Boab
However he isn't trying to find Brahim Hemdani or finding the new Bendriksen... Battling On RANGERS' Arctic Challenge team are closing in on the finish line as they find themselves just one day from completing their 200km dog sled in Norway. Today was their tough day yet as they battled against biting cross winds to complete a 35km journey from the Maze Cabin to Nedre Millisjokk. The trek took the group down a river and through a forest to one of the largest lakes in the country. But as they made their way across six miles of frozen water, horrendous weather conditions meant visibility was less than 20 metres. The Gers party is now just 55km from where it started in Gargia and they'll set off from on the final leg tomorrow morning. It has been quite an adventure which has taken in some breathtaking scenery, not to mention a fight between two of the huskies that led to their handling biting one in the ear! Former Light Blues midfielder Alex Rae is on the trip and it's fair to say it has left a lasting impression on him. He said: "Today was one of the best days of my life. It was really trying and testing but it was amazing at the same time and we all came through it safely. "When we were going over the lake, it was Keystone Cops stuff as we were all falling off our sleds because of the ferocious winds. "It was probably as cold a day as we've experienced since we got here and with a blizzard in our faces, it was pretty extreme. "The conditions took us by surprise after a couple of calm days but it's a challenge we all relished and I'll remember this forever." Along with Rae, Rangers' team has included chief executive Martin Bain and Charity Foundation manager Connal Cochrane. Staff members Kerr, Jacqui Gourlay are Debbie McRae are also taking part as well as a number of Ibrox supporters. Anyone who wishes to sponsor the Polar Bears as they complete their fantastic journey can donate online at www.justgiving.com/rangersarcticchallenge. They can also donate by texting RANGERS to 63320.
