  1. Before my time as a supporter. An exceptional talent on the park for us, no question, but I've heard stories about him marrying a tarrier and afterwards showing upto Rangers functions and complaining/threatening to leave because of flute bands in attendance. Fuck him.
  2. I agree. There's no way more Rangers fans could vote option 1 or 2 over 3. Mental.
  3. Gonna get fired right intae the chickboys later mate?
  4. Yeah those 2 I was going to include in my opening post - even though I wasn't a massive fan of either you can't say they didn't bring value for what 400 and 500k?
  5. The taigs honestly don't realise how good a job this vile bastard has done for them. They can't see past their hate for us.
  6. I'll cheer any goal against the peado's Doesn't mean that I all of a sudden love Aberdeen or Dundee United or Hibs or any of the vile bastards that's scored.
  7. How good was it to hear Warburton say the players are having an inquest inside the dressing room because their standards dipped and even in the light of a 3-0 win. Makes me proud to be a Rangers fan again after the last 4 years. This is the high standard we should have set and maintained all through McCoist's shameful legacy. It's what we deserve.
  8. Cheers for this. Never made the game. All 3 were fantastic finishes.
  9. I know there's loads of threads about them already but I'm wondering that for a combined fee of 400k for both - when was the last time (in modern day era when players go for millions) did we get this sort of value? I'm excluding freebies like Prso and Boumsong - the value they were to us went without saying. I'm meaning players we spent cash on. To put things into a bit of perspective, didn't we pay 800k for Adamczuk, for example, 15 years ago?
  10. Number 3 for me. Astonished at the amount of fans on here who's voted 1 or 2.
  11. We have. Dave Wylie's testimonial either 1997 or 1997. First team XI too.
  12. Just browsing and seen this thread. I'm a saddo who keep's my ticket stubs and has a Word document saved with all the grounds watching Rangers and I update it every now and again - copy and paste job from there. I don't know the names of the grounds so will just mention the team instead. Obviously the Scottish ones and some of the European ones more than 1 visit. Watching Rangers (including XI friendlies and reserves) : Scotland : Celtic Aberdeen Dundee United Motherwell Kilmarnock Inverness Dundee Ross County Hamilton (new) Partick Thistle Hearts St Johnstone Hibs St Mirren (old) St Mirren (new) Morton Dumbarton (old) Dumbarton (new) Falkirk (old) Falkirk (new) Livingston Raith Rovers Queen Of The South Alloa Ayr Dunfermline Clyde Airdrie (old) Airdrie (new) Brechin Berwick Rangers Queens Park Montrose Elgin Peterhead Stranraer Stirling Albion Cowdenbeath East Stirling (old) Stenhousemuir East Fife Annan Arbroath Forfar Forres Clydebank Beith Juniors Vale Of Leven Yoker Athletic Buckie Thistle Brora Rangers Fraserburgh Cambuslang Rangers Spartans Linlithgow Rose There's probably more Junior grounds but I've forgotten them. Ulster : Linfield Glentoran Ballymena Coleraine England : Tranmere (Shelbourne game) Man City (new) (UEFA Cup Final) Man United Sunderland (old) Everton Newcastle Fulham Ipswich Sheffield Wed Bristol City Derby Corby Town Arsenal (old) Arsenal (new) Portsmouth Barrow In Furness Blackpool Preston (their reserves ground) Wigan (maybe technically shouldn't count but when we played Man United the buses parked there and we got into the stadium) Bradford Europe : Malmo (No fans game) PSV Eindhoven Panathiniakos Stuttgart Bayer Leverkusen Bayern Munich (old) Ajax (Pre-season tournie) Borussia Dortmund Werder Bremen Nurenberg Schalke Hannover Hamburg Emmen Bochum Sporte Lotte Guttersluh Kaiserlauten Steaua Bucharest (Unieria game) Dynamo Moscow CSKA Moscow Amica Wronki Fenerbache Bursaspor Monaco Lyon Strasbourg PSG Auxerre Gothenburg Molde Copenhagen Parma Livorno Fiorentina Stum Graz Maribor Porto Maritimo Sporting Lisbon AZ Alkmaar Feyenoord Artmedia Bratislava Barcelona Valencia Osasuna Villareal Seville Red Star Belgrade Hapoel Tel Aviv Zeta FC Haka Herfolge Famagusta Kaunas Legia Warsaw (Anzi game) There's loads of European grounds I've missed out. Pre-season friendlies against teams who's names I forget - usually German. I wish I was old enough to have went to European away's like Leeds, Bohemians, Juventus, Marseilles in the 80's and 90's - I'll make up for it in my later years lol.
