Fan engagement is critical to Rangers’ success, and the Rangers board are committed to driving best-in-class fan engagement experience and ensuring supporters voices are heard at every level. Rangers SLO Greg Marshall, who has recently returned from Frankfurt after attending the European Football Fans Congress, said: "Following our experiences in Europe and viewing what many other elite European sides have in place, we have plans to expand and grow our Fan Engagement Department and improve this crucial link we have with our fans. "The increased emphasis and investment in fan engagement will include several exciting new roles solely dedicated to ensuring that supporters’ voices are heard, alongside new and renewed initiatives to quantify feedback to the inform the key decisions taken at the club. In recent years, the world has changed, but Rangers supporters have remained loyal, and we must evolve our processes so that the connection between club and our global support continues to thrive." The key to strengthening engagement will be the introduction of regular structured dialogue between the support and the club. Rangers will hold these meetings at Ibrox and across the UK. The notes and key outputs from these meetings will be shared with all supporters via the clubs official website. Supporters can register their interest in attending any of the meetings HERE. For those who cannot attend, Rangers will issue a supporter survey that we would encourage supporters to complete. Furthermore, structured dialogue with Rangers Supporters Clubs will also take place to shape the future of a vital section of the Rangers community. The content of all structured dialogue will be shared with the Rangers board to inform decision-making and help shape the future of Rangers FC. The Fan Engagement Department will also host a drop-in session on Wednesday 10th August from 11am – 4pm in Copland House, where supporters are welcome to discuss any topics that they feel are important to them. As further outreach, we are inviting supporters to submit questions to be answered via a new feature named 'Ask Rangers' which will seek to provide a new insight into the club . To submit a question, please email slo@Rangers.co.uk with the subject line 'Fan Engagement Q&A'. Other new initiatives include: Introducing a brand new matchday team to liaise with supporters and provide feedback on key issues. These exciting new roles will be ideal for dedicated Rangers supporters and will be appointed from within the Rangers community Increased engagement with the local community to improve the matchday experience for supporters and local residents. Continued expansion of our newly launched Customer Service department, which includes 6 full-time staff focused on answering supporter queries Post match surveys to highlight and quantify match experience Exploring cutting-edge technology to help gather and quantify supporter sentiment online For any questions or feedback on any of the above, please reach out to slo@Rangers.co.uk
  3. Some make the mistake of thinking that fans forums are indicative of the support as a whole, nothing could be further from the truth. The majority of our wide support would claim to be Protestant but a sizeable minority are secular. The same goes for unionism but it’s patently obvious that tens of thousands of Rangers fans vote SNP and voted yes in 2014. Everyone, Anyone.
