Hibs might be more likely to get behind this once Bill Foley has invested. It's hard to imagine a successful US businessman accepting a governing body that's run so incompetently and almost proactively stifling growth of the game/product. Similar story to Cormack.

Can't see us getting Miovski at this point. There'll be clubs in England and the continent who'll offer him very good wages.

I think he’s a genuinely exceptional manager. When we were weighing up candidates, the thing that really made him stand out to me was winning back-to-back titles in a very decent competition like the Belgian Pro League with different clubs. That’s an unbelievable achievement and the strongest indicator that we had someone pretty special.

Looking forward to seeing him get more minutes.

Now the window's shut, it's clear that we'll need him to make a big contribution. He's done pretty well for PSV and Anderlecht previously. Fingers crossed he becomes a big player for us in the coming weeks.

I'd be happy if the club offered a 2-year extension on the same terms. If he wants a longer deal (3-4 years), surely we could offer something where in the last 1-2 years of the deal, he's guaranteed X% of his current salary, with the remainder based on hitting appearance targets?

Well, that's the thing, I'm not sure how much value there is in an attacking player who only does okay if we're already comfortable. For me, he's usually pretty mediocre, even if we're ahead. Four seasons here and he's contributed 7 goals and 4 assists in >3,200 minutes in the league. We can't have a winger who gets an assist every 800 minutes.

I don't even rate him coming off the bench, to be honest. Couple of notable exceptions (especially at Hampden) but if we need to create something and he comes on at 60-70 mins I'm never optimistic.

I don't think we can shift him - because the wage we pay him is clearly more than he's worth - and when squads get thin managers always end up trying him. That's the problem with trying to rotate when so many of the squad are too poor to even be squad players here. When he's run out his contract here, I'm not even sure an Aberdeen/Hearts/Hibs level club would be looking to pick him up. Says it all.
