He’s AI mate. A fucking robot.

I do think if all these other top players hadn’t gone to Liv, I’m not sure he’d be waltzing away with every other tourney.

Rahm last year was just as good as him first half of the year. Put the tools away after the masters right enough. Imo of course.👍

That guy Simms has been great this season in the cup games I’ve seen.

He was no great shakes at Hearts but is ten times the player that Dessers is and Coventry probably picked him up on a free.

We more than likely go through the other night if he’s playing instead of dessers

Confident the team will bounce back and get us over the line. Then we can rest, regroup and go again on the 30th.

Slight concern for me would be how we deal with Curtis Main's physicality. Obviously he's a limited player, but we've been unsettled a bit by his type in recent weeks. Wouldn't be too surprised to see Balogun come in to add a bit of physicality there.

Long hopeful balls into the channels making central defenders turn while a willing centre forward runs them down, harrasing them into mistakes and bringing the oppposition team up the park at the same time.

who’d have thought such an outdated percentage ploy, from a workmanlike team in a council league, would work in a workmanlike, limited, council league? 🤷🏼‍♂️

  4. The Aussie at spurs has made some great signings Tbf.

Maddison was a no brainer in my eyes, but the keeper, the centre half and left back have been terrific for them.

matter the initial laugh when he arrived at the green an grey, he’s proved he’s a good manager.
Defo blind to the aspect of seeing out games, but attacking wise, he sets out to score and entertain.

I actually wonder if Kane did stay how he would have used him. It’s prob helped him that he never had him, As he started with a clean slate, and not had to have to rely on Kane.

spurs fans appear to love him

haha, typical, Everton score late doors.
jusr as I said, can’t see out games.

Not only are they not buying anyone of note, it’s like a fire sale over there at present.

Turnbull, Mikey Johnston, Tillio, Forrest, Kwon, Ideguchi, Montgomery, Kubayashi all either gone or going.

Abada & Lagerbielke both desperate to leave.

2 fairly uninspiring signings in Kuhn & Idah.

So much for ‘spending big’ (quote Guidi) or ‘bringing in only quality’ (quote Brenda)

Unless they pull something out the hat in the next few hours there’s a Timplosion coming.

We should be pulling out all the shots to get a goal scorer in to really turn the screw.

Add McCarthy who is on mega dough and never even makes the squad.

you’d think he’d be the one they would try and punt.

I think a combination of FFP + an inability to offload the pish they've signed has meant they can't really add to their squad.

They have 31 first team players on the books. This Idah guy they're signing has a 1 in 9 record at Norwich or something gash. He's likely a temporary replacement for their Korean striker who went halfway around the world to sit on the bench

Ffs. That’s some amount of deadwood they have.

I see that mcarthey is still on their books.

spunking some amount of wages on him I’ll bet.

Atletico Madrid have made them an offer for O'Riley - loan with an option to buy apparently.

That'll be another £20-25m in the bank for them. I've said it a few times but when nobody had heard of this cunt, someone posted his name on here and said we should sign him. He signed for them a month later. Presumably just luck but I haven't seen anyone suggest someone's name on here then go on to that level of success for either us or them

I might be wrong, but he was second choice for that position. I’m sure they were close to signing some midfielder who had a change of heart and went to boro or something like that instead I’m sure.

I do think a big part of it is that very top level players are used to playing with other very top level players, so when they suddenly have to manage and coach players that aren't as good, they don't know what to do or have expectations of them that aren't attainable.

Imagine you're Rooney and you go from playing with Ronaldo, Tevez, Scholes, Giggs, Ferdinand, Vidic etc to managing the likes of Oliver Burke. What experience does Rooney have that is even remotely close to that?

It also goes without saying it's an entirely different job. The likes of Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney aren't exactly known for being the most intelligent of people whereas most top managers are generally very smart and knowledgeable guys.

Top level players need to accept spending a good few years as a coach/Assistant Manager and actually learning the skills before taking the step up.

    I agree with you.

i honestly think mid range to workmanlike players will be better managers, as they have had to work harder to get to the level they did.

which means, imo, they think more outside the box so to speak, in how to get results.

just my take on it and how I’ve seen it develop through the years.

Thinks he's better than he actually is, Windass the 2nd.

Rank rotten again yesterday, he has the ability to be a great footballer but he's lazy and his application is appalling.

There is a reason why he is here and not in the epl.

like almost every player in our squad apart from the goalkeeper

Against them in the past decade we have been pathetic.

I mean we have managed to get to a European final, beat the likes of Dortmund, Betis and others yet against them 9 times out of 10 we get turned over.

Folk say its not mentality but it absolutely is.

For our club our record against them is a disgrace and we need several players punted from our starting line up to change this. Next month and the summer is massive

Gerrard’s biggest positive was against this lot.

first ever game, he sat back.

after that,  totally went all in about them.

it was games against the sheep hibs and hearts that we stumbled strangely enough.

Doubt we’ll see Abada playing fit the scum ever again tbh! Can see a loan move away or possibly sold in January.

If he’s any sense he should.

I know it’s his job and all, but how can you play for a mob (their fans anyway)that hates the country you are from and supports the country it’s against?

If he’s any morals about him he should be trying to get out of there.
