Respectfully, Hutton, bollocks. Your comments are devoid of the realities. Some of those being, we are paupers right now in comparison with the scum. They also have a settled team, we've had a total overhaul and it will be a while before the new squad settles. So, realistically, we shouldn't be winning the league this season. I'm prepared to give SG time as are many that I know. We are looking for clear signs of progress this season and, so far so good (Europe and our home league form). You need to dial things down a bit if you truly expect to win the League this year as you are always going to be unhappy and disappointed.

You seem to be forgetting ticket sales.
Fag packet maths, but assuming we’ve near enough sold out each of the 4 qualifiers + the group stage package you’ve got...
    £15 + £18 + £20 + £25 + £105 x 45,000
    £8.2m
And that’s discounting hospitality and all the rest.
We must be the only club in the world that would want / hope / trust our manager to be given cash to spend to strengthen the team.
We’ve build a far stronger squad now, what we need is to invest in real game changing quality middle to front.

Our form at the moment is piss poor but with the way people go on you would think pre admin we were a side who never dropped points or lost a game.

Critism is always a valid thing when it is good and well thought out however some of the comments people on here and social media are making are straight up ludicrous and are in need of a reality check.
We’re 5 months into Gerrad being our manager and he’s brought up good success in europe and he’s made Ibrox a fortress. It is pish we aren’t further up the table or in the league cup final but that’s to be expected of a fairly fresh team with a manager learning the ropes of the game.
Already we have people accusing it of being another Warburton and Pedro era. But the thing is is like or dislike it we need to grind out poor results and standings, else we’ll find ourselves in a terrible situation where we’re bringing a new manager in every season and that does set back progress.
We need to squash the negativity for now and just get behind the team and the manager. People criticised Gerrad for making late changes or the wrong changes, well last might that didn’t appear to be the case. The only thing wrong last night was creativity and our final ball, things that can and will be adressed with another transfer window.
This shit takes time, Look across the city. Rodgers didn’t buy the majority of his players a lot of them are still Deila players but the thing is is he’s had a basis to build on. That’s what we’re doing right now and truthfully it’s looking good, we have fewer passengers and our bench is looking decent.
Keep the head and back the Manager. He needs time and support above all else. I was appalled by the crowd last night, much more effort put into negativity rather than singing and getting behind the squad. Opposition come to Ibrox and will play on that mentality as it actively hurts the team.
TL:DR Stop being moaning cunts, keep the head and back the gaffer. We’re not going to be greats in 5 months alone so stop expecting it to be that way. Should shit still be shit this time next year after two windows then yeah it’s poor and very serious questions need asked.

A lot of people are right to be expressing their disappointment with regards to not getting to the final of the league cup and for a stuttering start to the league but in my opinion there is no one better than Steven Gerrard  to take us to 55. I have seen more improvement in the past 6 months than we have seen in the past 6 years. He has only been in full time management for a short period of time and within that 1 transfer window he has managed to assemble a respectable squad capable in qualifying us into the group stage of Europa league and currently has us challenging for the league (2 points behind celtic after 9 games).
Are we the finished article? Of course not SG has signed up for a 4 year plan which will give him the opportunity to completely refurbish the squad and firmly put his mark on his style of play. For now he is still learning his trade and evidently making some mistakes i.e late subs or Morelos playing in the Ary match, Lee Wallace sub against Motherwell etc but he is only going to grow as a manager overtime and I fully buy in to the fact that over the course of this season we are going to have a lot of highs and certainly some lows but lets not forget where we were last season or the previous 5 years before that. I honestly think that if anyone is doubting his ability as our manager then  you need to remember where we have came from as a blind man can see the progress that we have made under his leadership.
The next transfer window (not likely January) will be the chance to start adding real quality to the squad as we certainly have the best core of players in recent years. For me this season can go either way and we may actually challenge celtic for the league or we might end up fighting it out for second place but with another few transfer windows under his belt I am confident that we are certainly on our way to winning 55. I am fully confident that SG is our best chance at stopping celtic from getting 10 in a row. For the first time since Walter we have a manager who understands what it is to be the Rangers manager. He does not come across as someone that will be content with 2nd place (McInnes Syndrome) and listening to his post match interview last night I think he is understanding that his squad is not good enough to maintain the high level of consistency that he is looking for or what is needed to successfully challenge on multiple fronts.

And some want Wallace to return . Another loser ....... Jesus
And to be fair Barasic has been pretty disappointing in his matches .
What has this guy got to do to convince . He is a very decent full back . Pretty much one of the reasons , we have done well in Europe

I think some of our optimism was based on the fact that early doors septic seemed to be a club in turmoil rather than how good we actually are at present. We have to find ways too stay in touch until we face the taigs. And beating them at ibrox will give us a real chance of getting 55.  But we cannot drop many more points before that to give us a realastic chance. I am hopeful rather than optimistic.

GlasgowRangers1983 got a reaction from rbr in Steven Gerrard - We`re on our way................ to 55
A lot of people are right to be expressing their disappointment with regards to not getting to the final of the league cup and for a stuttering start to the league but in my opinion there is no one better than Steven Gerrard  to take us to 55.

No squad in the past 6 years would of won  4 qualifying rounds and then went on to top the group at the half way stage of the Europa league group stage.
Not to mention the fact that we have just entered record books for most European matches unbeaten (club record)
No team would of only been 2 points behind celtic (even after a defeat to them) after almost a third of the season.
Pretty sure we lost out 26 years home record against Aberdeen with the managed you mentioned. SG is making Ibrox back into a fortress.
He has struggled away from Ibrox and I put that down to him learning how to go away from home and win which he has now done.

Is that enough improvement for you?
