I was exactly the same and would say his challange was even more than that. Established managers have came in and failed despite inheriting squads capable of winning the league. Gerrard inherited an abysmal squad and had to rebuild it. FFS the taigs were probably the furthest ahead of us they have ever been, we were literally at the level of the sheep/spoon burners. 
He was a massive gamble for us, but I couldn't be happier that it was one the club took. Can't wait for him to bring 55 home.

I had severe reservations about Gerrard, an untested manager coming into the club at a period when success is a must but he is a different class, really pleased he’s a success with us and I hope he stays for a long time. you can see he’s instilled a belief in the players that we’re a cut above the rest and I honestly believe he can bring about the glory days for us again, domestic and in Europe.  All of this on such a small budget compared to the past as well.

Undoubtedly. He was incredible tonight and puts in those performances on a regular basis. When he does eventually leave, I could see him smashing the leagues transfer record. Still has a few years left on his contract and who knows, he might sign an extension (fucking hope he does) . 
Hard to believe we got him for £1m.

Was skeptical when he came in because of how big the job is even for experienced managers.  Then he had to rebuild the squad as well. He has done a remarkable job, credit to him and whoever got him in. 
Done a fantastic job and you'd assume he will only get better. Hoping he will be here for many, many years.

I'd put Ufa in there, Russian teams aren't an easy draw. Cant forget Rapid Vienna at Ibrox either. 

Undefeated against Villarreal, good results against Osijek, Maribor and tonight.
Main disappointments are the Spartak results and away to Proves, albeit in the last one we were ahead from the 1st leg.

Few diddy teams in there but also plenty of good teams too. Incredible feat given he did it with fuck all seeding and had to rebuild the squad. 

Thought their RB was fantastic in the 1st half then disappeared in the second.  Credit has to go to Jones for that.

There’s really no argument here, can’t understand why this is a five pager. Fans shouldn’t be on the pitch, regardless of the situation. It’s as simple I take it the same guys excusing it also thought it was fine for the Hibs fans to be on the pitch at a Hampden? I’m not advocating dishing out bans, but something has to be done to address it. It’s every other week now, and there’s going to be consequences for the club if it doesn’t stop. Possibly just fines, but potentially banning of away fans, maybe partial closures of Ibrox for home games? The SFA don’t need an excuse to come after us, but if we’re going to be more competitive on the park this season, you can guarantee they’ll be desperate to hammer us for anything they can.

The overwhelming majority of our support were incredible on Sunday. A few muppets decided to wreck a disabled shelter and invade the pitch, overshadowing how good our support was that day. The minority made our club look bad on Sunday, and the club needs to make an example of them to show that behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Personally I don't like our clubs reputation being tarnished by the few that can't control themselves. Clearly you don't mind our clubs reputation being tarnished, which says a lot about you tbh.
