  1. The two players need to be of great quality, the funding so far has been appalling and if Windass and Foderingham go on top of that we have spent very little Shame the board didn't want to push the boat out and put the building blocks in place to stop 10IAR instantly, god help them in surviving if we have a poor season
  2. It's called being realistic, we are untested and just because the team as a whole is winning doesn't mean that every single player will be good enough going forward. It's equally as embarrassing to break our backs to defend absolute wasters who have disgraced the jersey or fall into the same trap of getting over excited by mediocrity. I've yet to see anyone be overly harsh, just a lot of fans who aren't gullible bastards
  3. He's playing out of position so it doesn't really surprise me, I'm just saying he's impressive 1v1 but painful to watch going forward and Tav is the opposite of that
  4. Clearing a shot off the line has absolutely nothing to do with his ability to defend 1v1 or set pieces, the blind spot some people have for Tav is ridiculous regardless of his positives, there's absolutely nothing wrong with pointing out the fact that he isn't a very good defender
  5. Felt we could have created a lot more but was very impressed with our shape with the ball on the deck, from set pieces again pretty shocking and needs to be a major focus going forward. Nice to have a team that doesn't lose the ball needlessly and then have to sprint back 40 yards because nobodies in position every few minutes, long may that continue
  6. Early days yet but his previous experience and tonight's showing leaves me confident he will be the player I felt he would be
  7. I haven't once thought to myself that someone was going to skip past Flanagan, Tav 1v1 is painful to watch, less said about his communication at set pieces the better
  8. Absolutely no clue due to how obscure our market of player is now but Morelos shows you can go and spend a small amount on someone far better than a BPL2 loan and Arfield shows you can bring in frees to instantly improve the squad, so hopefully that level of signing instead of Ejaria, Kent types who have barely featured.
  9. The board planned to spend a significant fee on Cooper though, that needs to be re-invested elsewhere on quality, they're having us on if they don't, considering the loans and frees we have brought in we aren't asking much at all and never do, take Goldson away and we have spent little, even less if Windass or Morelos were to go. 3 more would do but I'd be looking at spending the Cooper money on a CB and CM and doing everything we can to get Solanke or Defoe. King promised a lot more than he has delivered so it's only right we take him for his word regardless, if this season goes wrong it will absolutely ruin the clubs finances, it's up to him to show that he doesn't want that to happen and as a result set us back a decade.
  10. King also basically shat it and has said that we will be watching MacLennan very carefully throughout the season, sounds like it was just a stunt to appease the fans.
  11. Disappointed but expected, first saw this on Follow Follow but clicked straight off after I saw that the most popular post was that the board have back Gerrard, delusional stuff. We have again opted for the cheap option and I fully expect it to show this season.
  12. Amazing what happens if you play a Striker who is built like a fridge up front instead of out wide
  13. Nowhere near good enough and never will be, mind boggling Hamilton managed to con nearly 1M from us
  14. We were never anywhere near the title, summed up the overexcitement and wishful thinking we do best Expecting a team that was unbeaten the year before to magically lose a superior goal difference and several games in a row while we go on a stomper of a run
  15. 4 windows in a row that's been the talk, we'll see how much they invest, it's nothing to do with Gerrard. It won't happen as things stand and we will be in for a shock at the end of the season.
  16. Does that automatically mean the board will suddenly invest and show ambition? We have been told we are 'nearly there' and have now ran with the 'top scorers in Scotland' bullshit line, which is embarrassing to use here never mind when you are Dave King. Key players for next season are pretty poor options, not every signing will be a good one, the depth is shocking, it's the correct call to expect the board to invest further and consider this only the middle of what needs done in this window. History shows that we over-rate signings and current players, under-sign, under-invest and naively sit in denial until we are ripped apart and the club is left financially fucked with a squad that needs rebuilded, this will be worse than ever before if anything goes wrong this season so I believe its correct to pile on the pressure and cut the bullshit for once.
  17. I don't think he's that naive or stupid, he is just looking to get the most out of anyone he is forced to keep for a year.
  18. If Cooper is signed we are still well short at CB and a couple of injuries away from the type of quality that will see us torn apart, that trend continues throughout the squad. Right footed LBs are horrible to watch and affect the way a team plays going forward, never mind one as defensive as Flanagan no matter how solid he is, he is our best RB. Goldson shows that if we put money into the club and show ambition we will improve vastly, it's up to the board to continue that trend and leave celtic in no doubt they are in for a battle, no excuse is good enough IMO. I still think this board will go down as the board that saved the club but set it back a decade on the playing front.
  19. Our best attacking player by some distance is a RB who will cost us several more goals this season at the other end, we scored 3 more than a celtic team that wasn't statistically much better than it was under Mowbray. celtic will bust a gut to absolutely finish us this season and there is zero chance they will be complacent, it's head in the sand stuff to suggest journeymen like Candeias and extremely inconsistent talent like Windass and Morelos will get anywhere near the depth and quality they have, our attacking options are bench players in ideal circumstances and it's just idiocy to suggest otherwise. Our attack has been shocking when it's actually mattered, I don't know when it's going to sink in that we play absolute shite most weeks to the point that guys like Boyd (now) and Boyce have coasted it in recent seasons, that's why we continually beat poor sides and go on a small run, get over-excited in time for an OF then get another wake up call. We have two CB's and one has been described as a 'baby' who needs eased in, so the defence is vastly over-rated until proven otherwise for a prolonged period of time when it matters. Gerrard has inherited a mess, I'm happy with this being a season of transition from his point of view, but the boards investment has been average at best and they will cut corners to save money without a shadow of a doubt. Mark my words by the end of this season those in denial will have nowhere to hide when it's plainly obvious serious investment and ambition is needed and that we have very, very few players who should even be in a Rangers squad.
  20. Worrying that several posters and now Dave King have ran with that line, Leigh Griffiths would comfortably be our best player and is 3rd choice by some distance We have never laid a glove on celtic in an attacking sense, even the 3-2 game we absolutely shat it and our goals were hardly free flowing football, it was obvious we would shite it We need a good 3/4 attacking signings just for this season, if we don't have enough then how do we expect to have enough when it inevitably goes tits up because we didn't invest and the full squad and staff need overhauled? Will Dave King and the board ever learn that one season leaving everyone in no doubt we will be successful costs less than 4 seasons ripping it up and starting again?
  21. Baring in mind that he spat the dummy out and it became a big thing when he was benched for ONE game you have to wonder how he will react if Sadiq and a new striker completely show him up
  22. The only criticism of him is that he's a woeful defender and poor captain who will cost us, which is correct, doesn't matter how good going forward he is, that will only sink in if we get another 5 put past us though no doubt
