I'm all for this approach IF we have the right people in the right roles. What it does mean is that we need a top class head coach more than we need a Club manager ala Sir Alex.

What he said was good. It's not an exciting job that we want to read about but creating effective policy and structure, planning for the future not just flying by the seat of our pants is exactly what we need. After years of being run poorly to say the least.

He has shown in very small bouts that he might have something. I think he is decent in possession of the ball, but when we do not have it he is a liability. I was surprised to see him start today, but fair play if he turned in a performance.

In the game shown at half time of the Marseille game ... he missed some absolute howlers... That is my overriding memory of the guy.
