They will be so weak, that they'll be on par with st mirren and st johnstone
So fuck meeting them in the cups

Our strengths are our protestant work ethic and ability to overcome adversity. Their weakness is kids.

Not been to Ibrox for over a year and you’re moaning about “shelling out” for games. I’d pay to watch the squad play a training game at Ibrox just now if I could.

This thread has caused me fucking grief.  £750 for my ST whilst we are saving to book Disney Land next year with the kids. Trying to explain to the blade and the weans that instead of Disney land we can go to Butlins and daddy can still go and watch Alfie.

Is that not the point in wanting to be a part of the EPL though?  to see if we're really good enough to compete not only with the teams mentioned but against all the teams in the league or are we just happy to be a big fish in a small pond, if this opportunity were to present itself I'd love to see us make the attempt at it, I'd love to watch us compete in a league where most teams at least attempt to win a match as opposed to the shite we're forced to endure in Scotland, honestly if it wasn't The Rangers playing I wouldn't bother my arse turning on the telly but I'm certain I would be a lot more happy to be entertained by a more open game more often than not.
As for the size of support other teams may or may not have, who cares about the others, the merchandise money generated  by our fans globally would be greater than the majority down there, that along with the money that the EPL generates would help us compete.

Would be ok for a year or two with the buzz of the away trips but would soon wear off.
I think a British cup would be a better idea.

Also Letizi and Charbonnier were our first picks for a short time...
Did Goram not get transfer listed too? Can't actually recall if he was dropped right enough

anyone saying they would not jump at a chance to join the premier league is talking shite.
every other week we highlight how this rancid country does nothing but stick the boot in at us. we are hated and despised.
i think it comes down to 2 decisions. your happy with what you got and accept Rangers wont progress further than their current level. or we go down south , and have a real mountain to climb to return to the top , but the benefits would be much more.

A Cup win this season just about seals it for McGregor for me when it comes to better servant to the club, as well as achievements put on the table - Goram had a few great, and i mean fucking great season but McGregor has just put down a stronger and more iconic CV in a Rangers shirt.
Goram is just a bit unfortunate that he played in a side that was really, for the majority of his time with us,  fucking pish in Europe - what we have achieved in Europe when Ferguson and McGregor were here will always give them more of an edge to me when it comes to conversations comparing them with the likes of Goram and Gazza.
While they were clearly excellent players, those who played in the 7/8/9 IAR era played in a side with an advantage most of those which McGregor has played in has never had yet sides McGregor has played in, have arguably achieved more.
Players legacies tend to grow the older they get the more time passes, in 10 years time McGregor is going to have an outrageous reputation.

    If Uefa had balls they’d;
give the positions those that resigned to executives from Ajax, Porto, Munich, Villarreal etc, fuck the “super” teams. They don’t deserve that kind of power again.

Then make the champions league an actual champions league again and watch scum like Spurs and Utd struggle in CL qualifying.

The EPL down South should seriously consider handing back the power these rats have to the majority of the clubs instead of the self proclaimed big 6.

This only came about because these “super” clubs are all in massive amounts of debt which means they’ll have to downsize in the next few years, making the champions league riches harder to get too. Look at how much of an arse spurs and Arsenal are making of it just now.
Milan, bar this season have struggled like fuck in Serie A and Madrid/Barca are in that much debt the days of the galacticos and massive signings are gone and they know it.

tav i feel sorry for. scoring lots of goals. being part of a solid defence. title winning captain still unbeaten. high quality performances in europe for the past 2 years. against the likes of porto who recently were in the champions league quarters.
he could go to a mid table team in the premier league and play half as good and be more likely to get a call up.

I used to love CL night. Would watch as many games as I could. But I couldn’t tell you the last time I watched one. Same teams playing each other all the time and it’s all too predictable.
Bring back the proper CL where only league winners get through.

Gary Neville was incredible. His rant was passionate and brilliant. He called for heads to roll including his own club.
