  1. "Thursday" was not a good day for me I honestly thought that by it becoming a New Year things would change for me, well my extended "family" I did not get very good news. Things have returned with a vengeance so if you don't mind I am taking a break from updates (please don't worry if things get really bad as in near the end I will let you all know) promise I will. Please always tell your loved ones that you love them because you never know when the time is going to come that you are not able to, your love and kindest wishes sent have been truly humbling for me in fact I have been lying here in tears reading them all from the bottom of my heart thank you all❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ And I am fighting hard 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧God Bless The famous Glasgow Rangers and the simply wonderful people who support our great club.
  2. "Update" will start this by wishing "Everyone" A Very Happy and Healthy 2019 now for the not so good news I am afraid, these past months I have suffered a few setbacks on my road to recovery the first was I picked up a horrible infection and with my immune system shot to pieces with my treatment it truly did floor me in a bad way. Then I got news that the tumor had (instead of shrinking) grown slightly which to be honest with all my dearest friends hit me like a ton of bricks and left me in a very black place. I go back to see my consultant again on Thursday so we will see what that brings I have not given up hope of returning again this season to our beloved Ibrox so dear friends keep looking at the scoreboards for the message Falkirk bear is back🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
  3. How are you doing?  Keep fighting x

  4. As I mentioned I didn't know the gentleman personally but his sudden passing makes you realise just how precious life truly is. Rest easy fellow Rangers man your suffering is at an end and your loved ones and close friends will take great comfort from the most genuine tributes and heartfelt comments made by so many on these pages. R I P ????????????????????????????????
  5. So sorry to read this tonight, I don't know the gentleman personally but as my own situation has been highlighted on this wonderful forum I really do feel humble now as very slowly I make progress from this truly horrible illness. Thinking very much about you tonight dear Sir.????????????????
  6. Sorry Copeland bear I didn't mean that it was a Rangers song, it's just that on that fateful day when liquidation was announced the DJ (whoever he was) played it before the teams came out and it sticks in my mind so clearly. Thank you so much for your wonderful uplifting words and that goes 101% for everyone else who has taken the time to send me good wishes you all truly have no idea just how much it really does mean to me thank you all???????????????????❤️❤️❤️
  7. Dear "Family" if I may call you all family, excuse the title of the thread but it takes me back to the fateful day (v Kilmarnock just after liquidation was announced) and no doubt like many others I stood with tear filled eyes listening to that song being played thinking my god what has happened to my beloved Glasgow Rangers, well as you all know since then my own circumstances have been affected pretty badly by the horrible C word and I have had a pretty hellish time this past while. My second last visit to see my consultant didn't really go very well with the news that there had been a slight further spread in my bowel of the dreaded "C" well after more treatment and scans I returned (yesterday Friday) to see who I class is truly a very very special (rugby supporting) person and receive the news that the "Spread Has Stopped and The Worst PART has SHRUNK" by quite a bit. As I mentioned previously I hope with all my heart to return to Ibrox soon and there will be a scoreboard announcement saying "Falkirk BEAR is BACK" and I will sit quietly in my seat again yes no doubt with tears in my eyes saying to myself yes things are Alright. To you all my dear Rangers family I thank you all from the bottom of my heart just for caring and taking the time to send messages which you will never ever know just how much they meant to me these past months.??????????????????????
  8. Last consultants appointment didn't go well, once I get my head round a few things I will post update thanks again.??????????
  9. Sitting here in floods of tears thank you for sharing ????????????????
  10. Didn't go well, will update once I get my head round things thanks for kind thoughts it truly does mean so much.
  11. An update if I may for my "Rangers Family" (I truly feel both humble and honoured to call you all family) sorry to say that things have slipped back quite a bit over the last few days and due to sickness and weight loss plus generally feeling pretty rotten I am being admitted back into hospital tomorrow (for observation) their words not mine, without sounding a boring and repitive "old fart" may I thank you all again (again) for your support and thoughts life truly is pretty rubbish at times and no matter what it throws at you there is always much worse off. When I make it back to our beloved Ibrox I intend doing a scoreboard announcement to let "my family" know that this old man has made it back to see his beloved Rangers who he first saw a long 58 years ago.????????????
  12. My dear Rangers family, sorry please forgive me for not updating you all regarding my last visit to see my consultant on July 10th, I didn't get the answers that I had hoped to hear from him as I am not clear yet. Yes things are a whole lot better for me but just a little bit to go yet, I go back to see him next month September sixth so hopefully then the news will be much better, I realise that I have said this before but thank you all from the very bottom of my heart for your messages you have no idea how much these things lift your spirits. I haven't seen any games yet but in Gerrard I honestly feel that the good times for our beloved club will return again soon, thanks again to you all we really are such a very special family.
  13. "Update" Dear Fellow Rangers "Family" members, sorry for the long overdue update on health matters (again sorry I just can't say the C word) I have a meeting with my consultant at the Beatson on July 10th when I hope to be told the overwhelming news that my horrible disease is in remission and that as I stated months ago when I was in such dark and horrible days I will see my beloved Glasgow Rangers lift another major trophy. There have been truly pretty shit days hence the silence (just wanted the pain to go away) again my sincere thanks again to everyone for the good wishes and kind thoughts it meant more than I could ever begin to thank you all.
  14. To everybody who has taken the time to wish me well during this pretty horrible time I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart, I am not having a very good time just now with feeling nauseous most days and unable to keep any form of solids down. I promise you all that I will keep you all updated on my progress (if you don't mind that is) can I say a special thank you to "Zetland" for keeping in touch it truly means so very much, again a heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of you for caring we truly are a very special family, I thank you all??????????????????????♥️♥️♥️♥️?????????
