  1. Well I wasn't there today as I am on holiday and I haven't bought a Rangers top since the 90's (still have plenty with McEwans Lager on them) but if I had been there and wearing a new top and some cunt had challenged me on it I would have stuck my boot so far up his arse that onlookers would have thought that doc martin had started making hats.
  2. Same with me today in Florida. The waiter where we had lunch who was a guy around 60 and originally from Spain asks where we are from. He then asks if we are Rangers supporters. I took it as a compliment. He then says that Ally McCoist was in the restaurant a few years back and I said we grew up in the same town and our mothers were friends for years. He said he believes he was a great player as a winner of the golden boot. Despite my mixed feelings about Ally recently I simply agreed with him and I must admit I felt some pride in his comment.
  3. I've had the misfortune of appearing in defence of Glasgow clients in Dingwall sheriff court on many occasions. Every cunt in the highlands with a contractual dispute uses Dingwall because they think Glasgow firms will concede rather than travel the 240 miles to contest a contractual claim. Fortunately we have a 100% win record on disputed contracts but the town and their team of Ross County make the Aberdeen sheep shaggers seem normal by comparison and I wish these inbred fuckwits ill feelings at all times.
  4. Just home from Universal Orlando and setting the alarm for 7.00am in 6 hours time for the 7.30am kick off .Sleeping in the spare room in the villa specially for the cause. Looking forward to kicking some ass this season and a great start today.
  5. He had no interest in Rangers as a youth in castlemilk and went abroad as a young man with Weirs to SA. I think he had over 300 charges of money laundering, tax evasion and fraud over the next 30 years heard in court. 78 years in prison if he had not paid £40m on a plea bargain. But he is a Rangers man and the messiah to some. Thank fuck some of us grow up to see things as they are.
  6. I think the transfer fees total have been less that £500k. Warburton is working to a low budget and I hope it's enough to challenge for the top of the premiership. Cant blame the board, they have loaned enough already and only a fool would believe that King would come up with 30m after his track record in South Africa of getting rich at other peoples expense over the past 40 years.
  7. Always had a fascination with these wee cars which were made by AC and originally had 150cc engines and could do 45-50mph however the last of them made around 1976 had 600cc engines and were timed at 82mph. The CVT gearbox was similar geared for forward and reverse gears so they could technically go backwards at 82mph too. Street legal until 2003 but there are a few registered as motorcycles still on the road.
  8. King isn't on the board of TRFC but I think he may be talking about his duty to RR because he is going to restore licensee rights to RR to shift the stock seeing as MA doesn't appear to be rising to the bait. Just my opinion.
  9. I notice he has now changed his title since the earlier answers and refers to himself as the chairman of the holding company. I can only assume he read on here that as he is not even on the board of TRFC he cannot claim to be the chairman of the club any more.
  10. What he says is technically correct. As a director of RR his duty is to act in the best interest of the shareholders which are SD and TRFC. He therefore should be arguing with himself and the board of TRFC to get the license back so RR can trade in Rangers related products. I suspect his comment could be to soften a backtracking to allow RR to sell Rangers related product again to get the kits moving.
  11. Rest assured, King and Murray are going to sit in front of a mirror and ask probing questions of the men looking back and they are not going to leave until they get the answers.
  12. Who is behind lionbrand and what have they done with the money? The answer to this will determine whether they are profiteering or not. At least they have removed the Help For Heroes shirts from their site over the past few days.
  13. Back page of my weekly East Kilbride News tonight. I checked it wasn't the annual April fool story. East Kilbride FC are in talks to bring former Rangers star Nacho Novo to K-Park. In what would be a sensational piece of business by the Lowland League side, Kilby boss Martin Lauchlan is aiming to make the diminutive Spaniard the biggest signing in the club's short history. The News understands initial talks have taken place between the 37-year-old striker and club bosses, with more talks planned for tomorrow when it is believed Novo will meet with Lauchlan for the first time. Novo, who spent six years at Ibrox between 2004-10 and won three league titles, has just returned from a spell in America with Carolina Railhawks. Lauchlan has previous for signing a high-profile former Old Firm star. In February both he and assistant Carlo Girasoli struck a deal to bring ex-Celtic ace Bobby Petta to Junior side Rossvale. Tiny Kilby, who played Celtic in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup earlier this year, have a home capacity of around 600 and signing a player of Novo's stature would certainly put bums on seats at K-Park next season. A source close to the club said: "There is definite interest and East Kilbride FC are working hard to bring Nacho to K-Park. "It's a deal that could very well happen. "This would be the biggest signing in Lowland League history if they can pull it off."
  14. My understanding by reading the accounts is that SD procure the shirts from Puma (possibly even manufacturing then as their supplier) and do the import and warehousing before selling to RR with an added margin. RR do not buy any products from Puma direct. This means that Puma are not exposed in any way because there will be a purchase order from RR to SD and then a purchase order from SD to Puma. Puma will get paid anyway. But will SD get paid by RR ? As RR currently hold an exclusive license for all RFC owned IP it would seem that RR are the only business that can legally sell the shirts. Whatever order was placed between RR and SD and Puma for the supply of these shirts they will already be made by now. Have they been paid for though ? Is the reason RR do not have any to sell because payment to SD is being withheld as part of the new deal is negotiated? Seems to me that the most unfair part of the deal is not the split of profit after tax but is the unfair gross margin achieved upstream by SD as the supplier to RR.
