  1. Agreed. Suspect he’ll get a run in the side now and that’ll do me. In Murty we trust!
  2. I think we have to give Pedro the summer to sort the squad out to suit what he needs to succeed. It's up to him to attract the players he wants. If he can't then he isn't a big enough name to manage Rangers. I simply can't accept that we can't get players good enough to challenge at the very top. This is Rangers ffs.
  3. As the commentator said"if you've got Kenny Miller you've got a chance". Seems to me he's the only player moving at the pace needed to make the system work. We seem devoid of ideas in the final third.
  4. I still believe the approach and style is the right way forward. That said today we made poor decisions and executed passes poorly. Way too slow to play the football warburton wants. When teams sit back you have to move the ball quickly and pull them out of position. We carried little or no threat. It looked like we were playing a pre season friendly with the entire team moving at about 75% full pace. That's the part I can't accept. You're wearing a Rangers shirt and you're playing at 3quarter pace. The team need a serious kick up the arse. Bring back some of the past legends to speak to this bunch of slackers and tell them to shape up or ship out. They all need to wake up ffs. think quickly move quickly. Same week in week out doesn't matter who we''re playing. Maybe we can't afford the players Warburton wants to deliver the style of football. I still believe we'll get there and Warburton will deliver. Everyone raises their game against Rangers. The players must get used to it and perform like every game is their last. If the fans give them crap for today's performance, tough! The players must man up and earn the respect of the fans. Warburton should get Terry Hurlock in for a motivational speech.Get the players to explain that performance to him face to face. That'd straighten a few of them out.I'm going up the effin pub!
  5. I think we'll play better against better teams, so I'll accept the three points and move on. Thought Miller did well. Always looks to play at the right tempo to me and works the defenders. McKay is a proper threat. We've got plenty of options to mix things up when we need to. We still need time to settle into this level. This is a squad designed for the long haul. Maybe it's the beer speaking but I reckon we'll continue to improve. Steady wins now then ramp it up in the second half of the season. Of course we're not all happy but we still took max points chaps!!!!
  6. Barton will be seriously fired up when he walks out at Ibrox today. He'll feed off the atmosphere and I expect him to run the midfield with controlled aggression. That said if we lose a couple of goals (which we won't anyway) expect him to kick a few players up in the air and get sent off. Hopefully Miller will get a run out late on to score his goal. Always thought he played at the right tempo last season even though other players seemed to slow up. He had a good season and deserves to play his part. Waghorn will need to increase the percentage of chances he scores. Rangers is once again the place to be and as its live on sky the game will be seen by millions. Warburton will only have to show potential players a video of the crowd at todays game to get them signed on.If any one of the Rangers players is anything less than good today i'd be very surprised. No excuses, an off day isn't acceptable at this level. I'm expecting a good solid win followed by a few beers to celebrate a good start to the season.
  7. I believe he felt honoured to be given the chance at Rangers and he will not betray the faith the board has placed in him. . As such he'll at least see his contract out. The club and the fans are now pulling together in the same direction. As the song said at the start of the season "when we get promoted we'll go for 55". Well the juggernaut that is Rangers is rolling on with Warburton at the helm. Good times, savour every second
  8. Surely Browns Paddington bear stare at the line up was the funny moment of the day. Every time he shook a hand he saw a a Rangers player staring back at him. To be fair I can see why he was so scared
  9. Stunning statistic. Going to be interesting to see what warburton does in the summer. His options will have greatly improved . Agents will be battering his door down to get their players on board. Let the good times roll. Don't know if the above makes sense but I'm a bit pissed for some reason
  10. Agreed. Mate of mine who's neutral said "how do you stop Rangers when they won't let you have the ball"? Trying to be objective about it but as Rangers will only get better at what is now the Rangers style of play, I'd be mortified as well.
  11. Yep, he walks along the line with his hard Paddington bear stare. That intimidated no one anywhere and was a total lack of class from a player who was clearly shitting himself. Don't think the Rangers players even noticed. Don't think they noticed him in the game either. At least he can claim to have put in a crackin pass to a proper footballer for the first goal.
  12. Kenny Miller always gives 100%. great example to the younger players. Always plays the game at the tempo the style requires. No doubt whatsoever he adds value on and off the pitch. Easy to criticise him I spose but I reckon if he were playing against rangers he'd be seen as a serious threat. i'd like to see him stay at Rangers beyond his playing career. He'll probably be Wallace's second in command in years to come. Rangers are in a good place at last. Let the good times roll
  13. This article is a bit patronising towards Warburton. Maybe Warbs should get someone like Davey Weir on board to make sure he's properly prepared and knows what to expect.........oh wait a minute!!!! Some parts of the media want Warbs to fail. When the time comes he'll be ready, his management team will be ready and so will the players. He won't be surprised by what's ahead of him. The changes he has made are for the long term. Rangers are back for good people. Get used to it
