  1. That's one the funniest insults I've ever read. I can think of a few people I'm going to use it on.
  2. I made this assumption after looking at the last RR accounts. Sales were £4,835,810 and purchases were £4,320,900. Of that £4,320,900 we have intercompany purchases from SD of £3,842,829 , RFC of £589,519 plus Etail ltd of £50,171 with a remaining stock of £158,989. This only leaves £108,818 for other purchases. I can only assume therefore that either Puma manufacture and sell to SD who then sell to RR or SD manufacture the Puma branded kit under license in the SD factories and then sell to RR. There is therefore no way RR buy direct from Puma.
  3. I was actually thinking that possibly the only thing that makes sense in this unusual situation is that RR have not paid SD to make the kit and the announcement about the removal of the license to sell branded product is a red herring. Due to the confidentiality agreement nothing could be said about this but if RFC now have operational control by 51% shareholding and have retained the funds payable for the new kit in an attempt to force a better deal then it could explain the accounts being months late, statement about loss of license and the fact that no new strips are available. This may be a lot of piss but I cant think of any other logical reason for the recent events and lets face it, why would RFC authorise RR pay SD hundreds of thousands of pounds to make a strip over the past few months and then try to remove their own joint venture's license to sell? Are the strips sitting awaiting payment in SD warehouse in China or are they completely non existent?
  4. Rangers Retail hold an exclusive license to sell items with TRFC owned IP including all crests etc. It is registered at government IP website. There is no expiry date. RFC simply telling RR that they no longer have a license to sell the items with RFC IP is not enough to remove the right. In the event of no expiry date RFC would have to obtain a court order (an interim interdict type action as it were) to stop the use of the IP on the basis that RR continue to sell club related stuff. Until then RR can sell anything Rangers related they like. And no one else can as they are EXCLUSIVE license holders. One added complication if that RFC own 51% of RR and hold pro rata voting rights on operational matters so RFC could decide to stop RR trading. Have they done this ? Is the Ibrox store closed? If not, are RFC going to get a court order to issued on THEMSELVES so they are forced to stop RR trading in RFC related items from the store?
  5. Just to be clear, he mentions on his CV he worked in EK as a civil servant and the article assumes it was centre 1 HMRC. But he clearly states on his CV that he was IT manager at the Overseas Development which is also civil service and also based in EK beside hairmyres hospital. This is the department which gives million of pounds of our tax to 3rd world shitholes and then the staff fly first class to attend banquets held by the kings of these countries paid for by our millions. Total cunt of an organisation but fuck all to do with HMRC.
  6. I thought the old guy was Paul Hollywood off the cooking program.
  7. year ended June 2013, 14 and 15 have been audited and submitted so the answer is yes.
  8. I thought it was Charles Endell Esquire when I heard his patter.
  9. the sadness on the faces of the soap dodgers is the icing on the cake.
  10. Crossmyloof Ice Rink has been away for like 30 years. There's a Morrisons supermarket on the site with a big car park though so its a good suggestion.
  11. I agree 100%. The most important thing was that the buyer would find a way to pay off that £18m overdraft that he was personally exposed to. Nothing else mattered.
  12. He could only sell it to someone who would pay off the £18 million overdraft which he had given a personal guarantee over. How that overdraft was paid was of course none of his business but I believe this was his main concern.
  13. The way I see it, the club will continue to make losses for the foreseeable future unless European money is available. The loss of £7 million last year may become £3 million this year and next in the best case scenario. This means someone is going to have to lend to plug the cash flow gap ongoing and this is not a sustainable model. If Rangers reach the Europa League group stages I calculate approx. £3-£4 million being earned so a decent run should turn a small profit or at least negate the need for more lending. Unless the board are happy to keep pouring money into a black hole they have no option than to set their sights on European football to become viable and self sustaining. If they don't invest in a team that has a chance of group stage European football rather than just being competitive with the Jacobites it will be a long term false economy and will result in them having to raise even more debt over the next few years. If they have the funds available it is a no brainer. You have to speculate to accumulate. Lack of investment is what kills companies and it is a false economy while opportunities like Europa exist.
  14. As I said on the match thread, his speech would make a great final scene to the film that should be made of Rangers return to the premiership. Speech, freeze frame, titles. Film number 2 to follow.
  15. Lee's speech there will make a great ending to the film that should be made of Rangers return to the premiership.
  16. Did I hear Tam right when he said the reason we hadn't scored was because some of the boys weren't used to being winners? WTF?
  17. Fuck, Tam and Bomber will be back with full half time analysis. Cannae wait.
  18. Robert and I have had our differences over the past week or two but I believe he would be a good addition to the board. Yes he has made money from his Rangers association with his pubs but that just proves he is a good businessman which is something the board will need and I'm glad he provides a place for the fans to gather which has a proud association with the club instead of the politically correct yes voting trendy places. You can also tell a lot about a man by his children and Greg always comes across as a genuine respectful young man. I deal with a lot of older successful businessmen around Glasgow and they are all gruff straight talking bastards but underneath they are all decent men who wouldn't do you a bad turn and I suspect Robert is one of them and an obvious good Bear who might ruffle a few feathers if he is on the board of Club 1872 but I'm sure that he would always put the club first.
  19. As you point out, Churchill had one. Thomas Edison and President Roosevelt too. I believe Edison was known as a pretty smart guy in his day. Just as well they didn't know he had a tattoo or he would have been ignored and we wouldn't be using his 1093 patented inventions today. Which means there would be no electric tattoo guns.
  20. Chris's framing of the live scene was fantastic. I was waiting on him replaying the goal in close up but I guess you can't have everything. Well done that man.
  21. They didn't show up last year till a couple weeks after deadline but RR didn't have an overdue status showing because they had been submitted (as you can see on the barcoded stamp on the pdf's of the accounts prior to end day 31/1/15). The big problem is that as soon as accounts are late it adversely affects the companies credit rating. This is what alerted me. Anyway, maybe there is some great post balance sheet event activity that is delaying submission. And as you say, could be at least 23rd Feb before we see things.
  22. No, the accounts only show as overdue if they are not received (usually electronically via Webfiling) at companies house by midnight 9 months after the year end. They sit with an " OVERDUE ! " status at companies house to help people looking to credit check the company or whatever. Nothing to do with when they become visible to the public (that is at the whim of the civil servants to upload them to the enquiry system). The overdue status vanishes immediately the electronic submission hits companies house regardless of when it become visible to the likes of us. These accounts have not reached companies house yet and are now 12 days late.
  23. Well the accounts of RR are now officially flagged as overdue so they have not even reached companies house yet. Very strange for a part owned subsidiary of a PLC to be late. I wonder if there are late negotiations going on to come to a dividend arrangement to blow the 4p in the £1 out the water leading perhaps for both sides burying the hatchet in the interest of profit to get together to start encouraging fans to flock to the shops. Probably not mind you.
