In a parallel universe, If we signed someone for 35m, Scottish football terms I would expect the second coming of Laudrup or Gazza. 
The fact a player of that value can't make the majority of his SPFL opponents look like total amateurs really does show how over inflated the EPL really is.

Think he's decent but will never be a value for money signing for us as I'd imagine we'd be looking at £7m-£8m to get him permanently with a good wage to boot.

This. Motherwell should have been the warning. Getting back in to the tarrier game should have given them the confidence and motivation. In the end they've chucked it. 

I’d be playing Robbie Fraser over him at this point, he’s absolutely done and another who’s been given way more chances than he deserves. 

I just find it baffling that we are on for a treble,were favourites to win the league, and....the belief just dies with the finish line in site.
I cannot understand how enough people in the team - people who have had the discipline and drive to make it in professional sport - can collectively lose that drive. I cannot comprehend that.
What we've witnessed isn't even what I'd call "bottling it". It's something deeper and more rotten.

How is it, this young man gets it and those other imposters don't. Nothing to do with belief in themselves....they just don't give a single toss.  After 55...nothing means anything to them anymore. As far as they're concerned, they did their bit for that.

Pretty much what I was coming in to say.....very similar interviews, but two totally different points. Sterling is clearly having a go at the rest of the squad saying they have lost belief....while Goldson stated they had lost their hunger.....including himself in that. Admitted that they gave up at HT in that semi when only 2 goals behind. 
I still think Gio, Beale or even Phil should have found a new captain. Tav has been invaluable for us, but he's far too laid back to be our captain 

He should be in the middle of the park

Really like him , he's always willing to throw himself into tackles , back in the day when the chips were down all it took was a crunching tackle from somebody like Bomber to get the crowd going and then a reaction from the rest of the team, this lot couldn't get fired up in a fuckin volcano.

I said it in the match thread last night that I feel sorry for Butland and Sterling for having to deal with this shower of shite they are on the park with and unfortunately I think he knows himself hes on the park with a bunch of useless twats.

The key difference is the honesty of his words as opposed to the bland nothingness offered by others at the club.
Personally, I’d build a team for next season around Butland, Yilmaz, Cortes (assuming that deal can be closed), Diomande and Sterling and give Dujon the armband.

Got a lot of time for Sterling and its refreshing to see him being so honest. One of maybe 2 or 3 I'd keep.

Guys played everywhere he's been asked & apart from the odd average performance he's been good for us

"We're fighting for a title but the way we're playing we're not playing for nothing" (in other words we are playing like there is nothing to play for)

"Somehow its gotta switch but I don't have the words to do it or know how to do it myself personally, its a team thing, its not just one person its not just the gaffer"
He knows its wrong and he's doing what he can but its not down to one person or the manager i.e. its the rest of the fucking squad. Last night this was evident (other than McAusland) in terms of effort on the park.

Therein lies the difference between us and them.
Can guarantee their dressing room has thought all along they'd win the league. Bordering on arrogance, no doubt.
They have a culture of winning, we don't. 

Sterling was one of very few who showed the right desire last night, he's earned the right to say that. 

Sterling is the exact type of player clearly physically and mentally we should be looking at. Young, hungry, athletic and clearly desperate for success. 
 
He’s literally a blue print of when you win your first trophy it develops the hunger for more. He sounds completely pissed off at whatever seems to have happened behind the scenes
