Given we’ve played 4 more games than them in this block, being 2 points behind isn’t too bad. Personally think we just need to stay within touching distance until the World Cup, and then we’ll have players like hagi and helander returning from injury and we can hopefully make a couple of January signings as well. They clearly can’t maintain their intensity without a week in between games. And today was still only their 2nd game this week. I actually think we may have better depth than them. If they had the amount if injuries that we do I think they’d be fucked.

Will take that. First game of the season is often a bit shakey especially away from home. I’d argue that Livi away is one of the hardest away days in the league.

In terms of playing style I think souttar is the perfect replacement for him. Unfortunately I don’t think he will be any where near as reliable with his injury troubles.

Imo our failure to win the league has been more down to a lack of striker depth than RW. If we had someone to hold the ball up and score goals other than Morelos we would have won the league.

Thought he was our only attacking threat in the first half tbh. I agree with other posters though he might have been more effective coming off the bench rather than starting

Both him and diallo would continue to improve if given chances next season. You can literally see improvement on a game by game basis with the likes of diallo, wright and bassey. This coaching staff are going to make us a fortune with their improvement of young players.

I’m personally attributing it to him improving as a player rather than it being just a good patch of form. Many people said bassey wasn’t good enough at the start of the season. Our current coaching staff are good at improving players imo.

Agree with your point in general, but we do have to think about the benefit of homegrown players given that McGregor will likely retire and we are unsure of arfield’s future.

Wouldn’t be against signing him tbf, we definitely need more wide options and he’s home grown. Not sure what sort of fee hearts would want though.

Probably true. If Taylor and juranovic are out though they are a much weaker side as we saw yesterday.

They will drop points against Ross county imo… we just need to focus on ourselves though. Win one game at a time and see where that takes us.
