Thought i would ask peoples opinion on potential signing targets for next season....where we need to strengthen and who we need to get rid of... I have a sneaky feeling that we may go for Lee Miller next season...scottish, young, knows were the goal is and wont command a big wage.... If we do sell boydy, he may be viewed as a potential replacement....... Wouldn't mind a player like that leroy lita...Charlton looking to get rid and he's been out on loan for a while to a couple of different clubs... strong, quick and knows were the net is... Broadfoot has been a steady replacement for hutton but think we need a bit more in that departement and a replacement for weir. Clearout - hemdani, dailly, beasley - they are my main three out - wages a week nearly 40,000 a week for those 3 in guessing...I think smith the 3rd choice goalie is out too... papaguy51
Leroy Lita would be a great signing and instantly affordable. However, I think we need the following: Two new fullbacks. Two central defenders. Centre mid. A winger capable of playing both left and right comfortably. Another goalscorer and a striker capable of playing the lone front man role. The obvious deadwood really has to go this time around.
JRodgA2k8
A winger capable of playing both left and right comfortably. I think next season you will see that player being Aaron! Capable on both sides and he is being blooded into the team now and should be getting more exposure come the seasons end/start next season

Rory Loy is a very, very accomplished finisher and Stevie Kinniburgh and/or Wully McLachlan as full backs. Dean Furman and Andrew Shinnie also look like very good prospects, to me anyway. Muff
We need: RB, 2 x CB's, LB, RM/W and a ST and one of those players should have all the attributes to be a captain and leader and maybe a few more depending on who leaves. Out: Graeme Smith, Davie Weir, Christain Dailly, Andy Webster, Charlie Adam, Steven Whittaker, Lee McCulloch, Barry Ferguson, Brahim Hemdani, Kris Boyd. I'd like us to move on the likes of Kirk Broadfoot and Kenny Miller aswell but there isn't much chance of that. McGregor, Alexander and 3rd choice keeper. RB and Broadfoot Bougherra, 2 x CB's and Wilson LB and Papac RM/W Davis, Mendes, Thomson, Edu Beasley Aaron and Fleck ST, Lafferty, Miller, Novo, Loy

theweebarra
I think we are not to bad in Midfield, if we can hold on to Mendes, Davies can play centre Mid if Barry is not playing, as long as big Thommo returns fit and well. Agreed two Full backs required & a replacement for big Weir. Another Striker ? maybe not sure how it will pan out with Boyd/Lafferty/miller/vallecka but certainly a winger if possible. If we win the League ....sorry when we win the league then we need to buy a few players to compete in the Champions League, but will there be money avail?? BlueSuedeSambas
Th priorities have to be a right sided attacking full back, a big bustling centre forward, a winger and a centre half.

GeneralCartmanLee
With our Champions League money We were apparently having to sell a player for three million pounds to balance the books just 3 weeks ago, any CL money will go to service debt. People need to set realistic expectations for this summer, it will be net spend at best for us.
docspiderman
The biggest problem will be trying to get rid of the deadwood and parasites who are on too high wages for clubs to afford their limited ability. Probably have to pay out any spare cash on paying off Adam,Gow, Velicka,Webster and G Smith even before trying to get some compensation for Whittaker,Broadfoot,McCulloch(if only) etc. Think we will still be stuck with too many players and little scope to buy in the window. Amac9
Out: David Weir, Barry Ferguson, Brahim Hemdani, Charlie Adam, Lee McCulloch, Alan Gow, Graeme Smith, Andy Webster, Christian Dailly, Steven Whittaker, Andrius Velicka. Before getting new players in, get a manager in capable of spending money wisely

Before getting new players in, get a manager in capable of spending money wisely Thats not a bad list mate We have the likes of McMillan (maybe) for RB, Loy for the bench, Aaron and Fleck with more experience. Wylde and maybe Furman doing what aaron and fleck have done this season, along with the likes of Naismith, Lafferty, Davis all still being pretty young. Thomson for captain (and he captained a club before), maybe even Stevie Smith might get back up to speed Maybe the spending we need to do isnt as big as some think? We could actually, accentuate the home grown talent with some good players, ala Mendes, rather than just bodies

He's a better bet than Whittaker and Broadfoot. Fleck, Loy, Aaron and maybe Shinnie may come through and be given chances. As for Furman I realy hope we tie him down on a new contract as he is out of contract in the summer and to loose a player of his standard for nothing would be criminal. We could have the basis of a good team if we keep our top players and get rid of the deadwood. A spine of McGregor, Bougherra, CB??, Davis, Mendes, Thomson, ST?? would be not too bad
TannochsideBear
Strangely enough for a squad that is on course for the domestic treble, there are very few players I would be really sorry to see go, or in an ideal world, keep. I would prefer to keep as I dont think we could get better within our wage structure, McGregor, Bougherra, Thomson, Boyd. Davis and Mendes are certainly good enough but are on very expensive salaries. I would lose no sleep over the loss of Edu, Weir, Papac, Ferguson, Hemdani, Novo, McCulloch, Naismith, Gow, G.Smith, Miller, Beasley, Broadfoot, Webster, Dailly, Alexander, S.Smith, Lafferty, Whittaker, Velicka. martin93
We need a quality centre half, providing Bougherra stays. A quality right winger as well, i'd probably sell Davis tbh, When Thomson's back i'd have him and Mendes if still here, and Davis imo is too good to have on the bench,so we could get decent money for him. Gaffbear
First and foremost we need 2 full backs and a centre half.. We can make do with the rest but Broadfoot has to go...Weir will go i think too along with hemdani,McCulloch,Novo,Beasley,Webster and maybe big sales being McGregor and Boyd.
