The fact that’s what our squad looks like after a supposed rebuild literally a few months ago is frightening.

Agree with this to an extent. I don’t trust us to bring in a top coach though and I think we’ll see very little return on Lammers and Dessers to invest back into the team. I think we’ll be fortunate if what we bring in for both covers what we spent on Lammers never mind Dessers. -
Is there actually any proof we could have had Potter or Farioli or are people just clutching at straws because they were about at the time? Also nothing to say they would have been a success here either. We could have had Postecoglou over Pedro though…

Aside from hounding other fans for going I think you’ve been bang on tbf

This annoys me even more given the fact he’s supposedly got a brilliant reputation as a coach rather than a manager. He’s probably the one we should be expecting to develop youth and give them a chance but he’s not interested. -
Should happen but it won’t. If anyone thought the lower attendance on Wednesday night was anything to do with Beale then they’re kidding themselves as well. There was empty seats because people can’t be arsed with a Wednesday night cup tie against Livingston. It was pretty much a full house today and Hibs will be the same even if he’s still here.

I hoped this would happen when Gio took over but imo he didn’t get anything close to the financial backing he deserved to build his own team. He also seemingly had Ross Wilson in control of transfers. Since Gerrards first couple of seasons when we did actually see a considerable rebuild, Beale is the first manager that’s been allowed to spend more than we’ve brought in and he’s somehow managed to make the squad weaker with his rebuild. Next manager that comes in will probably have to raise his own transfer budget by flogging players again and be allowed to spend a fraction of it while the club takes the rest to cover the loss we’ve had here. Much the same as they done over the last 2 windows to claw back what Gerrard was allowed to spend only that rebuild eventually brought us 2 trophies. This one is bringing us fuckall. -

It’s an absolute myth that Colak wasn’t good enough for us btw the guy had practically a goal every 2 games for us and that was after Beale came in and restricted him to a bit part player because he supposedly didn’t fit his style of play. Colak - 18 goals in 39 appearances. Compare that to Morelos in his last 3 seasons for us: 22/23 - 12 goals in 45 appearances 21/22 - 18 goals in 42 appearances 20/21 - 17 goals in 44 appearances. -

Dyche isn’t coming. Stop suggesting him.

The guys a fraud. You only have to look back at the interview he gave after turning down Wolves to stay at QPR. Goes on about loyalty and integrity and how he can’t be the first one to leave after convincing players to join them etc etc. Just over a month later he left them to come here. -

Well according to an earlier post, Beale only followed Gerrard to Villa once he realised he wasn’t getting his job so that says it all really. -

The more you look at this the more fucking shifty it gets. This wasn’t an ex-coach returning to watch a game for sentimental reasons. He came up with one of his backroom team while Gio was fighting for his job and made sure everyone knew he was here. -

Pressurised environments come with the territory of playing for a big club. If the players can’t handle that then it’s a them problem. -

Maybe we should try it the next time we’re getting scudded at home and see if it works though? I’m sure we won’t have long to wait. -

Can’t blame the support here. Half the players in this team don’t deserve the support they get. The manager certainly doesn’t. -

Knocked back the Wolves job because he knew he was getting Gio’s job imo. -
An overrated loser that held us over a barrel for a new deal once he realised there was no decent interest in him. Fucking despise him.

I actually don’t think the players are weak for kicking a fuss up about someone being sacked tbf. It just seems like a nothing story though and something to attack Beale with when there’s plenty of reasons to attack him as it is. -

Can’t help but wonder if Dessers would be taking his chances if Jim was still preparing the kits though. Fine margins. -

I’m all for the players sticking up for a popular staff member if they’ve been sacked unfairly. Don’t really care how important said staff members role is/was. Absolutely not having it as an excuse for our season being a shambles though. Clutching at straws in the extreme. -

He won’t manage again after this. Back to a coaching role for him. -
