We just can’t, more than just today, Tav and Barasic struggle to stop wide men, Davies is not a hard physical defender and Goldson is posted missing far too often.
we need at least 3 out of our back four replaced.

I think it's a Scottish trait to see a guy that shows intelligence of movement, rather than incessant movement, as lazy.
The lad grafts when he needs to and floats around finding the right spaces to find his moments the rest of the time.
It's not the fucking 90s any more.

We are clearly trying to manage the game now. Can’t help but feel the filth would have finished it off. That to me is the big difference between the two teams at the moment. Hopefully any new signings will help in that regard.

Decent second half performance but lets not kid ourselves on here, we need a rebuild, they weren't at it today also. I don't agree that we need an entire new squad but there are certainly a number of players in our team that are long due to be gone.

Let’s not chuck the baby out with the bath water. Yes he’s in rut and playing in a bad team right now, but Tav will be in our Hall of Fame no doubt about it.

I like the look of the team and glad to see we have a 5-3-2 hopefully changing into a 3-5-2 when attacking. I feel that this is the correct formation but might of had jack instead of Davis.

Not too concerned about 5 at the back, aslong as Tav and Barasic get forward at the right times and we can change shape when needed.

Fucking hell man. We won this weekend and the tarriers are getting beaten. We’ve went from 5 points to 2 points behind and there’s still people being greeting faced bastards. Good few people on here need a seriously long break from the internet man.

The scum wanted to keep Brown, Bitton and Rogic!
Henderson was a kid with little appearances whos contract ran out.
Barkas, Soro and Ajeti are only out on loan
Ntcham the guy valued at £8m, much did they get for him?
Why are you ignoring Barkas, Ajeti, Johnstone, Scales, Urhoghide, Montgomery, Soro, Shaw, McCarthy, Mooy, Bain, Welsh, Ideguchi and Forrest are all still scum players who have no chance of being 'starters' ?
In two years we have got rid of Katic, Simpson, Hastie, Jones, Itten, Firth, Middleton, Kelly, Barjonas, Edmundson, Stewart, Defoe, Bacuna and Barker.

    Squad size:
Rangers: Bloated and inability to clear names who clearly aren’t going to be starters.
celtic: cleared out almost an entire team in 2 years: Brown, Ntcham, Boli, Bitton, Griffiths, Rogic, Julien, Arjeti, Barkas, Soro, Henderson etc
    Age/Athleticism:
Rangers: offered new deals to Arfield, Davis and McGregor. Combined age 110. Mind boggling.
celtic: sold Brown, Ntcham, Rogic, Bitton, Griffiths, Julien. All players who are too old or unable to play an aggressive press.
    Injuries:
Rangers: signed or retained players with bad track records or little game time. Ramsay, Souttar, Helander, Jack, Hagi, Roofe, Davies.
celtic: Signed players with injury free history (minus Mcarthy). And cleared off Rogic, Griffiths, Brown, Bitton, Julien.
    New signings:
Rangers: Focused on signing from saturated markets eg English Championship. Failed to identify and target weak areas: GK, RW, Striker
    celtic:
Identified best players in Japanese league available at discount. As well as Russian fire sale market. Used free agent market well with Hart and Siegrist
    Loan to buy
    Rangers: Did well with Tillman
celtic: Jota and CCV. 1 year for little to no outlay. Then option to buy once player is proven first team quality.
    Manager
Rangers: Identified how to progress in Europe but not domestically
celtic: Developed all out aggressive, high intensity press system which Spl teams can’t deal with. Transfer policy developed around young, fit players. With plenty of attacking options up front

We all obviously look at things through blue tinted glasses, and there's a tendency (based on results) to lurch from viewing recruitment as being good one week to it being a disaster the next. Overall i was reasonably happy with our recruitment in the window but disappointed we didn’t add at least more more following qualification to the Champions League.
Ultimately our recruitment will only be good if we're successful, the obvious measure of that is winning the league. Assuming european finals won't come along often, a domestic cup double might be just enough to save a Rangers manager his job for one season.
It's clear them across the city have recruited very well, with pretty much all their recent additions contributing to the first 11 and adding quality. Not only that, they've gone into markets, (eg Japan and Israel)which are largely untapped - certainly by British clubs. I see they've recently bought a danish international, so are clearly focussing on getting value from less glamorous leagues across Europe and the globe.
When I look at our recruitment in comparison, it comes across as lazy and on the whole we sign names that the average Rangers fan on the street could come up with after abit of research. Assuming we've got a scouting network, a recruitment team, headed by Wilson, my question is what is their strategy ? It seems abit scattergun, with us signing players who play well against us (eg.Colak) or players on our doorstep (eg. Davies) from england (where generally you don't get value for money). Even the signing of Ridvan is baffling, paying £6m+ for a young LB - surely our due diligence would indicate that a young Turkish player might take a while to settle (given differences in cultural, first big move etc), were we prepared for him to settle for a year? Paying £6m odd, we can't really give players that luxury.
In my head, our recruitment team should have a list of the top players in every position from all leagues outside the top 5 leagues, so i would assume players like Abada and Kyogo would be on a list of potential players to scout. However, our players brought in tend to indicate that we don't do research re players from leagues across europe and the world and instead pick up obvious signings our players who are touted by their agents (i could imagine that being the case with Matondo, maybe Tillman as well).
Eitherway, our recruitment has to improve when compared against them.