  4. Yes and sang it many times when I was a lot younger.
  5. Nope I’m a big guy with no bladder problems.
  6. BR4 and yes but only Rangers songs. Not interested in pope, Vatican, Rome, Bobby Sands, Ira, UVf etc.etc.
  7. At least Ibrox would be open. If this lot continue we will be banned from Europe, do you not understand that?
  8. Beat me to it. Not one word accepting any guilt, just how wonderful they believe they are.
  9. Sorry if in wrong forum, can admin move it?
  10. We had enough eejits there today. Some of our fans just cannot behave.

  12. Bobby Shearer's medal collection to go up for auction By National Newsdesk TWENTY-ONE medals belonging to late Rangers star Bobby Shearer are going under the hammer this month. The collection, which is being sold by the footballer’s family, is believed to be the largest set of Rangers medals to feature in a single auction. Covering the period 1955 to 1965, they include the former captain’s League Cup and League Championship medals from the Rangers treble-winning 1963/64 season, which could fetch £1500 and £2500 respectively. They will go under the hammer at McTear’s Sporting Medals and Trophies Auction in Glasgow on July 19. The sale will also include the player’s finalist medal from the European Cup Winner’s Cup in 1961, which Rangers lost over two legs to Fiorentina. Experts believe the lot could sell for up to £3000. Shearer’s widow Helen said: “I wasn’t a big football fan but I enjoyed going to the games to support Robert. He loved playing for Rangers and was very well respected by all the players. He was tough on the pitch but always fair. “He had lots of football friends, including a lot of folk at celtic. He was honoured to become the captain of Rangers Football Club and captained the treble-winning team in 1963/64. “There are a lot of lovely memories tied in to the collection, and the family are keeping a few medals, but to be honest I think the time is right for the others to come out of their boxes and to be passed on to football fans who will treasure them.” During his time at Ibrox, he won five league titles, three Scottish Cups and four League Cups, and also played four times for Scotland. He died on November 6 2006, aged 74. Brian Clements, from McTear’s, said: “Bobby Shearer was a true Rangers legend who picked up every honour going in the Scottish game, including a treble haul of medals in season 1963/64. “We see a lot of Old Firm medals coming through the doors at McTear’s but this is by far the largest collection associated with a single player. “There are some fantastic individual pieces; however, the collection as a whole paints a fascinating picture of Rangers success from 1955 to 1965. I have no doubt there will be considerable interest in the auction.” In addition to the Rangers items, the Bobby Shearer collection also includes medals from the player’s time in the RAF in the early 1950s.
  13. Rangers are delighted to announce that the Women’s first-team and Academy have become fully integrated within the club’s football department. The exciting move means Rangers will have the opportunity to recruit professional players, as well as turn some of our existing players professional. Rangers Women will now play all their home games at the Hummel Training Centre, when the second half of their season resumes in August, following a break for the summer’s World Cup. The new stand at the club’s training facility has been developed in line with Scottish Women’s Premier League requirements for this purpose. Learn More: https://rng.rs/2XPVSZy
  14. Been told he’s surplus to requirements. From the Sun JORDAN ROSSITER will have no part to play at Rangers next season. The Gers midfielder - along with Kyle Lafferty, Eros Grezda, Graham Dorrans and Jason Holt - has been left at home and told to find a new club while the rest of the squad get to work in Portugal. Rossiter was tipped for big things at Liverpool before Gers move Rossiter, 22, has barely featured for the Light Blues because of injuries since joining from Liverpool three years ago. The former England U-19s captain was outstanding during a loan spell at Bury last season. But Steven Gerrard already has plenty of midfield options and is on the verge of adding out-of-contract Charlton star Joe Aribo. The Ibrox boss admits it was difficult telling the quintet their services were no longer required, although he accepts there can be no room for sentiment. He enjoyed a successful loan at Bury last season. He added: “The squad is big. We have 28 players with us right now. “The board haven’t said and they haven’t put me under any pressure, but you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to work out the squad is too big. “I have to be honest and tell people they won’t get the game time that will satisfy them. “It’s not as brutal as saying get out as quick as you can, we don’t respect you and don’t love you anymore. “But as a manager you have to make tough decisions and you have to go with what you think is the best prepared squad to challenge next season. “Yes, I have had to have difficult conversations with certain players, but I hope they understand I’m trying to be as respectful as I can to give them as much time to find a different route. “My job is to manage the team, manage game time, make team selections and pick squads best capable of being successful. “In terms of contracts and what is out there for them, that is where their agents will come into it more than myself. “It’s very easy for a manager to be selfish and keep them in the door for as long as you want and tell them later on in the window. I don’t think that is fair. “I want to give people I respect the best chance to get the best solution for them. “That is why I have told certain people as early as I can.”