  13. I can't seem to edit my list but did Olympiakos with Chelsea the week we played Panathiniakos in the UEFA Cup - forgot about that one.
  14. Something I was thinking about recently too. I know the big guy Kiernan at the back get's a bit of stick but he's the type of defender that in a way reminds me of Weir and Amoruso (I'm not making a direct comparison) the way when he has no time to think and has to act instinctively with a header or tackle he looks superb. It's also worth noting the standard of opposition. The big tests have still to come. But in the meantime, yup, it's pleasing so far. I feel we still have plenty room for improvement as harsh on them as that may sound.
  15. I've always wanted to go to Maddison Square Garden ... used to love watching the WWF on TV having events there when I was a wean and thinking it looked good - massive, dark arena and cracking sounding atmosphere.
  16. Apart from following Rangers : Following Chelsea (but done some of these with Rangers too) Man United Sunderland Newcastle Liverpool Everton Swansea Aston Villa QPR Tottenham Burnley Wembley Stoke Southampton Leeds Hull Leicester Bolton Blackburn West Ham Middlesbrough West Brom Bayer Leverkusen Sparta Prague PSG Schalke Galatasary (New stadium) Wallsall (in a couple of weeks) Porto (in a couple of weeks) Maccabi Tel Aviv (in a couple of months) Dynamo Kiev (in a couple of months) Random games and stadium visits Derby vs Bristol City Bristol City vs Charlton Bordeaux vs Hearts Braga vs Celtic (I know I know - Braga end obviously) Fenerbache Espanyol Malaga Holland vs Republic Of Ireland (I know I know - 1994 World Cup in USA was there on holiday) Millwall vs Barnsley Man United vs Coventry (Goram's debut) Stadiums I was younger with Dumbarton with my Dad (done all these with Rangers too) Stirling Albion Morton Clydebank St Mirren (old) Hamilton (old) Falkirk (old) There's bound to be loads I've forgot too.
  17. To be honest mate I'd rather none of our players ever turned out for Scotland again. I'd rather they concentrated on the club first and foremost. I'm delighted when I see that team full of tarriers and nobodies from England.
  18. McCoist stood with his arms folded, clueless and then making some of the most cringeworthy excuses you've heard in your life to justify it afterwards.
  19. Thompson has been looking superb for the U20's too. Could be a big loss for them. It wasn't actually a dirty game as crazy as that sounds with our 3 bad injuries. It was physical but good football played by both sides. Rangers were the best team up to our first goal and for about 5 minutes after it - then Dundee United were the better team for the rest of the match until maybe last 10 minutes when we scored our 2 goals to make it 3-3. If it went on another 5-10 minutes I think we would have sneaked it 4-3 but it was another good run out and learning curve for the U20's development. You can see them learning new ideas and growing in confidence each game they play.
  20. 9 or 10-1 against Keith at Pittodrie mid 90's I think.
  21. There's been so many. I know the ones that spring to mind most are the likes of the Lovenkrands winner, Cooper in the Dryburgh Cup Final, Wilkins, Thern, Edu .... but for me Albertz on their own patch in the 1998 Scottish Cup Semi Final - burst from his own half, skinned them and took the roof off the net. Superb.
  22. Strangest in a good way 1-0 vs the taigs at Parkhead late 90's. Boy I used to go to school with that bumped into had a Celtic season ticket and couldn't make the game. I got let down for one so just took his. Was surreal sat in the Main Stand at the Brendanbowl with thousands of them ... wee Rod Wallace pops up a few minutes before the end with the winner, looked across at the Rangers end and it was total bedlam. Made my way out pretending I was pig-sick but just wanted out of there before people clocked me grinning like a Cheshire Cat
  23. I very rarely listen to Clyde Super Scoreboard (for obvious reasons) but it was on one night in work a couple of weeks ago and Hugh Keevins made a great point that for all Celtic's bluster about being miles ahead of us - what would they give to have our two full backs at the moment in Wallace and Tav. They'd kill for those options on their flanks moving out from full-back.
