He’s great when you’re ahead and looking to control possession but, when you’re trailing and the clock is going double speed, this fannying about between him, Goldson, Souttar and, to a lesser extent, Butland and Tavernier, drives me fucking crazy. Hate to say it but he’s a poor man’s Calum McGregor. Thanks John, all the best for the future.

Was afraid he’d put his shot into the stand but I needn’t have worried. He missed that too. -

Strong bench if needed. Professional job means no issues imo. -

He was injured not too long ago and we’ve got three games in eight days. We really shouldn’t need him tbh. -

Matondo is the epitome of an impact player, not surprised he’s on the bench. Sterling rested and kept for bigger battles ahead. To be honest, that eleven should easily be enough. -
Given the random scheduling (no sniggering at the back), I’m expecting: Dundee away Scum away St Mirren Ibrox Hearts away Killie Ibrox Thats the most awkward order, gives us another match at Dens before it resembles a proper pitch and leaves us the two toughest non-OF teams to win back our title. The most important factor for me is going to the Glitterdome to win and get all thoughts of a draw being enough out of our minds. I trust Clement to get their heads in the right place and see us through.

I think the point he’s trying to make is that the original option date (3/4, before scum game) was never really an option as the pitch was already unplayable. So they opted for 10/4 but the pitch didn’t improve and the SPFL is now halfway up Shite Street and they’ve lost their map. -

Dropping Sterling for Lawrence? What dope you smoking, mate? -
Hope his car doesn’t break down and he needs a lift home. Meanwhile, in Rangers Injury Bingo, I’m only waiting for a broken fingernail and a stubbed toe for a full house 👍

People criticising the SPFL are being unfair in suggesting they’ve mishandled this mess. In fact they’ve just unveiled the specific measure taken to increase the probability of the new date going ahead… -

Not to mention two nights for umpteen rooms at The Old Course Hotel and four hours (twice) in buses instead of resting, physio or training. Completely unacceptable. -

The stadium and, more importantly, the pitch have been neglected because they want to move to Camperdown. The money that any responsible team spends on pitch maintenance has presumably been spent on players giving Dundee an unfair advantage. Such behaviour must surely be a breach of the rules. Five postponements so far and, let’s be honest, the Motherwell game should have been six. Next week could easily be seven. SPFL well within their rights to award the points to their greatly inconvenienced opponents. -

…which is exactly as forecast. If it’s raining at 2pm and it looks like staying on, the only responsible thing to do is call it off. -

The reason that a minimum standard of stadium was established for entry into the top tier was to prevent clubs neglecting their grounds and using every penny on wages to improve their team. In Dundee’s case, it’s not structural failings but the playing surface. Basically the whole surface needs lifted, proper drainage installed (under soil heating probably a luxury too far) and then relaid with professional maintenance to keep it playable (as a minimum) except in biblical weather. They've obviously spent heehaw on the surface with the money presumably spent on playing staff. For that reason, they should be getting hammered by the SPFL.
