Not a great game, but I'll take three points any time over the second placed team. Now that we've played everyone once, here are more stats I'm tracking by myself: 27 points after 9 games. Last year we didn't hit 28 points until November 8 (against Falkirk). 26 goal difference. Last year, we didn't get this number until March 28, 2015 against Cowdenbeath. Not a key stat, this one. 31 goals scored. We didn't score our 31st league goal until that same November game against Falkirk 5 goals against. Here we are losing our fifth league goal on October 3rd. Last year, it happened in the Aug 30th game against Queen of the South. Against the teams in the first quarter of the season we've done best against Raith, with 5 unanswered goals, and got the least amount of joy against Hibs (1-0). Fun reading!

I nearly went to the Ventura game last summer, since I haven't been to a live Rangers game in over 20 years, but I couldn't make it. Kind of bittersweet: in retrospect it would have been good to see the team, but I wouldn't have enjoyed the game. If we get an MLS expansion team here in St Paul, it would be great to see them over here five minutes from mah hoose!

I couldn't imagine not supporting Rangers through thick and thin. I would think good supporters of any team would never switch allegiances for anything. For all I've seen since, frankly, 2011, the institution of Rangers FC has never been any different to me than it's been for the last 35 years. Doesn't make any difference to me what shite has been on the pitch, in the locker room, in the manager's chair, or in the boardroom. People come and go, good AND bad, but the institution I support is everlasting. "Turncoat" is a good word for any "fan" who switches sides. I'd say the same about those that cut their contracts in 2012 as well.

I agree. I haven't felt like this in years. Probably in the last 10, at least. Even when we had that run to the You Fuck Up final in 2008, I was continually frustrated by Walter's lone striker tactics. This build-from-the-back passing style surpasses anything I've seen us play for a long, long time. I'm so fucking obsessed with the team right now, I want to boil their rabbit.

Have to say, watching WGS's Scotland team huffing up and down Hampden and playing route 1 to a shite Steven Fletcher makes me wonder if I'm just spoiled from watching our glorious build from the back play this season. Scotland, aside from the only real chance we had, looked creatively bereft and one-dimensional. Anyone else feeling the same way?
