  1. Good God no. Lot of football to be played and as we all know things can change very quickly in the football world. We are now the hunted instead of the hunter, being top brings with it a different sort of pressure than when you are playing catch up, however with Clement in charge I am sure he will keep the squad focused on the one game at a time approach that has been working so well and will hopefully keep us in our hard earned position. It will be interesting to see how the other mhob react, will being knocked off top finally galvanize them, or will they totally crumble under the increasing pressure from the hordes whose mood is growing increasingly uglier with every passing game? Going to be a pretty tense couple of months ahead.
  2. The sheer fucking hubris, arrogance of that comment rips my knitting more than I really like to admit to. He was so confident that he was strolling back into this footballing backwater to impose his managerial genius upon us that his side would sweep all before it as it had done in his previous tenure at The Piggery. TBF at first, under Beales reign it looked as though his arrogantly confident predictions would stand the test of time, however as we are all now witnessing, he has come up against a real manager in the Rangers job and a team, a support, a community that is grimly determined to return his rancid Club back to their rightful position of at best, second best. Fuck you Brentan and yer Gucci belt.
  3. Would not worry too much at such a prospect. Apart from the fact that Brentan is sitting on a multi million pound contract, I cannot see the Leaping Leprechaun wanting back into the business, especially not with what is rapidly becoming a career ending job with poisoned Club with a diseased support. Lego Muncher may end up at The Piggery as manager some day, a match made in Hell so to speak, but Them would have to be scraping the bottom of the barrel by then.
  4. I'd happily contribute to his wages. The epitome of a car crash waiting to happen. Meantime....
  5. Are they really going to spunk double figure millions to sack Brentan from his contract? Doubt it with every penny a prisoner now that they are running out of ways to prolong the court case in the hope of their victims dying off. Not just sacking Brentan, but then the expense of bringing in someone daft enough to take the job at an organisation that is morally, and hopefully, very soon, financially bankrupt. If we win the League this year, by no means a given despite the current form of both teams, then their financial plans will be in ruins if they miss out on, and we pick up the CL monies that I believe, correct me if I am wrong, are going to be even more enhanced next season. Dave King may have been just a couple of seasons out in his prediction that the house of cards would come tumbling down in the event of us denying Them the CL money they so obviously now take for granted.
  6. Stealth has anyone got a spare ticket post. Good luck in your efforts, the coach park is almost always your best bet, but the problem with McDiarmid, unless things have changed since I was last there, there are no hostelries within a reasonable distance where you can get to should you miss out.
  7. Absolutely, if we blow this today then we simply do not deserve to be top. That being said, I am certain that the players will take a grip right from the off today and should we create even half the chances we did against County then it could be comfortable, just as long as we do not fire just about every attempt on goal straight at the keeper as we did the other night.
  8. Full allocation as in 800 or 8000?
  9. Don't care about kick off time, just as long as Ibrox is a Filth free zone. No allocation for the Scum.
  10. Sir Walter. And yes wild. Phil is doing a great job so far but a long, long way away from being mentioned in the same breath as Sir Walter of Smith.
  11. Dearie me. The away end will be rocking even more than usual after a long afternoons refreshment session.
  12. I for one, but not the only one for certain, am utterly astonished at the turnaround. After the Sheepie debacle at the Stadium I had the season totally written off, yet here we are, first trophy in the bag, Title hunting and in serious contention in Europe. Unreal, and all this with basically the same squad of players we would have all happily punted for free to any other Club that would take them after the above mentioned farce against Aberdeen. Hopefully PC is relishing the challenge and we will see what he can do with a couple of transfer windows under his belt.
  13. The one game where Clement has not beaten Them, they were hanging on at the end against 10 men. I am not going to make any confident predictions about giving Them a doing at Ibrox (says through gritted teeth) because they are still a very powerful team when they get their act together, however on our turf, I do fancy our chances. However a lot of football is to be played before then that we need top take care of first, keep the momentum going and crank up the pressure on Brentan, see how he handles it.
  14. Unfortunately the likes of McCoist, Hately and in his youthful pomp Derek Johnstone, do not come along all that often. Our recruitment team will have to play a blinder to find us a 20+ goal a season striker for next season without breaking the bank.
  15. We have momentum, growing confidence and self belief and what appears to be a happy squad enjoying their work, with a support fully behind their team. Compare and contrast with across the City and I know which camp i would rather be in at the moment.
  16. Needs a watertight 10 year contract to fend off interest if he keeps on doing what he is doing, especially in European competition.
  17. All hilarity aside, it is a serious issue and could cost us dear. Our conversion rate to goal scoring chances created is awful, we simply do not score from corners or basically any other set pieces apart from the two or three Tav free kicks per season when he finally manages to get the ball over the wall. I do not know what the answer is to our pathetic conversion rate, hopefully Clement does and is actively managing a solution to our striking profligacy.
  18. Putting up a fight perhaps? Despite our total dominance the County players where throwing themselves at everything, celebrating blocked shots as though they had scored a goal, the young keeper of course played the game of his life tonight. Our chance to goal ratio is of course utterly dire, no more so than tonight, but some credit has to be given to the County players who as I said were throwing themselves in front of everything we threw at them right up to the final whistle.
  19. County were never going to be the whipping boys tonight, I did suggest in an earlier post that all the talk of us hitting a barrel load tonight might encourage them to put up a fight.
  20. I take it this will be another Club Deck night for however many hardy souls come down to support County tonight? Hopefully the only thing they get from the evening is a free pie & bovril same as the Livi 34. Just a pity that the Club did not think of this long before now, the amount of lost revenue from the cumulative number of empty seats in that away corner over the years must be considerable.
  21. Disagree, the Stadium will be packed to the rafters tonight with very expectant Bears who will be demanding an all out effort for plenty of goals tonight. As we all know at times it does not take long for the nerves to kick in and the frustration to mount if things are not going as hoped/planned for. I think the squad knows that this is more than your typical run of the mill game against County tonight, hopefully they react positively to the pressure and deliver the win, any win by any margin.
  22. Despite all the claims otherwise coming from Brentan and his players, it is evident that all is not well at The Piggery (when has it ever been mind you?). They are one bad result away from all hell breaking loose and sharknados breaking out in the car park. Just keep the pressure on Gers and they will implode.
  23. Whilst County have been a shambles recently, all the talk about the possibility of us going top with a convincing win might just have hardened the resolve of some of their players. Would not surprise me in the slightest if they put up stubborn resistance tonight. As I said earlier, just get the win and if it is enough to take us top, so much the better. With our excellent goals against record it is only a matter of time before we better the Filth on that score, but with any luck, if we can keep the form going, goal difference may become irrelevant sooner rather than later.