  15. How does this reconcile with PM stating that there could be no share issue due to uncertainty surrounding the court cases? I'm sure there will be no ramifications as to ownership of the assets re Sevco Scotland V Sevco 5088 but as its without precedent there is no way King can state this as a certainty so I'm not sure why he is commenting on it at all. As for the civil case, I'm looking forward to learning more about it. It would be great to see the cunts that lined their own pockets be made to pay it back but not sure how they are going to achieve this.
  16. The recent Rangers accounts show dividend received from Rangers Retail of £1,070,000 for 2015. If that's 4p in the pound then Rangers Retail must turn over £26 million.
  17. Exactly. And didn't King boast last year that all season ticket money would be spent on the playing squad ? Implication being that the board would fund the other operating costs. Mind you, I think that was before the season tickets went on sale so he might not have been serious to be fair.
  18. Well seeing as you are still trying to make an issue of this I will answer you. It is common for a Chairman of a holding company to be the chairman of a subsidiary but that director is always on the board of both entities so it is not normal for a chairman of the subsidiary board to not be on the subsidiary board. Directors vote for who among them are to be Chairman usually every year. To be honest, I thought PM and DK were both on the board of TRFC Ltd which is the actual entity which holds all assets of the club including the license and comes under the jurisdiction of SFA. I thought that was why both went through the fit and proper test. Looking at the decision on fit and proper of Paul Murray is see the announcement is : “The Scottish FA can confirm that at a meeting of the Professional Game Board (PGB) on Thursday, April 30, consideration was given to the Fit and Proper status of Mr Paul Murray as a director of Rangers Football Club in respect of Article 10.2 of the Articles of Association. Specifically, Mr Murray was invited to provide information in relation to his involvement as “a director of a club in membership of any National Association within the five-year period preceding such club having undergone an insolvency event”. “The PGB examined Mr Murray’s involvement as a director of Rangers FC in the five years preceding the insolvency event experienced in 2012. Particular focus was given to Mr Murray’s role and function as Director, any financial benefit or otherwise from the insolvency event, steps taken to avoid the insolvency event, co-operation throughout the insolvency event and intentions as a Director to avoid a repetition of the mistakes of the past. “Having considered the documentation provided, and taking into account Mr Murray’s detailed personal submission before it, the PGB is satisfied that Mr Murray is Fit and Proper in terms of Article 10.2.” I thought perhaps Dave King had not been passed fit and proper to hold a club directorship and so could only hold PLC directorship however is not the case as I found the following SFA statement : Following the submission of an amendment to its Official Return by Rangers Football Club, the Board of the Scottish FA has considered the Fit and Proper status of Mr Dave King as a director of the club in respect of Article 10.2 of the Articles of Association. Mr King provided substantial information in relation to the matters set out at Article 10.2 (h) and 10.2 (j) namely: · He has been convicted within the last 10 years of (i) an offence liable to imprisonment of two years or over, (ii) corruption or (iii) fraud and; · He has been “a director of a club in membership of any National Association within the 5-year period preceding such club having undergone an insolvency event”. On the basis of this advice presented to it, and having considered all submissions received from Mr King and the club in respect of this matter, the Scottish FA Board granted an approval, conditional upon further submissions from Mr King in respect of documented agreements with the appropriate authorities in South Africa. The Scottish FA can confirm it has now received this supplementary documentation in full and the Board is satisfied Mr King is Fit and Proper in terms of Article 10.2. So why he is not on the board of the club along with PM remains a mystery.
  19. If King describes himself as the club chairman I would have expected him to be on the board of the entity which encapsulates the club which is TRFC Ltd. RIFC PLC is simply the floatation vehicle set up for the IPO at the end of 2012. I have no idea why he is not on the Club board but I don't find it scary and hope you don't either.
  20. Well the Chairman means chairman of the board of directors. The current board of TRFC Ltd which holds the license and embodies the Club are : John Gilligan, Paul Murray, Stewart Robertson, Graeme Park and Andrew Dickson. I guess one of them must be the Chairman of the club.
  21. Chairman invites your questions? How can he be the chairman when he is not even on the board ?
  22. Is the Megastore not part of Rangers Retail ? I thought King had removed their license so I don't suppose they can sell any Rangers branded stuff any more. Mind you, he would need a court order if they don't comply but I cant see them marketing RR from the club website any more.
  23. He hasn't worked in the city for more than 10 years and that 2 billion was RBS's money. In an interview in a city newspaper last year he said that his savings were eaten up quickly and by 2010 he was considering getting a job back at the city but held out because he had given himself 10 years to get to where he wanted to be in football management. He himself never claims to be minted so money will be important to him at his age and he should be properly remunerated. If his wage increase is built into his contract then what are they negotiating ? Having said that, I agree that this is stirring by the media but it would help if the club didn't publish matters relating to his contract negotiation as it is no ones business but Mr Warburton's.
  24. He worked on the currency trading desks of a few banks, highly paid by normal standards but not millionaire making, especially as HMRC grab nearly half once you get to £150k a year. He has 10-15 years to earn enough for his old age so of course money is important to him and his family for future security. What I don't understand is he signed up to a 3 year deal 1 year ago which would have covered basic salary for each year and bonuses based on certain outcomes. I would imagine spending budgets would have been set too. Unless any of these have changed why the fuck is the club issuing statements about his contract being negotiated this early on? Surely the best time for both parties for this is after the first year back in the premiership.