  15. I never noticed any end date for renewal on the email I received.
  16. Thanks. There’s always a comedian 😀
  17. Anyone know when the last date is for existing ST holders to renew?
  18. The Ibrox chief released a statement after season tickets went on sale for the 2019/20 campaign. DAVE KING says Rangers are within 'tangible reach' of becoming the 'dominant force in Scottish football again. The Gers chief released a statement to supporters after season tickets went on sale for the 2019/20 season. And he said it has been 'extremely gratifying' to have 'witnessed the progress that has been made over the last year'. King insists Gers playing squad is 'significantly stronger than in recent seasons' as he promised to back Gerrard in the transfer market. Fans will have to fork out extra after season tickets were increased by five per cent with a waiting list for supporters who don't yet own a season book. Full Statement I begin by again offering my most sincere thanks to each and every Rangers supporter for the continued commitment and understanding that you have shown throughout the recent rebuilding of our club. It was never going to be easy and it is extremely gratifying to have witnessed the progress that has been made over the last year. We are now within tangible reach of Rangers becoming the dominant force in Scottish football again. Much of the progress on the pitch can be attributed to Mark Allen, Steven Gerrard and their respective management teams. Turning to a young manager was a risk but it was one that Mark and the Board felt we should take because of Steven Gerrard’s football pedigree. Steven’s passion, professionalism and winning mentality has been inculcated throughout the football activities at all levels and we have seen strong benefits from this. Of significance was our first, strong European campaign for many years. The team was heroic at times in battling through four very tough qualifiers and went on to narrowly miss making the knock-out stages. However, the inconsistency that inevitably comes with another new management team and a new group of players was also evident. We saw periods where we were rightly regarded as title contenders, followed by periods of varying quality. However, despite these periods of inconsistency it is clear that the playing squad is significantly stronger than in recent seasons and, importantly for future transfer activity, the overall value of the squad has greatly increased. This is a tribute to the work that Mark, Steven and their management teams have done to improve the process behind player recruitment and their overhaul of the training methods and the general wellbeing of the football squad at all levels and age groups. The team requires a further upgrade and the Board will continue to back Mark and Steven, who fully understand that Rangers must win titles and cups and plans are already in place for recruitment in the summer window. Rangers has always been a leader on and off the pitch. Apart from the aim of amassing titles and trophies, being part of Rangers as a fan, player, manager or director means we conduct ourselves in a specific manner. Our club often comes under unfair attack and we are relentless in working hard behind the scenes, and up front when necessary, to make sure we are given the respect our club and our massive support deserves. But we will not engage in unseemly debates through the media. Conducting ourselves with dignity is a part of who we are and it is up to us to set standards. However, in doing this, we will not allow ourselves to be treated differently or held to a different set of rules. The institution that is Rangers Football club is special and has a unique place in football history as having won – by quite some distance – more trophies than any other club in the world. We must now start adding to this record but can only achieve this by remaining together and being stronger in our unity than other clubs. This season, a record number of season tickets were sold and it would be remarkable if we could again hit that number as we lay the foundations for what we hope will be the season which sees Rangers triumphant again. Your Board is committed to providing further funding and we are also asking for supporters’ help through renewing season tickets, which will increase in cost by only 5%. We feel this is not an excessive increase and every fan should know that the season-ticket revenue will solely go towards the first-team squad. We have also witnessed a significant advancement at the Academy under the guidance of Craig Mulholland and his team. This was evidenced by our under-17s who went to Qatar and won the prestigious Alkass Cup. This triumph – and the fact that more than 20 of our players across all age groups were called up for international duty recently – are clear signs that the Academy is doing a terrific job. Rangers is a massive club and our importance demands that we contribute to the broader community as a whole. No club in the country does more to help those less fortunate than we do. The Rangers Charity Foundation’s work goes mostly unheralded but through its various education, health and well-being, employability, diversity and inclusion programmes (as well as many others) it continues to be a force for good and has eased the lives of hundreds of thousands of people who need help in so many ways. In order to further boost our charitable activities we are proud, for the first time, to have included a £2 donation for the Rangers Charity Foundation as part of the Season Ticket payment. I know that all fans will support this initiative to help others. I sincerely hope that you will renew your season ticket for 2019/20 and thank you in advance for your continued support. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/4124732/dave-king-Rangers-tangible-reach-dominant-force-scottish-football/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1555320989
