  1. It'll come out automatically - buying online just costs you an extra £3 for online booking fees. I bought mine online as I had the money in my account and something else is due to come off on Monday. If you've not got the money they apparently try it again later that day, then the next etc until tickets go on general sale. (Ticket office told me this.)
  2. Doing quite well for himself at Sheffield United - think he was captain of Coventry before that - but wasn't playing yesterday due to a groin injury. Seems to have matured quite a bit.
  3. I think some are already getting carried away. Rather than placing expectations on him, just let him develop (and accept he'll have poor performances too).
  4. Gordon Dalziel was a tad cross with Miller for clapping the Rangers support too. Not totally convinced he wasn't actually annoyed at being refused another pint at Bar 72, but still.
  5. Certain tarriers touched up 20,000 - 50,000 weans at a certain boys club too.
  6. It's not just this linesman - how many officials are actually competent? Morelos get sent off against Aberdeen, even though the referee didn't see the incident; the linesman who told him it was a straight red later told the SFA his view was obstructed. Later that game Stevie May blatantly assaulting Ryan Jack is missed. Today, a linesman who is yards behind play makes a guess that Morelos is offside - he's clearly not. And that's just from our games. Neil Lennon and Steve Clarke have been correct to question the standard of officiating, just like Gerrard was. It's absolutely dire, and has an effect on results. From Dundee's point of view today, why was Clancy so keen to flash the red for Miller so late in the game? He let Dundee players off with worse when there was still time for them to get back into the game, so where's the consistency? (I'm not at all sympathetic towards Miller there, just criticising Clancy.)
  7. I got season ticket wallets for myself, dad and sister by making a donation to the Rangers Former Players Benevolent Fund last season. Has some of the Rangers Hall of Fame members on the back of it.
  8. Will the highlights be up on RTV at some point?
  9. I don't think Boyd actually wants Morelos to fail, so much as he's hyper critical of Rangers strikers due to expectations (unless it was Kenny Miller). It's a bit rich as he stole a wage during his second stint, but that's that. Unlike Michael Stewart etc, when we start winning trophies again he'll speak more positively of the team.
  10. He quite clearly didn't given the ovations he was getting as recently as six months ago.
  11. Wouldn't have considered Miller a Rangers legend even if he'd left in a different fashion. He showed the good and the bad in his third spell; stole a wage for most of the first season under Ally, two good seasons and then a final one spent trying to undermine (admittedly hopeless) managers as he wanted the job himself. As much as he may have been right about Murty, was it fuck about being unhappy about standards slipping or however Keith Jackson wants to spin it - it was about himself. As for deserving some sort of heroes welcome - why? He was paid well during his last stint - very well considering two of them were in the second tier, and he barely bothered his arse for the first.
  12. Exactly. Politicians have made "fenian" into a sectarian insult - the only folk who should be offended over bring called that are unionists, as it's (modern) meaning is rooted in Irish republicanism. There were Protestant republicans, just as there were Irish Catholic unionists. These bigoted politicians only encourage further ignorance about history. The same type of folk harp on about William Wallace, and don't have a fucking clue about the wars of independence and who actually won Scotland independence. They just don't have a clue what they're on about, but know how to tap into bigotry and misconceptions.
  13. I think you're bang on the money with what Dornan will put forward, to be honest!
  14. That's rather strange, as sectarianism is purely religious bigotry. Interesting that in Scotland it can extend to football clubs.
  15. You just know some taig is going to moan about Broxi's name.
  16. Surely the club would be willing to waive the fee for that? I'd contact the SLO and the club directly to explain.
  17. Combine media work with getting a far more lucrative contract than teams in league one would be willing to offer though, but aye. Probably doesn't give a fuck if he actually plays often or not.
  18. Exactly - if he was he'd have mentioned Katić in at centre back too.
  19. Add to that, Bent isn't trying to talk his way into a Rangers move for a few grand per week as a backup. If he was happy to mentor younger players and wasn't just after a pay day, there are clubs closer to home who would take him. He's after regular football for tens of thousands per week, and that's why he's linking himself to us.
  20. If it was based on ability, Klos was better than Niemi. Niemi's best spells were with Hearts or with mid table English sides; Klos was an important part of title winning teams in Germany and Scotland, as well as a Champions League winner. But the idea is to pick players based on their Rangers careers. The tweet that inspired the thread gave the example of Piqué at Man Utd; he was a youngster there, and not the Piqué of Spain and Barcelona. Following the 'rules' of the topic, Niemi was never more than a back up for us, and Charbonnier had half a season (plus he was only signed because Dortmund wouldn't sell Klos, leading to the court case). I'm not having a go at you for liking either player, by the by. Charbonnier being number two was down to how good Klos was, and I think Niemi was a bit unfortunate in terms of when he signed for us.
  21. It's a stupid rule, but I don't think the ticket office staff themselves are to blame. Was talking to one of the lassies who works in there and they seem to hate it, as it makes match days hectic and doesn't leave them much time to sort things if there's been any errors made.
  22. Football Manager, I'm guessing.
  23. Hardie wasn't going to develop by getting the odd sub appearance, whereas at Livingston he'd be playing every week for a team in which he's already settled into. (Unfortunately his injury means that hasn't been the case yet.) If anything, it shows how unimpressed they were with Herrera that he wasn't retained giving the lack of established strikers.
  24. Experience doesn't stop players from becoming past it. He's 34 and has had two decent seasons, in terms of goals, in the last six. He was a very good player, but he was also playing regularly from a high level in his teens, and his best days have come and gone. Absolutely no way should we be signing him.
  25. If it wasn't solely for players we've seen in our time as a supporter I'd have Steven and Wilkins in; former was winding down when I first started really following football. Cannigia was one of my favourites during his time with us. Totally overlooked him. I'd probably actually place him in the team instead of Jelavić now you've reminded me.
