Anya is a big loss for us..although no guarantee that Strachan would play him if he was fit.
Please, just anything other than Fletcher up front on his own. The only good thing that would come from defeat is Strachan gone, he's totally lost it since Ireland away.

Speaking out? He was interviewed by the press at an arranged event, which the club will have told him to go to knowing he'd be interviewed by said press, and really didn't say much.
'Speaking out' would be a bit of a dramatisation in this case, don't you think?

This annoyed me quite a bit last season, especially given the level performances..it was the same old 'oh we need to kick on from the next game blah blah blah'.
Not a fan of the players speaking out too much.

If your two centre back don't have the pace then they really need good awareness and an ability to read the game very well to make up for this (a la Davie Weir). I'm not convinced these guys have that. Would love to be proved wrong though.

You do realise that if we add another striker that takes away one of our midfield and totally fucks up our system of play and probably leave us even more exposed at the back.
We lost one game against St Johnstone, We were not at our best on Tuesday, We made individual and collective mistakes.
We could play St Johnstone again tomorrow and take 4 or 5 off them, I have no doubt about that.
It terrific that we are still looking for improvement when we are top of the league with 100% record and are averaging 3.5 goals per game.
Our manager has a system of play that means we play with a lone striker and a midfield 7 who get forward, Lets face it, Tavernier and Wallace don't really defend and spend most of the game in the opponents half. I enjoy that 2-7-1 formation.
The number of times on Tuesday when we were attacking in the second half but had nobody in the box was frustrating. Fair enough 1 up front is the way Warburton likes to play but at times when chasing games like we were it would of been good to have another striker up there.

It's all fine and well saying that against teams like Morton, Alloa etc but on Tuesday we lacked another cutting edge up front. In no way criticising Waghorn just feel a natural finisher would be good alongside him.
