is on.

Too many but I’m just hoping Clement is the manager that can actually get through to them this time.

Not annoyed? I'm still raging, we need to win this ourselves and we won't if we play/defend like that.

As I said, we were always going to drop points at some point. We’ve done it and still managed to come out of the weekend in a better position than we went into it so no, I’m not annoyed.

The Motherwell result will hopefully be the reality check the players need to make sure we don’t slip up again.

  6. Each to their own. I don’t see it ever changing tbh. If someone’s circumstances mean having to leave 5-10 mins early I can understand but I don’t see the point in going in the first place if you’re going to leave with 20 mins to go.

Referring more to midweek games with this also as there’s long journeys home, work in the morning etc to consider but I don’t really see any reason the vast majority of people can’t stay until the end of a weekend game.

That goal last night was massive at a time when we weren't playing particularly well.

It's not easy to score that many free kicks from a distance. Must be nearing Beckham territory.

    He's playing well.

I’m sure his effort on Wednesday means he’s now scored 20 free kicks in his career which is impressive.

    Beckham retired on 65 though.

  8. Ronaldo will see out his career in Saudi because he’s unlikely to get a decent club in Europe. The younger players will have went over there with no intention of seeing out these deals, they’ll go for a while and collect their huge wages and then look for a way back to Europe.

Todd's starting to lose a bit of good will with me, he doesn't look interested anymore imo. Wouldn't be that sad to take in a fee and see him leave tbh.

    Who’s going to buy him?

If there was interest from down south then he wouldn’t be here in the first place.

He didn't really struggle to deal with Kyogo yesterday. Kyogo had one shot on target and scored from 22 yards. Yes I think he could have closed him down quicker but that goal for me is more fantastic CF play than bad defending (which Balogun contributed to too).

Goldson cost us 3m. Ccv cost them 7. That's what better quality costs. We've both signed others for more than Goldson who are far worse.

Seeing Goldson as the problem and him needing replaced when we're skint and others contribute less is baffling to me.

Maybe if we'd 30m to spend I'd be looking at his position too, but we don't and that's why I feel we've bigger issues than our best CH.

    Dessers cost more than Kyogo…

And why I'd have no issues with him being improved on. Though I'd say for our level he is good, arguably only CCV in Scotland is better or are there others?

But if you have 10 good players and 10 shite ones and limited finances would you get rid of the better or worst ones first?

I do see your point but when these games could be the difference between winning a title or not and our best CH is the wrong side of 30 and consistently shown that he struggles to deal with their striker then he would be high on my list of players that need replacing.

Mentality is the biggest difference between the two teams. Don't think there's that big of a gap in ability with the majority of the squad.

They’re ruthless and we aren’t. They always seem to have a player that only needs a half chance to find the net in these games or sometimes even create a chance out of nothing. On the other hand we seem to need 3/4/5 chances before we stick one away and it costs us every time.

Balogun as culpable for Kyogo goal as Goldson.

For me Goldson remains our best CH. Come summer the order I'd be moving CHs out the door would be Balogun, Davies, King, Souttar, Goldson.

I'd have no issues moving him on and bringing in better, but not if we keep those nowhere near as good as him.

This is the biggest problem of all though when our best CH isn’t very good himself.
