Danny
Looking at the Street Fighter 4 thread, some folks are having serious issues in terms difficulty. Great game but apparently hard as nails. And the same applies to Wipeout HD - a game which was so hard it had to have a patch which eased up the difficulty a tad. But given I'm currently getting destroyed within seconds on my current race, I guess it's still tougher than vindaloo'd mutton. There is a fine line between a good challenge and being sodding too hard.
trueblue1872
I remember stuntman for the PS2. Great game but hard as fuck!
J-Maestro
Ninja Gaiden Sigma now that is a hard game!!!
simon
try street fighter!! its fucking impossible!!
brissyger
Midnight Club Los Angeles is also quite challenging. The AI is ridiculously good at driving and if you make the slightest error in judgement you'll crash and lose the race. Can be very frustrating after a few attempts. radlord
Ikaruga is on XBLA isn't it? THAT'S a hard game.
barkie
I agree street fighter is brutal one mistake sometimes results in instant death from a face smashing combo. I pity anyone who have never played SF before, this game must hell for them.
brissyger
I think they make games deliberately hard now because people have been gaming so long. Guitar Hero 1 and 2 were challenging all the way to the end but still do-able. Then with Guitar Hero 3 they kicked it up a notch and I found a couple of songs impossible to play on Hard mode. With the Guitar Hero 4 though it seems they've made it a bit simpler again. It's ridiculous if people on here are struggling with SF even on easy mode. Your game needs to be accessible to everyone, not just hardcore gamers. By the looks of it the people who made this haven't got that and so there will be a lot of people just giving in and trading it in I think. As for myself, I was going to have a go but I think I'll give it a miss and wait for Tekken 6, a series I prefer anyway.

barkie
I played SF2 to death 15/16 years ago so i know what i'm doing, the problem is not that it's too hard it's just the final shitty boss that is doing my head in as the games seems to ramp up the difficult level to extreme for him. One of the best games on the PS3 and i can't see Tekken 6 taking best fighter title from this, also Capcom have loads of updates and free downloads due soon. The best thing about this game is it goes back to about having some skill at games other than random smashing of buttons like most fighters so it pays to put the time in learning the moves.
