Brilliant. Can we borrow their ref and linesmen for all our games? -
It very well could be. They had more fouls than any other team last night (17) and ended up with one card. We had 15 fouls but at a cost of 3 cards. This season they have had 1 card for every 10 fouls while we've had 1 for every 6 ( about league average) . This could hit us in the later stages . I've posted more info on this under Scottish football.

Posting some SPFL stats which are up to date following games played 9th Feb and it makes interesting reading. I've looked at all the teams in the league and calculated the percentage of fouls that result in cards St Johnstone 20.5% Ross County 20.5% Livingston 20.3% Dundee 18.5% Dundee Utd 17.7% Hibs 16.8% Motherwell 16.6% Hearts 16.4% Aberdeen 16.3% St Mirren 16.2% Rangers 15.9% celtic 10.3%

St Johnstone can get something from Sunday if they play like they did when they drew 1-1 with Galatasaray back in August. Most of the games they've lost has been by a single goal.

BBC Scottish Premiership clubs have been asked to vote on when the winter break should be introduced. The three options are to pause as planned after 3 January, start the break after the Boxing Day fixtures or begin the hiatus before Sunday's games. The SPFL board are encouraging clubs not to vote for the third option due to the few dates available to play games. Should option two be chosen, a return to play would take place in the week beginning Monday 17 January. There would be midweek fixtures that week to make up for the postponed rounds of matches. Clubs have been asked to inform the SPFL of their preference by 17:00 GMT on Wednesday and Dundee United have already expressed support for bringing the winter break forward.

This isn't about Covid with them, if it was, then their game tonight against covid St Mirren shouldn't go ahead. It's safer to play us on the 2nd January with virtually no one there than play 3 weeks later with 60K.

If they progress to the next round they get 300,00 euros. The winners of our tie gets 550,000 euros, then it doubles for the next round in both competitions.

Birmingham Live are reading this forum and printing some of the comments. Rangers fans have been reacting on the Rangers Media messageboard. One said: “He’s off. Brendan ditched them and Gerrard looks like ditching us. That’s sadly where our mickey mouse tin pot league leaves us.” Another said: “Trying my best not to get drawn into this, going to wait until there’s concrete news from the club. Hate all this rumour carry on, this journo said this, this source said that. Would be enough to make your head spin.” A third added: “Oh dear oh dear!! Gotta imagine Beale etc will go as part of his team too… Proper hard one on who will be the next manager tbh!!! Genuinely no clue!!” Finally: “Can’t see anything but a massive decline if its true. Season will fall to bits. I’ll be fuming if he does ditch us although not shocked.”
