There's a player in there which we all seen before his injury but his confidence has just completely gone. Whether he just can't mentally hack it playing for this club or his family issues are affecting him, I sadly can't see us getting the type of performance out him that we seen early on. It's massive we get a midfielder in during January that will take him out the team. I still think he can bring something to the team as a squad player but we can't be starting him in games in the second half of the season if we want to get better.

Guardiola, Mourinho, and Klopp couldn't get it done in their first seasons and they're obviously more than decent managers. Sometimes completely rebuilding a team works straight away but more often than not it's going to take more than 1 transfer window. He's improved us in Europe, made us better defensively and recruited a team that won't need a complete overhaul again in the summer. And I'm not saying he's perfect but for once I actually have a bit of hope again. We're a couple of players away with genuine quality from putting a proper challenge on the title. We struggled with battling in Europe and in the league, like many teams do, and without the distraction of Europe we'll start to see better performances now I feel. And we have to keep players fit cause that's another thing that's absolutely fucking us at the moment.

It's all down to the midfield in my opinion. We need goals from the midfield consistently and we'll never get that with the midfield we played today. Arfield is our biggest miss right now and we need to strengthen in there in January. I couldn't give a fuck if it's a loan but it just has to be someone who can run beyond the striker and get themselves into dangerous positions. We all have our opinions on Davis but at least it'll add more depth in there and we can stop playing Coulibaly who's fucking atrocious. However we definitely need another midfielder on top of Davis as he won't be the answer to our creativity problem. Mcauley, Barisic and Kent are huge misses as well. Put those 3 back in the team as well as Arfield and we're a much better and more enjoyable team to watch. Saying that though we shouldn't be relying on a 39 year old centre back as one of our starting centre halves. I genuinely think there's a team there that can win the title but as soon as we're fucked with injuries and suspensions there just isn't the standard required to step in and get the job done.
