So true, no need to panic either. McCoists mess was never going to be a quick fix. It will take time but we will get there.

won in Germany and Rome and 5 set semi loss at Roland Garros. I think the Belgians are clutching at straws if they think Murray is weak on it this year. Be a shame for him to miss the 02 - he was dreadful last year and would have been looking to set that right and maybe finish as world number 2. The tennis calendar year is too full.
He won the Madrid masters as well..been really impressed with his clay form this year. That is true, the amount of Tennis he has played this year is frightening.
-
Just read that Murray might miss the London ATP if Belgium choose to play on Clay (which I think they will given it's Murrays least comfortable surface). Not too worried if they do choose Clay as I thought Murray had a great year playing on it.

Don't suppose anybody has a rough idea of when tickets for the final will be going on sale?
-
They weren't that great either last season imo just the most consistent of a bad bunch of teams.
100% agreed mate, was never very impressed with them.
-
Hearts have been well & truly found out the past 3 games, really don't expect them to take anything from this game.

It will be rife within football. It is out of your system within 24-48 hours of consumption and I've heard horror stories about all the football clubs knowing when the drug tests are taking place.
EDIT: I'm not sure about any of our players though, they'd never pass the hydration test .
True, suppose if they really wanted to clamp down on it they could test hair instead.
Haha, aye, none of them would get away with it!

My mate and I were talking about this subject over the weekend, why would you even risk taking Coke if you were a professional footballer. Literally millions of people would love to be doing what they do..is it worth the risk just for a wee buzz on a night out?
Be interesting to find out exactly how rife it is throughout the leagues and which top/high profile players like giving Uncle Charlie a call. Rio Ferdinand is one that springs to mind..
-
So did he shag the dead cat while on coke and got caught? A certain low point for him.
-
No real surprises there. Although not much of a Novak fan, his defence and mental strength is jaw dropping. The amount of break points he saved during the match was ridiculous.
-
His fellow pros have awarded him the Stefan Edberg sportsmanship award NINE times They have elected him their president repeatedly. He has stuck up for the lower-ranked players over prize money and the length of the season when rich primadonnas like Nadal and Djokovic were trying to get onto the gulf state exhibition tour earlier in the year to make millions. Roddick said when he lost the 2009 Wimbledon final (and Federer won a record breaking 15th slam) Federer and his team didn't even celebrate in the locker room out of respect for his feelings, and it made it easier to bear for him. It would surprise me a LOT if he was a bully.
Well I think we can agree to disagree on this one, I've seen/heard enough over the years for my estimation of him to go down. Anyways, bring on the final, when the rain stops anyways haha...

Federer has been a tremendously gracious loser recently. He hated it when he first started losing, of course. Who wouldn't?
There is hating losing and then there is putting in snide little remarks about anyone who is challenging him, he has done it for years.
Remeber Murray said a couple of months back that there was a bit of bullying in the locker room when he was starting out as a pro. Would not surprise me in the slightest if Federer was involved in this. There is a reason why many fellow pros don't comment on him as a person..

Djoko for the win. Not really keen on either of them, Novak with his 'injury' tactics and the sore loser and all round prick that is Federer. He will need to serve like he did against Andy at Wimbledon if he is to have any chance.
-
Certainly changed a lot of peoples minds with many calling for him to go last season.
-
Actually stunned the number of fans who seem to have forgotten about what state he left us in and now he's back to being a club legend and a proper Rangers man. He can do no wrong......
-
They very nearly busted my coupon last night. Thank god for Lithuania 91st minute winner!
-
Exactly.
4-5 years from now we will see how good tennis is in this country..
Ie Qualifying for majors and winning a match.
As a nation, we should worship the effort he puts in every week.
True. Once Murray is done how long will we have to wait for another realistic challenger to the big players & slams?! I think a lot of people don't realise how hard the guy has worked to get where he is.
-
Think he's had a very good year playing wise (bar the US Open) but will be gutted not to have taken a slam - which is where I agree that someone like Lendl would have helped.
-
Few early break points for Murray but none converted. Going with serve so far in first set, 4-4..
-
From what I have read the Tottenham fans have high hopes for him. Would be cracking if we got him permanently.
-
Come on Scotland! Vital that we win tonight!
-
You just can't rule Murray out - even when two sets down. He seems to just have a knack of wearing his opponents down. Superb stuff from him to come back.
-
Dennis Bergkamp or Torres before it went all tits up..
-
Unfortunately, he was before my time. Is there any player today or the past 10-20 years who is similar playing wise?

Our central defence is just too slow and they don't seem to have the intelligence to read the game to make up for the lack of pace.
I also think we really need another striker. I was surprised at Miller starting last night, he really should be used as an impact sub only. Waghorn has been doing reasonably well but I think we would benefit ten fold with a proven goal scorer alongside him.
