Sorry if similar has already been posted. It has been a long 7 years since I was at Ibrox and perhaps the reality is fogged by fond memories, but I always remember the stadium as absolutely buzzing on match day. Obviously the last couple of years (this last one in particular) has seen crowds decline, something I hoped would be reversed when the new board was in place. The worry for me is that the match report said that the crowd for Livi was about 35k. I tuned in to super scab-board live online the other week and they were talking about attendances, and keevins was saying that the reality is that people who have stopped going to matches may perhaps have realised that life goes on and their commitment dilutes over time - the view of the "Panel" was such that a percentage of those who have gone may well have gone forever. For me it is a worry. What's the general consensus up there among fans and the wider football community? Is it just because the quality of the football is so shite that people arent flooding back and selling ibrox out? Or have punters generally lost interest in the game up there in general??? Hopefully a return to the SPFL will boost crowds and more so when (and I say when, not if) Rangers are challenging septic for the title a few short years from now. I just hope that a generation isnt lost as dave king alluded to, and importantly the club will need season ticket holders in their masses. From what i see, c****c are no better off, their attendances are in the gutter as was the rest of the SPFL when Rangers kicked off in the third division with a full house. I wish that momentum that the club had back then to retain a steadfast and strong support was still in place (accepting of the fact that old charles who "masterminded" that early momentum has since been a driving force being the corporate vandalism that followed shortly after). Having seen the decline of many a top-flight club in England I really genuinely and desperately hope that Rangers can have Ibrox packed to the fucking gills again soon.
