Nobody will be surprised that I don't agree with the original posts about Jay.
However this appears to me to simply be a personal vendetta by Houston using a couple of choice comments to attack a whole forum where he perhaps didn't feel as loved or wanted as he was used to. A little bit like him saying that he wants Ibrox shut down because the stewards didn't notice/stop a couple of bad men shouting rude words at the referee in a crowd of 45,000 others.
Your dad though appears to want to go a vigilante step further and post names and addresses and destroy families over it? Is he really that sort of a  person or was it maybe a bit of a rash ill thought out  comment? I dont know him. 
Reality check time though. Everyone says shit they regret, nobody died and hopefully it will blow over with no long term harm to anyone here.

Generally we are a bit anything goes on here. We don't strictly moderate things, but that's our thing as a forum. If we go staunch and strict we are no longer RM. It's a free internet - if people don't like the way we do things, go and try VB, FF, GersNet, etc. They are all fine forums each doing things a bit different from each other thus appealling to different types of internet fan.

That said, we generally remove anything we see that I think could get people into trouble and/or we don't think is appropriate. We generate anywhere between 7000 and 30,000 posts in a day and well..... we don't read them all - especially over the festive period.

The nature of a forum is we have to moderate it reactively. Somebody posts something inappropriate, a moderator either sees it, or the content gets reported to us as being inappropriate. If nobody reports it, there is a reasonable chance (particularly on a busy thread), that we will miss it.

This is where I am annoyed, if this content was highlighted to us be it via a PM, via a report, whatever, we could of reacted to it. If we had it reported then never reacted..... yeah we are fair game.

Is it really a surprise that content posted on Hogmany and New Years day gets missed and swallowed up in the thousands of posts since.

The posts are in bad taste. We would probably remove them if we seen them. But they were posted over the New Year period - I maybe only read 20-25% of threads posted on here - and less over the festive period.
However, if it offends people there is a report button to highlight inappropriate content - Nobody reported it.
There are also email address and PM's that can be sent - Nobody sent these.

If content is reported somebody from the mod team will nearly always deal with it if there is a genuine reason to deal with it. As soon as something is reported, every one of the mod team gets a notification the next time they log in, or with the next page load if they are currently logged in.
Seeing this, doing nothing, then posting it on a popular facebook account to shame our own, perhaps even draw police attention, maybe isn't what I would do as a first step, and as an admin.... the first time I ever seen these posts was on the SOS facebook account.

Sorry mate but that's a fucking rip-off. They don't even try and make that look like a good deal 2* hotel and the price based on x2 sharing etc. 

Yeah I know people enjoy the European bus trips but I just don't see why anyone would considering for the same price you can get a cheap flight almost anywhere in Europe and share a nice hotel with yer mate/s .. stroll about the pubs, decent sleep etc.
It had it's place 20-30 years ago before the internet and budget airlines etc. Unless you were loaded your average Bear couldn't do the trips.

That was my gripe to be honest. Everywhere was wanting Rangers fans in .. had their banners and flags in the window welcoming us but the prices were hiked. 
We were a cash cow.
Guys in the Tankstelle really nice but think it was £5 for a bottle of local beer? c'mon.
You pay those prices in nice parts of Milan, London, Amsterdam etc. Hamburg? nah not for me.
I didn't have a bad time, just think other places in Germany were so much better and I've been to Germany about 15 times for games - saying that where Schalke played is a lot worse than Hamburg. 

Can't see those numbers again. Hamburg was around the same time a few years ago wasn't it? it will be too soon after Christmas to get 3K over for a friendly.
Hamburg wasn't the best. Much better places in Germany than that. 
Berlin's meant to be a cracking city (I'm going in April for 4 nights), everyone going will have a blast. Germany is just a shit-hot country in general.

I honestly do not think ANY team will turn up to Ibrox or host us this season thinking they are already beat.
But realistically for any other team anywhere to be promoted to top flight football and standing 3rd at this stage it would be seen as a good start. No matter how passionate we are it doesn't change the fact that this season is a team building one.  
Sometimes the truth hurts 

Its not as if we've came up with a team that had played in the Essssssspl, we've had to rebuild at least twice and as everyone can see the quality is not yet at a level to unduly worry everyone though we can spray the ball about at times and look threatening.
But at least it was three points and the look on they two's faces at the end was worth it.
The thing that's infuriating most fans ( imho ) is that we bring a level of inconsistency and the ability to shoot oneself in the foot that we haven't had at Ibrox for a long time if not ever.
