Obviously gutted if he does go, but goes with my best wishes. Delivering 55 before the 10 and what he's done in Europe is something I will be forever grateful for. He's restored standards back to our club.
Yeah it's shit that it's in the middle of the season, but at the end of the day if he does have ambitions of managing in the EPL before Klopp leaves in 2024, he won't get a better opportunity than this. Gerrard needs a big fan base imo, and I think villa are the only big club in the prem that don't have some sort of rivalry with Liverpool, and they have the 4th richest owners in the league with a quality core of players.
Just hope the board can make the right appointment, we have a squad more than capable of delivering 56, and we might even benefit from the freshness of a new manager- I think we can all agree things have gone a bit stale.
