  1. With living in Sunderland I've seen Defoe a lot...and under advocate at SAFC he was even slotting in at left back occasionally. Defoe definitely plays for the team. We seen it last week at Motherwell. Only problem is time isn't on his side but he gives it his all. And you can tell hes happy scoring and setting up goals here. Playing is with a smile on his face.
  2. I'll be the first to admit I was dreading his ban....but the team have been brilliant. Good headache Gerrard has when he returns.
  3. Have we been Hearts bogey team this season?...I've never known such a good season against jambos..we always encounter a hard game there..its always a tough venue to get points at so well played again lads.
  4. Might take it up to 55k with them screens out guessing.
  5. The old lady is fantastic considering last upgrades were in the mid nineties. I think having broomloan/Copeland sides all glass (like st James park)or clear plastic would enhance the ground. Then if we start turning on the style on the pitch we have the ability to expand....agree with everyone about removing corner TVs and get capacity up to about 53000 in due course.
  6. Is there any chance at all that Defoe and morelos when he returns can play together?...surely theres got to be a game in which we can give them a full 90mins to trial... But either way we cant argue about last 2 results and performances have been bang on. Stevie has a lovely headache to contend with!!!!
  7. Sublime chip over the keeper which wasnt off side..I seen defoe at Sunderland numerous times. He's still quality. Bournemouth were barmy not giving him game time. Just hope they don't recall him.
  8. So then that was one if our better performances of the season lastnight and the best type of reaction possible from sunday. Would you stick with that team going forward albeit kent will probs missing next 2. Thoughts?
  9. Naturally when we got Defoe and Davis. I thought these 2 lads would add strength..but it's all gone to fuck. The team was settled up u till end of 2018..we just didn't realise.
  10. That horse has shit regarding yesterday game. It's been and gone and we are now finally making celtic work hard to beat us..although we beat ourselves in my opinion. Am torn on morelos but he has missed half the fucking season so am hoping lafferty and Defoe step up because it's there chance.
  11. He must have been told today that brown will be targeting you after last old firm when you kicked him up the bollocks. I thought by now Gerrard cud of sat him down and said look son we are losing you for lots of games...just calm it down a bit. How many games has he missed?...its getting scandalous.
  12. Surely we are due a win there.fingers crossed
  13. Long over due a win there. That gameplan against them last time was exceptional.
  14. We had a good first half season finishing 2018 joint top. But since January we've changed the team too often in important games and it hasn't worked. We can't get round the tactics of st Johnstone kilmarnock Hibernian etc. Lots of potential but having no plan to break these mid table teams down when they park the bus has cost us.
  15. Moshni..quite simply meant well, didn't have the skills or ability but tried hard.his time here will still be remembered for going swarznegger on Motherwell lol
  16. Yeah I agree mate and know where you're coming from, I just think something needs to be done across the board so it's a deterrent & preventative, as things are getting out of hand. We need to protect the players.
  17. I think practically putting perspex fencing around pitch would have stopped that rsole on Friday confronting Tavernier, and grealish getting a clip today. But realistically do players and fans want that?...more probable is a points dedection for clubs might act as a deterrent.
  18. Sometimes in past seasons the odd draw wouldn't be a bad thing but this campaign we've usually been ahead in them games and then lost late goals..and celtic has then won there game the day after. So them draws have been painfully costly.
  19. We by rights now should be starting to challenge for honours and that's a belief based on 3 successive seasons back in the top flight. The signs are promising from this squad. We've got a great structure in place the youths are really talented it's all headed in the right place. But we as fans rightly so are impatient for success.
  20. Loads of positives, we are definately heading in the right direction...6 defeats all season says that. The old firm win was an important marker laid down on our journey back to the top. Still a lot to play for and a tough run of games ahead but much more confident than this time last season.
  21. We have been playing some canny stuff last 6 weeks scoring a few on the way ,but them draws have been so costly due to celtic not slippin up until today typically!!. Tuesday will be tough if we start fast like against dundee Hamilton etc then we are a handful for any team. We just seem to struggle to get round teams that set up negatively.
  22. St Johnstone was the buffers for me season wise. It's only because celtic are not slipping up. 1 defeat since 2019 sounds good form but these couple of draws have felt like a losses. We need to focus on Tuesday and I feel Aberdeen celtic are not a problem to play against. It's the mid table dross we can't figure out how to get past that boils my piss. But we still have a lot to play for.
  23. The celtic result kind of made us think we could just then rock up and beat killie with ease. It's just such a shame but we cannot see games out with grit and winning ugly.
  24. Didn't realise his wages..definately someone out of our pay scale.
