Thought this deserved a thread of it's own as I wanted to talk about manager / DOF and longer term plans & strategy.
Lots of talk about possible managers - i think the club should take their time to get the right person rather the wrong manager quickly, we don't want to start next season badly prepared or in a worse situation.
I'd keep Mr Murty as manager until end of season. Pros:
-nothing to lose, unlikely to win league now
-no additional cost
-perhaps he can bring through a few from youth set-up who deserve a chance
-he seems honest
with this in mind i think we should focus on DOF. Look for someone with experience and achievement, charisma, club knowledge and popular with the fans. Craig Brown would be my choice.
Let's see the season out, prepare for next season. new manager in the summer and revitalise the support. Good planning, no rash moves. Take a little pain now but longer term it would pay off
