    Oh aye, and i forgot Gazza. Not just because he played for us but because he was genuinely one of the best ive seen for anybody. It was a pleasure to watch him. Similar to the comparison of messi and maradona, laudrup did it more often and for longer but at his best Gazza was supreme. For me anyway.

    Glen hoddle, Zico, Ardiles, Riquelme, platini, tigana, prosinecki, del piero, Vialli, Asprilla, Romario, scholes, Henry, messi....... And i have been lucky enough to see a fair few of them in the flesh. Could name dozens more. The player who for me was the best i ever saw would have to be Maradona. He had no equal. Messi has done it for far longer but at his best Maradona is out on his own.

    The way Yilmaz played at the weekend i have to say i was surprised barasic started last night. Clement has done very little wrong since he came and its safe to say that after last nights first half picking barasic in a difficult fixture wont be an error he will make again.

    Turning in a class performance like saturday is great to watch but it cant always be like that. That tonight s what you have to do at times to win leagues. That result feels massive, especially how it was achieved coming from behind.

    He hasnt put a foot wrong in that regard, even when he hooked Cantwell against Aris he handled it brilliantly.

    Correct. Ryan Jack has been a great servant to the club when hes been fit and can leave knowing he has contributed to some great times but its done for him now. There is no way Clement is giving a contract to a player who might only be available for 30% of games. A waste of resources unless he was willing to sign a deal on a fraction of his current wage, which he wont do.

    Theyve never had to win one where there has been a proper challenge though. Its a different ball game walking to a title when you pretty much know that a slip up wont be punished and one where the pressure is on every game. Theyve never been tested like that.

    Scraping by against a piss piss poor motherwell team who have conceded more goals than anyone bar county and livingston. Its not that big a confidence booster and looking at the reaction of their own fans it doesnt look like theyve won them over either.

    Fair enjoyed that yesterday. Went with the attitude that any win at all would do, wouldve been happy with a scrappy one nil. To see that level of performance and entertainment was a real treat.

    The thing was he could shoot as well, he scored on his debut with a shot outside the box. Dont know why he didnt do it more often. Diomande does remind me of him, a cross between him and Steven Davis maybe.

I mind a few year back listening to that "606" phone in and this lad phoned in ragin cos he had seen his teams bus stop at a dominoes pizza shop and take out 40 odd pizzas. He was saying how unprofessional it was and robbie savage put him right telling him thats exactly the sort of crap you should eat after a match. The team doctor/ nutritionist would actually advise it. Burgers will be the same.

    Great to win by 3 goals against a typically stubborn levein team on a shitty pitch. Cant really ask for any more. That pitch needs looked into really, its been terrible for years. Calum Davidson as much as admitted that thats the way they like it. Not a great way to promote the game in scotland but i suppose it must work for them.

    Way, way before my time but a great player according to my father. I remember reading about him in the "Rangers historian" which had him as one our greatest midfielders. Talking of which, i havent seen the "historian|" for years. It was a good read back in the day, very informative.

    St johnstone are absolute piss piss poor but dont seem to concede that many goals. Itll probably be a slog with them putting the whole team behind the ball the entire game. Maybe wont be a great watch but i will go for 2 nil Rangers.

    Had forgotten about cyprus. That was abysmal, the lowest point of what was shaping up to be a really shitey season. The pishest of the pish. Hard to believe the change.

    You get games like that, every team has them. Unlucky at times with their keeper having a great game. I was actually far more annoyed at the goal we lost, that was basic stuff due to losing concentration. Ultimately no harm done though.

    A completely needless goal to lose. Inexcusable really. People point to the missed chances last night and fair enough, but if wasnt for that abomination of a goal we would be top of the league this morning. Them switching off allowed county to play the game they wanted for the rest of the half, killing time etc. Well, killing time even more.
