Surely the delay is just down to compensation. Board trying to strike a deal in full settlement. If Beale digs his heels in though the fall back position is to just to continue to pay his wages. So much a week/month until the contract expires.

This will be Roofe's final season with us. Out of contract next year. A failed gamble at end of the day.

Like everybody else (Beale included) I have no idea what kind of performance we will get today. Hopefully we get through as defeat would be too much for me to take.

The only positive od that we have the lead.

We have not put in a single decent performance this season so to me it is optimism run mad to expect that to change this evening.
Just as well I am glass half full type of chap as i am going for a 2-0 victory with a performance to match.

Cannot see Beale going with a high press and all out attack from the start which in my opinion is what is required on Thursday. He is far too cautious. He would rather invite teams to have a go at us and then hit them on the break when the chance allows. Recipe for disaster against a half decent team.
Right now I would bite your hand off for a draw.

It was a win but I saw nothing to suggest that Beale knows how to fix the underlying problems.
Danilo off to hospital. It will be a while before we see him again.

Hurting the club financially does not sit well with me.
I too want Beale gone but that is not going to happen anytime soon. I reckon that the board are months away from thinking seriously about it. For now blind hope that this shit show can be turned around is all that we have.

There are no signs of what Beale is trying to do. It's like he throws on 11 individuals with no clear team plan. If he has a plan then I cannot see it. Nor can I see any signs of improvement.
Up till now i have always given him my backing but now I have to accept that while he may be a very good coach he is not a manager. The season can still be saved but Beale has to go and his replacement appointed at some time in the next two weeks.

If we go 2 behind then it's the Europa. If we can hang on then they ought to tire for the last 20 minutes.

If the situation was reserved and we had drawn 2-2 away we would have fancied ourselves for the home win. Thing is I suspect that is all PSV are building their hopes on.
Going to be a difficult game but I still expect us to progress to the group stages although I hope it doesn't come down to penalties as after Seville they give me the fear.
No defensive blunders and we should be fine.

Sunday not only gives us an opportunity to pull ahead. But it's an opportunity to send them into a full blown meltdown. Clearly they are having issues and we can really crank up the pressure with a win.
My early prediction for this fixture is a 2-0 victory. Falling 2 points behind and failing to score for the 3rd game in a row will seriously fuck with their heads.

Beale has carried out ,much needed, major surgery on the squad. I am content to see gradual game to game improvements in performance. Not there yet but I feel that we are getting there.
Talk of sacking him is ridiculous.

For once I am pleased that we have an international break on the horizon. It's my hope that the new manager (whoever he is) joins us then.
The league requires a miracle but the LC is there to be won as is European football after Xmas.
