I am a pessimistic, miserable bastard but last night I truly believed we were winning that trophy. It was just written in the stars. 
The build up to the final gave me goosebumps. The videos created by media outlets, the BT spine tingling 10 minute video, the song by ST PHNX the videos of fans signing and dancing in Seville, I loved all of it.
We fairly and skilfully beat better teams than Frankfurt and they were pretty shite last night. I genuinely can’t believe we have not taken that chance. I am totally gutted that Goldson doesn’t just stick out his foot and clear that cross. A goal out of nothing.
I missed the ball going out of play for Kent’s chance but Kent has to be burying that, once it went to penalties I knew we were fucked. 
The consequences of not winning last night are too fucking painful. I admire those that are already moving on from it. I can’t. Not sure I will ever get over that. We will Never have a better chance of winning a Major European trophy. Football is just going to get harder and harder for the teams from low budget countries and this season we haven’t even managed to win domestically. 
 
The players are going to have to somehow lift themselves for the Scottish Cup final because the thought of finishing this season trophy-less is unbearable 

I'm just deflated.
I think it being within touching distance makes it so much harder. We had the lead and we gave it away very cheaply. We then miss an absolute sitter to win it in Extra Time. 
It just felt like it was our time, I really thought we were destined to win it.
I won't blame any of the players though, I think a few were below par but every single one of them showed the committment and bravery required and penalties is an absolute lottery. I fancied us going into the pens as Shagger is a quality penalty stopper but didn't have much chance, they took 5 top class pens.
Ramsey pen wasn't great but if keeper goes other way it looks cool and composed. Felt for him as well, it may not have worked out as we hoped with Ramsey but I think he gets it at Rangers and could tell he was destroyed by that.
It was winnable, that's what always keeps popping up in my head when I just start thinking I've turned a corner of being numb and it all comes right back.
We have to go and win the Scottish Cup now. 100%.
I'm also a lot more optimistic about our chances in Europe next season. Two qualifying rounds seeded. Had a quick look last night and although it wouldn't be easy, it could be something like Sturm Graz followed by Dynamo Kiev. Two ties we could win.

Ramsey is an elite level player and someone that I'd love to get back permanently if it were possible. I know some aren't convinced but off the ball he creates so much room for other players and that timing late into the box he has will net him a lot of goals if he can stay fit.
That said, with his injury record, it would be a big risk to try and pull it off.
Shame, I'm glad he came and we got to see a big name in a Rangers shirt but like others, I'd be surprised if he makes another appearance.
I think he's the type of player that understands how big the club is and could be a big help for the current team as well as the future.

I think Ramsey is even more fragile than Jack and that's telling.
We can't afford it, paying that kind of money for a half season, at best.

I love the guy and the player, but maybe we need to act smarter with our limited funds.

I’m not a huge Goldson fan but that’s because I like big centre backs who will dominate in the air and he’s never going to be that guy. Losing concentration and disorganisation at the back is incredibly frustrating (although I appreciate that’s not all on him). Saying that - his range of passing is incredible and that’s not something that we’ll be able to replace. Think he’ll probably be even better in a less physical league

I'd be fine if he signs a new deal but I won't be gutted if he leaves for more money. Deserves all the praise for some massive moments but he still drives me insane when he's under any sort of pressure. He panics but not in the I better clear it way, it just seems to make him lose the ability to do anything at speed. Almost got caught a couple of times today and has done plenty of times in the season. 
My only fear is if he goes, we absolutely have to have a contingency. We need to sign some quality because he won't be easy to replace. I certainly don't think Bassey can be centre back long term, again, I love him but he gives up 2 dangerous chances a game it seems 😂
Tldr - I hope we can come to agreement with Goldson but wouldn't be prepared to make him one of the highest paid players at the club.

Maybe it was just me, but the highlights made it look like Ra Sellic were controlling the game and were unlucky to lose. Shady editing going on at Chez SportScene methinks.

I've said for so long, he's not as good as McGregor for saving chances but he will come for balls and the difference he makes at the back as an extra body to pass to is insane. Helps us start attacks and against them, beat the press. I'm happy with Greggs for the end of the season but McLaughlin should play the last Old Firm.
